The prices here are pretty steep, but then again, you can't get most of the items anywhere else.

My sis & I enjoyed it so much, we decided to become "VIP" members. Since then, we have painted a number of pieces. It's a very relaxing experience ~ we go during day hours when it's less busy ~ though even at peak or popular times, painters seem zoned into their pieces! When I've done an order for something they don't have in stock, particularly an indie cover of Morbidly Yours, it came in quickly and was ready for me within two weeks of placing the order. I love their used book program. I bring in books that I'm done reading or don't see myself rereading, and get exchange credit that I can use in store for other used books. This has been great, especially because when I can't find a used copy I'm looking for somewhere else, they've always had it. I like particular covers, and I've never had trouble finding what I'm looking for in their used stacks. Specifically, I was looking for the original cover of Shiver from when I was in middle school, and they were the only ones in town to have it.

I was still at the counter and asked if i got it home and it didn't light up what was the return policy and was told there was a no return policy. I decided while i was at the counter and hadn't left the store that i didn't want to risk it and wanted my money back. The counter clerk checked with the manager and came back and told me i was out of luck since there was a no return policy. They are unscrupulous and thieves at that store. This was the store that was off of 1st street in Tucson Arizona.

The way he breaks things down to their simplest elements makes it super easy to understand and follow his class. If you're looking for an art class, I can't recommend his enough.

Instead of just slapping paint on the canvas, we went through the process with traditional techniques (research and development, sketching drafts, transferring the enlarged sketch onto the canvas, more research and development for color schemes, perspective, lighting, composition, and we even pulled off fish eye lens camera angle). Jake is not just a dime-a-dozen art teacher. He is thorough and professional receiving an A+++ in my opinion.
