Rude owner with zero customer service skills & extremely poor-quality "premium" beads. Never accepts returns or exchanges. I bought a $125 strand of 4mm faceted tourmaline rondelle beads that the owner, David, himself took out from the locked glass counter upon me asking for 4mm faceted rondelle gemstone beads for daily wear in a strung bracelet. He never mentioned anything to be aware or cautious of regarding these beads, especially irregularities & drilling issues. When I tried to string the beads at home on 0.014inch fine beading wire--the same gauge that fits even 2mm stones--most of the first few beads wouldn't let the wire pass through. I stopped immediately, left the strand 90% intact, and returned to the shop with the beads and a still-sealed brand new crimp tool I no longer needed (as I found my old crimp tool). As soon as I walked in, the owner stared at me & said (loudly, so that all other customers could here), "Oh, you look like you're ready to party," dripping with sarcasm. I explained the issue and asked to return the strand and the unopened tool. His responses were: "We never offer exchanges or returns--never ever. If I did, everyone would want to return things." This is truly telling that there are many issues of beads, findings, & items available for sale at his store. "Gemstone beads from India are like that. Use silk thread or extra-fine wire, or just wire-wrap them." For a strand of beads kept under lock and key at $125, I expect uniform drilling that allows at least fine wire to pass through, especially since these beads are twice the size (4 mm) of the stones I normally work with. I've bought plenty of gemstones from India & all over the world for similar prices (& much cheaper prices) without ever having this issue. David has stated in other reviews "we do guarantee the quality of our products", but clearly this is untrue as for a $125 strand of 4mm gemstone beads, a 0.014inch (fine) or even medium wire should be able to pass through them. Horrendous. While I was still at the counter, another customer tried to exchange metal findings that had changed color after just a few days. The owner dismissed her just as rudely. For someone who just spent $350 the day before & $260 the following day, trying to return a $125 strand of beads & a $12 crimp tool, proper customer service & kindness would have resolved the issue & kept me coming back. Instead, I'll never return. I have already referred all of my beading friends to do the same. Summary: Quality control: well below substandard for the price. Return policy: nonexistent & not disclosed at checkout or printed on the receipt. Customer service: the owner, David, is sarcastic, arrogant, & belittling--he "teaches" by making you feel wrong. It's his way or you are wrong. If you value respectful service, honest policies & quality beads shop anywhere else. read more

This store is amazing with so many to satisfy everyone looking for that special something! I was overwhelmed and because I was looking after my grandbaby, I saw a few things but nothing I gravitated towards. Maybe next time. My daughter got some pearls but I think she was just as overwhelmed. She says she will come back with her friend that makes all the crystal jewelry. I had a bracelet that needed repaired and required some very small beads. I found Bead Holiday on the web and decided to visit their location. I was amazed at the variety of beads, charms, stones, etc. they offer. I'm not a bead crafter however I am now interested in returning and exploring making a bracelet. The staff and owner are super welcoming and helpful. They gave advice on what might be used to replace the beads on my broken bracelet and showed me how it might look. After making my selection, they charged me a moderate repair fee with the bead cost pending based on the number needed for the repair. Within 3 days of leaving my bracelet, they called saying it was ready. It looks amazing. My first visit gave me the idea to replace a piece to another bracelet. So upon my return, they guided me to options that would work for my bracelet and allowed me time to wander and make my selections. In addition to a plethora of beads, charms, etc. and repair services, they will also guide you on making your bracelet on site. Highly recommend this shop even if you aren't a current bead crafter, you'll find something that sparks your creativity. read more

When I got home I realized that one of the wires I bought was not the correct one since it did not have a label. Upon returning to the store, the owner of the establishment told me that she would not exchange it, even though I showed her the receipt for what I paid and the wire was intact. I couldn't tell you how many times I have passed by this place and didn't give it a second thought. We've been to the national chains and they're not a bad place to spend money but had wife and I considered this first, I think we would have found ourselves to be much more regular customers. This place is deceivingly big (and when your items are beads, this means they've got A LOT of inventory). It is unfortunate that we didn't give ourselves more time to dig deep; and it is also unfortunate that the one thing we needed they didn't have, but that didn't stop BeadHoliday from leaving a wonderful impression. I really look forward to coming back; I know there are some finds here that will really jump-start the imagination in a way that we haven't considered yet. read more

They have two locations although I've only ever been to the Ft. Lowell location. My wife loves their selection of beads for embroidery. They have a broad selection including tons of antique beads from Germany and Eastern Europe. Animal beads, metal, stone, glass, plastic, etc. They also have a ton of buttons, antique and new. Reasonable prices as well. They have in-store beading sessions on Thursday evenings with demonstrations of various techniques as well. Oh yeah, and if you need, there is also a "guy's room" in the back with chairs and a tv. Nice thinking although I actually was pretty intrigued looking at all the beads. Great staff. I don't usually engage in Yelp drama, but I have to say something. Midnight C.'s reviews (both of them) are bogus. First of all, 6 months between responses is peculiar. But the content is really what bugs me, if the prices are the ONLY thing that bothers you and you otherwise like the place, selection and service, how does that merit at 2 star rating? Onto the good stuff: this place could not be any better in my opinion. I find their prices reasonable when you consider all that you are getting for your money. I don't usually ask for help, but it is offered to me at least twice while I am in there. I also see the staff working with individual customers on their projects for large chunks of time. I always stay way too long in this store, keep up the great work. :) read more

Tucson's biggest retail selection of beads, hands down. The staff can be a bit absent, but that's usually okay with me as I can wander around or stare at a single corner bead for as long as I want without feeling like I'm being stalked. If you do have a question, you'll likely have to seek out help- but they're happy to direct you or answer as long as you're not being vague. Also- be prepared to check your large bag (even if it's a purse) at the counter when you enter, I've seen some people protest this, but remember that it's actually pretty nice to not have to haul it around the store. Also- for parking, don't try to park on the gravel it's a mess trying to get out just park on the side street and walk a few feet over to the store. read more

Im in here for pretty basic bead needs so I'm more than satisfied with the selection. I really like the gems natural stone pieces they have, there are even Jewelry making workshops every week if your having trouble getting inspired or just starting. The staff is really nice and helpful. The store is well lit and has an openness about itself that make for comfortable bead shopping. Im glad the little beads baskets have a little hand sanitizer because i went somewhere else that didn't have it and its just nice to have clean hands on beads. I love this place...I have added so many unique beads to my collection thanks to Bead Holiday (used to be A Beaucoup Conge). The first time I went in I was very overwhelmed (this place has LOTS of beads & such), but that was taken care of thanks to a quick store tour and friendly staff. This place has basically everything you need to make wonderful jewelry (sterling silver, gold filled, copper, silk, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gems, glass, etc.). I want to apologize to the Yelper's out there for taking so long in updating this, but sometimes time just seems to not be enough (I need 36 hour days!). As many of you know, David from Beaucoup Conge sent a reply to my post regarding my original review. David kindly told us that the metal components/beads they sell are made in the US and hence cost a bit more since the quality is better and they are safe from harmful toxic materials. To his reply I want to add that I will agree and say that he is right about the harmful content of toxic agents found in many metal components made outside the US. However, if you read my full review you will see that I talked about not only metal components, but beads (glass, plastic, and wood) and tools, as well as other items. In this aspect I stand by my previous words and continue to believe that those items that were outside of the metal components/beads, etc remain valued at a much higher price than those same exact items when purchased in other places. This applies not only to those items mentioned above, but to original Swarovski crystals and some of the tools and wire that I have purchased before. As both me and David agree, there is a high incidence of beading items that contain harmful/toxic levels of dangerous components, but this does not mean that every single one of the items I have purchased from sellers online or locally are tainted. I take my safety and the safety of those who use my jewelry very serious, as many of them are friends or family members, so I would not jeopardize their health for any amount of money. But also, I would not deprive them by purchasing items at prices that are above that which I could find anywhere else. Beaucoup Conge continues to be one of the stores where I search for items not found anywhere else, and as I said before, I will continue to visit from time to time, but price comparison will always be present whenever I feel like buying something there. What an amazing selection of vintage and new glass beads!

I was sent to this store in the hope that I could fix two broken sterling silver pendant necklaces. I had gone to a jeweler and was quoted over $200 to fix them as they needed to be soldered. Thanks to Suzanne in the store she was able to help me with picking out the right chain and links to fix these two necklaces. In fact she did even more than I had expected and fixed them right then and there in front of me. The total for both necklaces fixed was $36! So happy that I was referred to this place by a customer in Michaels. They have classes that you can do to learn about making jewelry, so I might even sign up for a class. Great selection of stone and vintage beads, in addition to the usual bead store stock. Friendly and helpful staff, decent layout of the store. Fair warning, this is not a quick trip shop on your first time in- there is a mandatory 5 minute orientation speech to listen to on the way in, and the store itself has so much inventory it's overwhelming. Add to that the Arizona heat and some patchy air conditioning, and you get a dizzying sensory overload. If you can, I'd recommend coming on a cool day and /or breaking your visit into two trips.
