Bed bug bites. First night at the hotel

Worst, experience. They find every way to make you ineligible for the "promised gifts. Offered me 4 gifts then went to zero. Don't waste your time. Additionally, hotel they put me in that I paid out of pocket in advance in the amount of $399 + taxes and fees gave me bed bugs. I understand everyone needs a place to stay and am empathetic to people that have mental health needs. I say this because the hotel we were placed in by Bluegreen Vacations, the hotel staff did wellness checks for displaced individuals and knocked on doors from room to room for those residents and my first night of check-in I was approached by a man and followed from my car to the exit, who is a long term resident of the hotel. Please be careful of their business practices.

Hotels and rooms very nice and accommodating. I asked staff about doing certain things In colonial Williamsburg the staff stated "unless your into furniture I would not do it". I spent all week in Colonial Williamsburg and didn't even know it. When I went to Colonial Williamsburg and discovered what it was I was disappointed that I didn't get to spend more time going into the old buildings and houses and taking the tours. Also I felt forced into buying more points to be able to avoid fees which was a lie u can't buy more time to avoid fees. You can trade your time in for fees. But then you can't stay anywhere

Days Inn and Suits in Williamsburg: A list of things that's wrong with our hotel room: 1) Upon entering the room, it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room even though there's a sign that says Non-Smoking. 2) The beds weren't a Queen size bed. My husband had to sleep on another bed. We both wouldn't even be able to sleep on one bed. 3) There's no plug in one of the sinks. I lost an earring down the drain. 4) The one that does have a plug, it doesn't go down. 5) The tub looks like it has seen better days. 6) There's only one trashcan. 7) No hair dryer. 8) The bed my husband slept on had cigarette burns on the blanket. 9) The bed wasn't comfortable. Too soft. 10) The outlets isn't secured.

So our suite is beautiful. It has a nice kitchen, large table, and a living room, a bedroom in the hall with a bathroom and a master bedroom with an attached master bathroom. Was handicap accessible I could use my wheelchair if I needed it. Plenty of plugs USB connectors. The TVs are gorgeous. The rooms were laid out nicely. But there were some pitfalls so my master suite was very dusty. I mean dusty. I will take a quick picture and throw it on this review of my lamp in my room. The one other issue was there was stains on the carpet. And the bed in the master bedroom is beyond soft on one side I mean you sit on it and it collapses the other side of the bed is more firm, but still very worn out. My friend staying in the other bedroom said the bed was killing her back, but it wasn't quite as collapsed as the master bedroom. She also said there were hairs in the hall bathtub. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I would probably bring my swiffer, some cleaning supplies and a heating pad for my back. All that being said the master bathroom completely handicap assessable, the showers were hot, and the water pressure was good but again the bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner as well. There was dust everywhere! there was a lighted mirror, and I had to clean it before I used it. The kitchen also has some cleanliness issues. There were old coffee grounds in the coffee pot, and the carafe was not emptied. The coffee pot was old as the hot plate for the carafe was in rough shape. The dishwasher had an old half dissolved block in the dispenser. I had to double up on my allergy meds as well as stay on Sudafed round the clock during my stay. Everything was dusty, tv, dresser and night stand tops. I had to pull a nightstand out to access a plug and that was a disgusting mess back there. The cleaning staff could use some red-training!! The staff was very friendly. There was an alarm noise from other rooms, and the noises from upstairs was loud. The parking lot was well lit, and we were actually able to park in front of our bedroom windows.

We arrived around 6:30 PM to check in on a Friday and were promptly greeted. Desk attendant acknowledged my Platinum Status and was very friendly. We were given a room on the 1st floor. Room was a two queen bedroom suite with a sofa. Room was a fair size, one tv, bed was comfortable and everything appeared clean. Breakfast each morning was good. Eggs, hash browns, a meat or apples, waffles. A very good selection. Sunday there was a large group of students. Everything was pretty good. They have a game room present with an arcade. My youngest son spent almost an hour in here on 10.00. We used the pool which had a tepid temperature and the hot tub was so so. Location is outstanding. Short drive to Colonial Williamsburg or Busch Gardens. Plenty of restaurants and other businesses nearby. Only question is the color scheme, otherwise this is a perfect option in the area. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

The location of the inn could not be more perfect - adjacent to the historical area and close to many great restaurants. Our "George Washington" room was fabulous! Sometimes staying in an old historic building means dealing with dated rooms. Everything in our room was updated, thoughtful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Lots of wonderful little touches. The four poster bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The wifi worked great and there were lots of convenient plugs, There is a nice lounge area with a lovely adjacent terrace and snacks and tea and coffee available along with a nice continental breakfast. We were there on a Monday night so not all restaurants were open but we enjoyed visits to Precarious, Amber Ox, Mellow Mushroom and Aromas. Thank you to Billy and Sharon for a wonderful stay!

There is a vanity, a little pillow on my bed with two glasses and a bottle of Bailey's Irish cream. There is an upscale Nespresso machine complete with pods and creamers. In the evening, they put away the decorative pillows from the bed, fill the ice bucket and leave it out with a tray with new bottles of Saratoga water. The in-room customer amenities are especially disappointing. The colors and quality feel dated, and the toothbrushes are extremely poor--bristles came loose while brushing, which raises both quality and hygiene concerns. The bathrobes were rough, overly dried, and clearly shrunken, making them uncomfortable to use. The restaurant also misses the mark. Several dishes felt inexpensive in both ingredients and execution: over-salted hams, cheap syrups, and overall weak preparation. The service team is lovely--and trying--but the food simply isn't at the level expected for this price point. Concierge and front desk interactions were fine, but at this rate, I expect a more thoughtful, elevated experience across the board. With some investment in better amenities, higher-quality guest products, and improved culinary standards, this could be a truly special stay. My room was large, comfortable, and in a great location with easy walking access to town. I especially enjoyed dinner at Fat Canary--excellent food and service.

There may be a family that benefits from housekeeping that swings a door into your feet at 9am, because they are hanging off of a creaky bed, but it certainly wasn't mine. Never mind the pretentiousness of a pretend cigar lounge, meaning not one to smoke in but just an aesthetic throwback to a time when people actually enjoyed themselves at this location. Not that one would want a cigar after eating chocolate pudding that tastes like it was infused with Trix cereal or any of the other dishes who sacrifice taste for novelty. I would have at least been frightened by the Colonial Williamsburg ghost tour, but after staying at this location, I realized that even the spirits probably wouldn't stick around.

First of all, there was an instruction card that came with the reservation however while it did indicate that there is a backdoor, it did not inform that this was the 'main' entrance. There is very limited parking and if you want to park across at the church on or the street, you are at risk of towing. They have no passes for parking in these locations. The beds are their own issue. If you are vertically challenged, you will have great difficulty getting into the main beds. We stayed in a 'suite' (I use this term laughingly as it was just two connecting rooms) that had another room with twin beds. While the main bed seemed to have a mattress from the last century, the twin beds were ancient. The "pillows" that they give you are quite literally flatter than a pancake they would serve you for breakfast. The suite we stayed in was in the front of the house and there is no insulation to cancel ANY of the traffic noises from outside. It was very very stuffy inside and I wasn't able to open a window. We asked for a step stool and were given one that wasn't even as high as a normal step on a staircase. It was still very difficult to get in to the bed. At no time while I was there did I see, hear or meet the host/hostess of the B&B. The only time we met any employee was in the morning during breakfast. These ladies were AMAZING. They almost made up for the lack of any other service or greeting in their friendliness. The breakfast was late the day I was there. There are signs everywhere stating that it would be served at 8:30 but it was closer to 9:30. I'm an early riser so this was a bit of an inconvenience. At least the coffee was available. They had eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal etc. It was set up as a buffet style in a very stylish area of the serving area. The dining room table is gorgeous but there are no placemats to put your plates on, I felt very worried about scratching this gorgeous table. The non guest rooms were fit with comfy areas to just relax and chill after a day of being a tourist. The furniture may not have been the most comfortable, but given how cozy each area was this was easily forgiven. I really enjoyed that each room had a Christmas tree already set up. This is not very handicapped friendly as no matter which way you enter, there are very old steps. The front steps were especially bad. To sum up; Parking; F Comfort; B Room Comfort: C+ Breakfast: A Location: A- Price: C (for our experience it was really really pricey)
