WARNING WARNING WARNING Don't Stay Here!!! We stayed November 7 thur 14 2025. The bed was comfortable, and the location was good. It goes downhill from there. Very basic unit, no frills. Windows were sealed and unabled to be opened. The toilets were extremely low, as though they were made for children. There were no handrails making it difficult for a 77 year old to get up. Also, there were no handrails in the shower, a large safety concern. The wifi was very slow when it worked, usually non-existent. I now see from other reviews that this is not a new issue. Management just doesn't care.The TV pixelated constantly, making watching it impossible. I spoke with staff numerous times and the issue was never resolved. Tiny kitchen, everything miniature, few accruments. Coffee pot needed cleaning to the point that coffee from it was undrinkable. Whoever purchased the sofa obviously never sat on it for more than 5 minutes, very uncomfortable. No washer and dryer in unit. There is no hot tub on property. The unit needed a good cleaning. You could write in the dust on the bathroonm cabinet shelves. They also charge an unadvertized "daily resort fee". My best guess is that the property is an old hotel converted to Bluegreen's idea of a resort. No comparison to real resorts we have stayed previously, would not stay here again. Bluegreen shoud be ashamed and embarrassed. read more

I paid $199 for a reservation with BlueGreen Vacations. When I had to cancel, they charged a $99 cancellation fee--which I was told would come out of the $199. Instead, they charged a second $99, totaling $300 for a room I never stayed in. Customer service refused to help or correct the issue. To begin: The ONLY thing wrong with our stay was the hard sell of yet another time-share as we checked in. We made it clear, 3 times, that we already are in with a company and that we are NOT interested. Yet they insisted on talking. Ruined the beginning of our vacation, as we hadn't even left the entrance area. After that all was fine. This is a very nice place in many ways. Huge room for a one bedroom. Very clean. Easy parking. Just a short walk to the downtown Old Town Williamsburg area, which is a huge plus. Nice indoor pool. And he staff was very helpful --- except for one person. But stop the damned hard sell --- it's actually a turn-off to those of us who specifically say that we don't want it and we are much less likely to ever stay there again, regardless of how nice it is. While we'd love to next time we're in Williamsburg, we are really hesitating due solely to this. read more

Worst, experience. They find every way to make you ineligible for the "promised gifts. Offered me 4 gifts then went to zero. Don't waste your time. Additionally, hotel they put me in that I paid out of pocket in advance in the amount of $399 + taxes and fees gave me bed bugs. I understand everyone needs a place to stay and am empathetic to people that have mental health needs. I say this because the hotel we were placed in by Bluegreen Vacations, the hotel staff did wellness checks for displaced individuals and knocked on doors from room to room for those residents and my first night of check-in I was approached by a man and followed from my car to the exit, who is a long term resident of the hotel. I spent all week in Colonial Williamsburg and didn't even know it. When I went to Colonial Williamsburg and discovered what it was I was disappointed that I didn't get to spend more time going into the old buildings and houses and taking the tours. Also I felt forced into buying more points to be able to avoid fees which was a lie u can't buy more time to avoid fees. You can trade your time in for fees. As a bluegreen owner we were extremely disappointed with the marketing manager. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. How a person like that became a manager is beyond me. The suite we had was fair, dark and depressing, oh, and the toilets are so low you might as well be squatting over a hole in the floor. I'd look elsewhere. read more

Days Inn and Suits in Williamsburg: A list of things that's wrong with our hotel room: 1) Upon entering the room, it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room even though there's a sign that says Non-Smoking. 2) The beds weren't a Queen size bed. My husband had to sleep on another bed. We both wouldn't even be able to sleep on one bed. 3) There's no plug in one of the sinks. I lost an earring down the drain. 4) The one that does have a plug, it doesn't go down. 5) The tub looks like it has seen better days. 6) There's only one trashcan. 7) No hair dryer. 8) The bed my husband slept on had cigarette burns on the blanket. 9) The bed wasn't comfortable. This was a nice resort hotel with full refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, sink, dishwasher, and dinnerwear. It was nice to be able to cook here, which helps cut down the cost of eating out all of the time and with a family of five, a meal out can get expensive quick. The indoor pool was shallow, 4 foot or less throughout most of the pool, which was great for my kids who are all 4 foot and shorter. We could have skipped going to the town and just hung out at the pool and the game room because they had more fun there than at the historical sites. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Williamsburg, but next time I would plan for more time staying at the resort and less time wandering around in the heat while the kids complain of boredom. read more

So our suite is beautiful. It has a nice kitchen, large table, and a living room, a bedroom in the hall with a bathroom and a master bedroom with an attached master bathroom. Was handicap accessible I could use my wheelchair if I needed it. Plenty of plugs USB connectors. The TVs are gorgeous. The rooms were laid out nicely. But there were some pitfalls so my master suite was very dusty. I mean dusty. I will take a quick picture and throw it on this review of my lamp in my room. The one other issue was there was stains on the carpet. And the bed in the master bedroom is beyond soft on one side I mean you sit on it and it collapses the other side of the bed is more firm, but still very worn out. My friend staying in the other bedroom said the bed was killing her back, but it wasn't quite as collapsed as the master bedroom. She also said there were hairs in the hall bathtub. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I would probably bring my swiffer, some cleaning supplies and a heating pad for my back. All that being said the master bathroom completely handicap assessable, the showers were hot, and the water pressure was good but again the bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner as well. There was dust everywhere! there was a lighted mirror, and I had to clean it before I used it. The kitchen also has some cleanliness issues. There were old coffee grounds in the coffee pot, and the carafe was not emptied. The coffee pot was old as the hot plate for the carafe was in rough shape. The dishwasher had an old half dissolved block in the dispenser. I had to double up on my allergy meds as well as stay on Sudafed round the clock during my stay. Everything was dusty, tv, dresser and night stand tops. I had to pull a nightstand out to access a plug and that was a disgusting mess back there. The cleaning staff could use some red-training!! The staff was very friendly. There was an alarm noise from other rooms, and the noises from upstairs was loud. The parking lot was well lit, and we were actually able to park in front of our bedroom windows. read more

We love the Bluegreen Resorts. This was our first visit to this local location. It's gorgeous here. Staff is very friendly. Pros: very close to Busch Gardens and Water Country. Very clean. We had a two bedroom, 900+ sq ft unit. Very spacious. Stayed in the 2000 building, only eight units on the third floor. Pool and game room was easily accessible. The front desk area has popcorn and snowcones. There is board games, puzzles and dvds to take back to your unit. Cons: Parking is tight if you have pickup. Unless I missed it, there are no daily activities for the kids. We stayed at the fountains in Orlando and there was always something going on. Being, what I thought, was a more family resort we were surprised at the lack of activities. Either the walls are thin or our neighbors were deaf, because we could hear their tv clear as day as we lay in bed at night. Overall, we were satisfied. read more

Stayed here again in 2018 and they now have a small indoor pool but it was closed on the day we wanted to use it. The rooms are fine but there is a major design flaw with the open (no door) master bath. If one person uses the shower or bath they turn on the light and wake the other up. Also no shower curtain so water gets everywhere and no light inside shower stall. Horrible bathroom design. Otherwise? A nice kitchen and 2nd bedroom area. Having a kitchen is terrific for family traveling for a week. We made breakfast and sometimes lunch to save $$. Reception lades were nice and we were walking distance to the Historic Colonial Area. Super close to Busch Gardens/Water Country USA, too. read more

Disappointed at customer service. We got a gift card from attending their timeshare event, and yesterday I found out it was expired. I thought this gift card will have at least 5 years of expiration as other majority cards, but no. This one has less than a year. I know I should've checked, but unfortunately, I missed it. I called the number on the back, corporate office, and the Shenandoah office with no luck. 1 800 number on the back sees I didn't use the money, but they couldn't update the expiration date. The office said they tell people about short expiration, but not sure if I missed it or they forgot to inform me. If I knew, I would've used it right away. We've been visiting that place so many times with our friends, and I was hoping they will help me out, but no. read more

We booked last year for our vacation in Jan 16 2022. We asked for a ocean view that was verified for our trip to the Tradewinds in St. Pertersburg Florida. When we arrived and got our room, our view was a set of air conditioners on a roof top. Our trip to the main desk wasn't any help, stated we are sorry however we do not have any available. We stayed in a studio at Patrick Henry Square again a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the studios had the same kitchen set up the two bedrooms have: two "burner" electric stove, convection/microwave oven, full refrigerator and dishwasher. Aside from the smaller full sized bed (we have a queen at home and generally book to get a king if we can), I liked it better than having the master bedroom in a two bedroom as I don't really like the bathroom set up in the latter (long and narrow with just a shower, no bathtub) whereas the studio's bathroom is more like your standard bathroom. Ours was located in the new building, right off the elevator. As long as you're not booking one of the old hotel rooms, the studios are nice, clean and like I said the only complaint I'd have is that you lose the king bed of the two bedroom master bedroom for a full sized bed. read more

We weren't expecting much from this hotel but it totally exceeded our expectations. We had a two-bedroom, two-bath suite that was beautiful. It comes fully stocked with dish ware and cooking utensils, has a full kitchen including a dishwasher, 3 TVs and a fireplace. The hotel also has a beautiful indoor pool, outdoor fireplaces and spots for grilling. The lobby staff are all helpful and friendly. The hotel is a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg which makes touring around very easy. For this quality and location, the price was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming here again. read more

We had a great stay. Had rolled WYNDHAM points to rci and got our reservation that way. Was within walking distance to edge of colonial Williamsburg. Space was clean and quiet where we were staying. Didn't use pool or other areas. As we often find, even with a kitchenette the ventilation is lacking. We cooked breakfast each day and could never get the cooking smells aired out. read more

Set just across the road from the Colonial Williamsburg horse pastures, there isn't much to say other than, it was super clean, staff were nice and friendly, and the rooms were nice and comfy. Typical setup that we have come to expect with these timeshare condos. Minus two benefits, which we've grown accustom to which were, in unit laundry and a pool. The laundry was just down the hall from our unit, which wasn't a big deal but it would have been nice to cut out the small closet in the master bath, shorten up the master shower, to add a washer and dryer. If this place had been busy the handful of washers and driers would not have been enough. Again, NO POOL!! For those who like that feature as we do, we were there in the early Spring and didn't miss it, but it would be seriously missed during the summer months. Not much of a view from our unit, we faced out back onto some greenery, parking lot and the train tracks, which we didn't hear at night, so I have no complaints about that! Next door the Patrick Henry Inn is in a sad state, I'm guessing it's being remodeled, from the looks of things they have a ways to go. Furniture and kitchenette we fine, someone had cooked bacon in the unit prior to our rental, we opted to buy a candle or two at the local Dollar store to freshen things up, I'm not one to turn down bacon smelling anything, but in a enclosed condo it was a bit much. Still the unit was very clean, other than the smell that did go away after a while. Well situated between Busch Gardens and the many historical sites in the area, it was a great central location for accessing the all things Virginia. Chic-a-fila isn't too far away, via car, which was an added bonus. Closest walking distance to a store is the 7-11, if you have a car there are no issues. Decent parking, nice quiet facility, great place to come back to in the evening to relax and recharge after a long day. read more

I am not a Bluegreen employee or customer. I am only writing this because I found my experience with Bluegreen to be completely fair and transparent. I was not happy that my wife signed us up for this, but I was extremely happy afterward. This is a business that offers discount hotel stays and gift cards in exchange for sitting through a promotional talk for a vacation product. The basic pitch is this- you pay up front for a lifetime of vacations at a wide variety of resorts- presumably paying less with BG than you would paying for hotels annually. I had never done this kind of thing before (free hotel stays for listening to a pitch). When my wife told me she had signed us up (paid $200 up front for 3 nights in a hotel and a promise of $125 in gift cards- total cost $25 a night), I was extremely suspicious. I consulted the Better Business Bureau and found negative comments (accusations of misrepresentation, hidden costs, people given expired gift cards, etc.) I was concerned, and, to be honest, worried that we might even have to find alternate lodging. But everything was EXACTLY as advertised. The BBB reviews suggested that customers didn't realize they would have to sit for a sales pitch. BS. This was clearly explained in multiple emails from the beginning. There was no doubt- trust me, I dreaded it for 2 months! We checked in the first night. We were surprised that we weren't staying at the Bluegreen property, but given 3 nights at a hotel down the road. The hotel was a Holiday Inn Express and perfectly fine. Check in was seemless. The rooms we were shown (during the tour the next day) at the BG property were vastly better than any normal hotel- like small or medium apartments. When checking in the first night and on the tour the next day, we saw paid customers, all of whom seemed happy. They also seemed more relaxed, comfortable and 'at home' than most hotel guests. We had some flexibility on choosing the time for our sales pitch the second day. Everyone was friendly. They had food, a movie room for kids. I said that I didn't want to agree to a credit check and they were cool with that. The pitch was NOT high pressure. We saw a slideshow from a long-time BG member who told us about their properties and her experiences. She was enthused and BG seemed to work well for her family vacations. We got a tour of two different suites, which were awesome, including one with multiple bunk beds, which our kids loved. After the tour, everyone needs to sit down with a sales rep who outlines different packages. You pay a certain amount up front and then get points you can apply to vacations each year. I looked up one resort and we could have stayed 2.5 weeks a year, off season, with the number of points in the standard package. This really might be a good plan for some families. We aren't a family that can predict our vacations in advance and we end up living overseas half the time, so this wasn't a good fit for us. Also, we have old parents, so we stay with them any time we are on vacation- so we don't need places to stay. We explained this. They offered us some less expensive packages. We repeated that it was not a good fit. They accepted this, gave us the gift cards and that was it. The entire time of the pitch, tour and sit down with the rep ran 3 hours- a little longer than advertised, but we also freely chatted with the sales people, possibly extending the time. Obviously, BG wanted the sale and they weren't happy that we didn't buy, but no one was rude or pushy. Both the presenter in the sales pitch and the sales rep were charming, pleasant people. There was a supervisor who was a little less accepting of our disinterest, but he presented his offer and accepted (unhappily) our rejection. The paperwork we saw clearly detailed annual fees and other costs that I saw people claim were hidden in the BBB complaints. No, these costs were clearly labeled in the documents we saw. I was looking for them and they were plain as day. Some customers might have been too weak to say no, or didn't read emails and contracts, but there was NOTHING deceptive or pushy that we saw. We used the gift cards to pay for a nice dinner for four in town that same day and they worked fine. I went into the experience expecting a fight and expecting to 'gotcha' these people, but they were quite pleasant, transparent and completely fulfilled their promises. I promised my wife I would write a good review because I was so surprised that everything turned out nicely. read more

Our rooms were very nice. Just for a "resort" there was only a pool. No restaurant on site, no bar, no hot tub. Our room was still in need for cleaning the moment we arrived. The staff were however very attentive, and the price was right for our family of 4. The best western next door did have a bar and a restaurant, just to put that in perspective. They do put their prospective buyers in a priority group than their normal guests. It's a nice perk for those of us who were contemplating to buy, but if you are waiting in line for 10 mins and they keep putting priority people in front of you, as you can imagine it becomes quite frustrating. read more

If you're traveling as a family and would like an affordable 2 bedroom option, this place is great! Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly for the most part. This hotel is in perfect proximity to Colonial Williamsburg and you can definitely walk it if you don't mind starting near the old capitol building. If you want to start at the visitor's center, drive and park. With all the walking through the sites, and especially if you're with kids, it'd be too much to walk from the hotel to the visitor's center The hotel was undergoing some extensive renovations while we were there, so no pool. We will definitely visit again we all had a great time. read more

My parents made the 6 hour trip and arrived to find out they got a standard room instead of the premium they paid for. Management offered only $20 of the $123 paid for the upgrade. We had the two bedroom. Funny setup. Doors in Master bedroom were in the way as they stuck out in the walkway. When they were open, you were afraid you would walk into the edge of one in the night. Just an average hotel room with kitchenette. BlueGreen advertises that they are special but sorry, pretty run of the mill hotel room, without daily maid service. This is my third stay with Bluegreen and I must say they have been consistent. They have the most uncomfortable furniture I have ever encountered outside of Fred Flintstone's! Oh, one of the best things here is that of our view. We overlook the railroad tracks about 100 feet away. Hope you like trains because they run day and night. The TVs are nice, 3 flat screens. Kitchenette was fine and everything worked well. The stove does not have an oven, but has a convection/microwave. Worked pretty well actually. One last thing. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and on an extended stay, some of the hotel's room keys stop working on the last day. I don't quite know why but maybe to ensure you come by their front desk before your departure. These were mostly lower end establishments. It works nice. You take a load out to your car and when you try to get back in your room, electronic key will not work! This is the way of BlueGreen it appears. I took a load of baggage to my truck and returned to my room. The card worked to get me in the building but would not open the room door. Had to go all the way back down and out of the building to get to front desk in another building! This was not a fluke, my wife's card was the same. BlueGreen? No thank you! read more

I don't know if it was because we were on the "sampler" tour (no longer offered), but our room was NOT comfortable. No air flow or window in master bedroom, ice maker in fridge broken. Amenities like fitness center and pool are 5 star, lumpy bed and scratchy sheets are 1 star. Unless you plan on getting the equivalent of a second mortgage to be an owner, don't expect to be treated well. Our concerns were not addressed read more

Where do I start. The front desk staff were bragging that the building and room that we were staying in was brand new. However there is nothing for kids to do at the "Resort". Well the rooms are beautiful, but makeup doesn't make a pig look any better. We stayed in a brand new room that the toilets backed up and the shower did not drain. We were then moved to another brand new room that was full of boxes from the staff trying to get ready for completion. We were then given another brand new room in which the brand new televisions were not working because the wall cable was not even connected inside the wall for the tv. Not only that but the dryer is piping hot and producing heat and we haven't even used it. Oh yeah did I mention we have no hot water. "Who in hell inspected this place"? If not for Jon the maintenance man we would have left in the middle of the night the first night. He was the saving grace for this pig with makeup. We will never stay at this place again. They owe us money for putting up with the nonsense. If I could rate this place lower I would! It gets a 1 star because of Jon the maintenance man! read more

We had an amazing time. The suite was imaculate. For a small resort, the amenities were ample. Salt water pool is gorgeous. Went with time share seminar. No pushy salesman. We went timeshare tour. So we booked up grad room with extra $80 per night. Our family couldn't make it. So we trying to cancel the up grad and money back. But they said only members can cancel. We r not a member and just tour. So couldn't cancel, just check in the rooms. Rooms are nice and new. But not clean very well. Chunk of dust on the floor. Extra sheets are dirty stinky... and next day we went to tour and got some gift. Restaurant certificates are ant working , we paid our food. and restaurant gift card is not a gift card. This is Dining coupon. They gave us $200 for dining coupons. But every single time i need to spend minimum $20 then iI need login to website and purchase $10certificates spend$10 at the time. And once a month. So i need to us this coupon for 20month.... what kind of gift card is that. And we paid $300 ahead of this tour. And receive a lot of gift but gift is not free this is trash. However, we waste our holiday vacation time and our money. We are deceived........... read more
