This place is scary! The people who work here are lovely! Really good folk. Imagine being lured to Williamsburg to talk time share by Hilton and they put you up in a tear down! The ceiling moldy!...we changed rooms... tired, dirty, and lots broken. We thought... if this is how they care for a property why would we buy into it? Our sales guy explained it away as a holiday shortage of rooms and that's why we were put in this hotel. The hotel is scheduled for renovation...but I'd avoid it until that time! It became a comedy... don't spend good money on this spot...

Having staff serve the buffet items speeds the process...well done, ladies!

This is a special shout-out to the hotel's breakfast crew: Erica, Patricia, Linda and Ernestine -- their bright and bubbly personalities have made our school group's mornings start on a high note. It's nice to see how much they enjoy what they're doing and we couldn't be happier they are taking care of our tour group so well! Well done, ladies!

A good place to stay when visiting Colonial Williamsurg The Embassy Suites is located within a few miles of the historic city of Colonial Williamsburg. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. There is plenty of parking around the hotel. As with most Embassy Suites hotels, it offers all-suite accommodations with separate living rooms and bedrooms, making it a great option for families or groups of travelers or groups that wants space to spread out when in the room. There is a central atrium that is open to the roof presenting a large open space as you enter and allowing guests to see the whole hotel when they step out of their room. This hotel differed from other Embassy suites in a few ways. It sports only 5 floors where many others are much taller. The elevators do not have any windows to see the atrium and our suite had the bathroom near the front door instead of between the bedroom and living room. Happy hour and cooked-to-order breakfast are served on the main floor at the appropriate times. Rooms are accessed by stairs or one of the elevators bordering the atrium. The staff was friendly. The room and common areas were clean. The rooms was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. The hotel has a fitness center. Overall, this Embassy Suites is a good choice for travelers visiting the area.

Very bad bug

Very disgusting and very bad they made us pay two dollars for water in the elevator is like slower than turtle

Mold

Upon arrival we were greeted by an amazing staff and our room/suite appeared to be to standard upon first glance. Not long after getting situated we noticed a few issue with the room. There was mold in the shower, parts of the furniture and structure of the shower were falling apart, the AC was not working and the rooms air quality/ventilation could use improvement. We reported the problem but nobody came out. We suffered the most on our last night.

We are Hilton Diamond members so always try to stay with the Hilton Family of Hotels when we travel. For this quick weekend trip to Williamsburg we were traveling with our two daughters as well as another family with two kids so we opted for Embassy because we like the pretty standard one bedroom suite options. For this stay we were also able to get an adjoining room with the other family. Check in was super easy and the front desk staff was pleasant. It's a nice lobby with the restaurant and bar area right after you pass the desk in an open atrium area. Each floor forms a ring around it looking down. The pool area is okay if a little sparse. Only a handful of chairs. At one point the had a hot tub (according to pictures) and we had been looking forward to after a day spent at Busch Gardens but apparently it was taken out at some point. Bummer. The reason I gave this hotel three stars instead of four is two reasons. The room sizes were cramped. We didn't expect a ton of space but we've stayed at a number of Embassy suites and these ones are just small. I'm talking two people can't comfortably pass each other if trying to walk between the base of the bed and the dresser in the bedroom. Or even when between the beds. Which leads to the second reason for three stars. One of the beds had a broken (sharp)part of the bed frame exposed and sticking out. When my husband trident slide behind me as I was leaning over the bed getting something from our suitcase, he sliced his lower leg open on it and instantly started bleeding pretty good. We called sown ti the front desk for a band aid and some antiseptic ointment but they never showed or brought it. They seemed almost indifferent to the fact that it even happened when he called. Luckily the friends we were traveling with had a bandaid he could use after the bleeding stopped and he got it cleaned up. The next morning we went down for their breakfast buffet. And this is the reason the review is saved and still solidly at 3 stars (might have even bumped it to a 4 if not for the injury). The buffet is one of the better ones we've had at a hotel. And it is included with your stay. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the woman making the omelettes was great and the omelet was loaded and tasty! We for downstairs at a busy time but they kept replenishing so no food ran out. We would probably stay here again but maybe not tonight it's so many people as there simply isn't space for it.

We had a nice 1 night stay there while visiting Williamsburg. Our room was clean, and comfortable. In the morning, we had breakfast there. It was a buffet style that they serve the food to you. The pancakes and sausage were barely warm, so we had to leave them on the plate. You can toast you'd own bread, and get your own cereal and juice. They did make the eggs to order however you like. This is a real plus from what the other hotels are offering during COVID. The ladies that served the breakfast were super kind and helpful. I'm glad to see things starting to go back to the direction of normal. That is a good option to stay if we are at Williamsburg again.

This is the sofa that was in our hotel room. This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The bed was like sleeping plywood.

This is the sofa that was in our room, nasty soiled sofa. The beds are hard as pile wood. I would Never stay at this hotel ever.

Another stain on the couch

First of all, the only thing making this a 2 star is the breakfast. The room was horrible, there were stains everywhere. And also the bathroom floors were sticky. Everything is also stained to go along with it. Even with all of that the worst is the mold in the window. But the fountain and the breakfast is fire.

get used to seeing a lot of this. You may want to grab a snack.

Diamond member here. Stay somewhere else. This is not a real Embassy Suites. I mean, the room's got a door and a sofa bed, but the similarities stop there. Paltry snacks? Check. Exasperated staff? Check. Bud keg kicked at 1745 so only beer is Bud Light? Oh yeah. You like tiny 60s elevators that creak? We got TWO. Ever tipped to get served off a buffet line? You have now. Didn't let the kids get in the pool. Demo this place.

We arrived around 6:30 PM to check in on a Friday and were promptly greeted. Desk attendant acknowledged my Platinum Status and was very friendly. We were given a room on the 1st floor. Room was a two queen bedroom suite with a sofa. Room was a fair size, one tv, bed was comfortable and everything appeared clean. Breakfast each morning was good. Eggs, hash browns, a meat or apples, waffles. A very good selection. Sunday there was a large group of students. Everything was pretty good. They have a game room present with an arcade. My youngest son spent almost an hour in here on 10.00. We used the pool which had a tepid temperature and the hot tub was so so. Location is outstanding. Short drive to Colonial Williamsburg or Busch Gardens. Plenty of restaurants and other businesses nearby. Only question is the color scheme, otherwise this is a perfect option in the area. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

The location of the inn could not be more perfect - adjacent to the historical area and close to many great restaurants. Our "George Washington" room was fabulous! Sometimes staying in an old historic building means dealing with dated rooms. Everything in our room was updated, thoughtful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Lots of wonderful little touches. The four poster bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. The wifi worked great and there were lots of convenient plugs, There is a nice lounge area with a lovely adjacent terrace and snacks and tea and coffee available along with a nice continental breakfast. We were there on a Monday night so not all restaurants were open but we enjoyed visits to Precarious, Amber Ox, Mellow Mushroom and Aromas. Thank you to Billy and Sharon for a wonderful stay!

There is a vanity, a little pillow on my bed with two glasses and a bottle of Bailey's Irish cream. There is an upscale Nespresso machine complete with pods and creamers. There's a soaking tub and a shower and so many amenities. Room service comes not once, but twice a day. They open the blinds, refill amenities and put away things to tidy the room. In the evening, they put away the decorative pillows from the bed, fill the ice bucket and leave it out with a tray with new bottles of Saratoga water. They leave a small bottle of Baileys on a little pillow with two small glasses. They also close the drapes. I am so spoiled. I love this place!

The in-room customer amenities are especially disappointing. The colors and quality feel dated, and the toothbrushes are extremely poor--bristles came loose while brushing, which raises both quality and hygiene concerns. The bathrobes were rough, overly dried, and clearly shrunken, making them uncomfortable to use. The restaurant also misses the mark. Several dishes felt inexpensive in both ingredients and execution: over-salted hams, cheap syrups, and overall weak preparation. The service team is lovely--and trying--but the food simply isn't at the level expected for this price point. Concierge and front desk interactions were fine, but at this rate, I expect a more thoughtful, elevated experience across the board. With some investment in better amenities, higher-quality guest products, and improved culinary standards, this could be a truly special stay. My room was large, comfortable, and in a great location with easy walking access to town. I especially enjoyed dinner at Fat Canary--excellent food and service.

There may be a family that benefits from housekeeping that swings a door into your feet at 9am, because they are hanging off of a creaky bed, but it certainly wasn't mine. Never mind the pretentiousness of a pretend cigar lounge, meaning not one to smoke in but just an aesthetic throwback to a time when people actually enjoyed themselves at this location. Not that one would want a cigar after eating chocolate pudding that tastes like it was infused with Trix cereal or any of the other dishes who sacrifice taste for novelty. I would have at least been frightened by the Colonial Williamsburg ghost tour, but after staying at this location, I realized that even the spirits probably wouldn't stick around.

First of all, there was an instruction card that came with the reservation however while it did indicate that there is a backdoor, it did not inform that this was the 'main' entrance. There is very limited parking and if you want to park across at the church on or the street, you are at risk of towing. They have no passes for parking in these locations. The beds are their own issue. If you are vertically challenged, you will have great difficulty getting into the main beds. We stayed in a 'suite' (I use this term laughingly as it was just two connecting rooms) that had another room with twin beds. While the main bed seemed to have a mattress from the last century, the twin beds were ancient. The "pillows" that they give you are quite literally flatter than a pancake they would serve you for breakfast. The suite we stayed in was in the front of the house and there is no insulation to cancel ANY of the traffic noises from outside. It was very very stuffy inside and I wasn't able to open a window. We asked for a step stool and were given one that wasn't even as high as a normal step on a staircase. It was still very difficult to get in to the bed. At no time while I was there did I see, hear or meet the host/hostess of the B&B. The only time we met any employee was in the morning during breakfast. These ladies were AMAZING. They almost made up for the lack of any other service or greeting in their friendliness. The breakfast was late the day I was there. There are signs everywhere stating that it would be served at 8:30 but it was closer to 9:30. I'm an early riser so this was a bit of an inconvenience. At least the coffee was available. They had eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal etc. It was set up as a buffet style in a very stylish area of the serving area. The dining room table is gorgeous but there are no placemats to put your plates on, I felt very worried about scratching this gorgeous table. The non guest rooms were fit with comfy areas to just relax and chill after a day of being a tourist. The furniture may not have been the most comfortable, but given how cozy each area was this was easily forgiven. I really enjoyed that each room had a Christmas tree already set up. This is not very handicapped friendly as no matter which way you enter, there are very old steps. The front steps were especially bad. To sum up; Parking; F Comfort; B Room Comfort: C+ Breakfast: A Location: A- Price: C (for our experience it was really really pricey)

We are a middle aged couple, and sometimes when we have the kids with us we review from that perspective as well. So if you were using your Bonvoy points from your Chase or American Express card, I would recommend you stay at Fairfield, town place or Springhill suites over the courtyard. The courtyard doesn't provide free coffee or breakfast. This particular courtyard I was shocked they didn't even offer coffee when it was 20 degrees outside, instead they had ice water with lemons and limes cut up in the lobby... this location should really rethink that. No one wants ice water when it's 20 outside. The place did have a conjoined indoor outdoor heated pool, we did not use it but there were kids using it. The place and room was very clean, staff were ok, not super nice and welcoming like some please. They do seem to have issues with staffing the coffee/food area where you can purchase coffee and food (small sandwiches but nothing filling). They do have lots of green space for your service dog but are not per friendly. They have an excellent restaurant next door, called The Whaleing Company, great food but just know your gonna spend $20 average a person and kids menu was chicken nuggets, pbj, and hot dog type of food (def not Applebees kids menu IYKYK). The clam chowder was very good! They accommodated my request of a ground floor, but my standard Bonvoy request for the extra pillows, towels was not. So just know if your like us and have a standing request for when you book, they don't seem to look at this area. Check in and out was simple, and overall it was a nice stay. I hope they read the suggestions... free coffee or hot chocolate is a must in the northern region during the winter.
