Hidden Gem! Bluegrass Billiards can be easily missed if you're not familiar with the area but definitely worth the visit. As crowded as this place can get there's always pool tables available. There's ample tables, ample space and plenty of room to move around. I love that they've upgraded and put tvs at almost every pool table. The food is adequate, nothing to write home about but they have some good options. The bar area is never overcrowded and they even have servers that come to your pool table to take food and drink orders. Great for beginners and those sharpening their skills. The crowd is mixed with various age ranges. The weekends are the best time for a popping social crowd while weekdays are slower and great for learning. read more

Great vibes, nice pool tables, & they also make the best cheesesteaks in the north east area!

This place is a vibe when my family has the tournament games against other rivals here. The atmosphere is roomy and big to walk around with variety's of tables to play. The bar service is ok and a bit expensive while it's a busy location so th lots of guests daily. Other than that my favorite part is the food and the hardworking employees working out from the restaurant and running the food to the tables. The crinkle fries are the best read more

Felt like I was going into a pool shark environment. Did not enjoy the food; greasy, overpriced, and was slow to come out. Not sure if it's cause of skin color but our greeting wasn't so pleasant compared to someone who was white. The price to play is also ridiculously high. Never coming back here again!!!! read more

Looking for billards in the NE and came across Bluegrass so I had to check them out. Parking is plentiful which is definitely needed for a spot with 50 tables, ping pong, arcade games, and a bar. Up front, there is a $20 pp deposit for each person (only cash, they do have an atm) for the table. I wasn't too mad at that so me and my boo got started. The place is huge and like I said there is a lil bit of everything going on in there. They're open til 2am and I'll definitely be back for ladies night on Wednesday. read more

Many billiards tables, darts, various food options including specials, no smoking inside, probably other stuff in the back I'm unaware of. Seems like a hip place. Looks like there's a mix of emotions and business handling for this place- some good and some bad. The fettucine special I had was okay. Just wanted to support a place that I was able to play in for awhile and something to fill my stomach enough. I'm lucky to have ended up with positive experiences, but I could easily fall into a pitfall if I wasn't coming as part of a billiards league. read more

What a Great place to play pool & Ping Pong, they also have other fun games like Basketball and Claw Machines and Video Poker. The food is really good too. They have a limited menu but everything I've had was spot on. Everything was made Fresh and to order. The Mozzarella Sticks may be the Best I've ever had. The Staff is Friendly and very Helpful. The decor is Fresh and Modern. The Pool Hall is kept very Clean and debris free. The Bathrooms are spotless and very modern. This place is Family friendly also. If you haven't been here yet, I highly suggest it. read more

we moved to Philly about 5 years ago and have been coming to bluegrass ever since we love it here the workers are great and the environment is better than most places! the food is incredible! the. pizza is everything!!!!! everything is reasonably priced. unfortunately we were there a few weeks ago on a weekend night [first for us] and we were not familiar with the young lady that was working the front counter, she was extremely rude and gave us a hard time about playing ping pong when we were already playing pool and made us feel like we weren't supposed to be there, not a big deal but probably won't be coming back on a weekend night. We will continue to come during the week when Mary and Danielle are working they make us feel welcomed and at home and they always go above and beyond when we come in. Danielle is a great bartender! the pool hall is a spot me and my family come to unwind at so we do appreciate the hospitality they always show us! we have booked a few parties there with Mare and have dealt with the other staff members in the past in and it's always a good time read more

This is a great place to play pool, whether you play casually or in a league. A lot of diamond tables available to rent. It may be difficult to get a table if busy from league play on certain nights. Most nights you have the ability to control the music. A Relaxed environment with a lot of open space between tables. The food is half decent & the portions are pretty big. It's on par from what you'd expect from a bar or pool hall. There's also a bar in front of the pool hall. read more

Food was very good service as well would recommend nice seating area and great food selections.

Terrible place with ridiculous rules for their table time. Definitely not a place that I would come back to. A total rip-off and terrible unfriendly. read more

Really nice spot; went with my son (who's 12) and it didn't feel out of place having a kid there (saw a few others in fact). Went on a Monday afternoon (Presidents' Day) and it was dirty cheap during the day; three apps (the mozzarella sticks are particularly good and seemed to be legit made in house and not the usual frozen ones you'd expect), drinks, and played for about an hour and 45 minutes for under $35 (not including tips). Pool and ping pong are cash only, bar and food are cash or card. Staff was helpful; plenty of TVs around the place. They do have some arcade games as well if you're interested. Overall pretty fun experience and would recommend! read more

Definitely a hidden gem! There's always pool tables available, the food is pretty good and the bartender can make really good drinks! Be aware there is a 20 dollar deposit per person (cash only). I have no complaints otherwise really great place with good vibes. read more

I have come to this location a few times, usually it is great. However, today, I was charged for an extra player. Instead of the worker acknowledging the mistake, the worker decided to have an argument with me for several minutes to convince me it was my fault and I was not clear enough with how many people would be playing. I have never seen worse customer service. Instead of resolving the issue the worker decided arguing with me was a better option. Sad to say I doubt I will be returning. Make sure you are clear about how many people are in your party, the workers don't take accountability for their mistakes! read more

We came here for lunch and everything was so good.. place is very clean, atmosphere is great, the mozzarella sticks were my favorite.. you can definitely tell they are homemade. Will definitely be back read more

To Whom It May Concern, On Sunday February 6, @ about 5:15pm. I myself and two others in my party walked in to play pool. The young lady at the desk informed me it would be twenty dollars per person to play on the tables. At that point I had some questions: How much are the tables per hour, $7.50 per hour was the reply. So you are telling me, you want me to pay you $82.50 for an hour. Which at that point the twenty dollar deposit for your table is more the twice the cost of the table per hour. Which didn't make any sense to me. she at that point told me and my party to leave. Why because I had questions on the deposit. Which she couldn't seem to give me a clear answer. Except the fact that HER father made the rule. Well what if I were to come back tomorrow. Would HER dad then determine the deposit to be $50.???? I think it was bad business practice and she needs customer service training badly. I will also be contacting the BBB on this matter!! Was me and my party or is this normal practice for BGB!! read more

Went for the first time last night with my husband. My first reaction was how bright and clean it was. I was skeptical about going to a pool hall but it wasn't dark and smokey which was a total pleasant surprise. We asked about drink/food service at the desk when we got our table and were told the servers would come around. We waited a little while for anyone to come down and take our order. So my husband walked around and eventually found someone to order drinks from. In the meantime another server came over to ask us if we needed anything. So we ordered two more drinks and nachos. So the first round of drinks came and then the nachos separately with no drinks. We tried the nachos and they were awful. Not sure how you mess up nachos, and I wish I took a picture - because they were inedible. The cheese was so brown I thought it was beans... no it was just burnt liquid cheese that tasted awful. The nachos were round tortilla chips that were also burnt and thick and just not good. We each had one nacho and couldn't stomach the rest. Then our other drinks come out and the second server asks us if we paid yet. I assumed we would be billed at the end when we closed out our tab. We told her we didn't pay for anything yet. Then the first server came over who brought us our food and the other server asked her if we paid. Again, we told them we didn't pay yet. Did they think we weren't trying to pay? so we paid for the 4 drinks and the nachos and that was that. A server came back around eventually to get another drink order and I told her she could take the nachos because they weren't edible and the cheese was brown and disgusting. She apologized, took the whole plate of nachos away (she can see we didn't touch them) and didn't offer to refund our money or send us over a round on the house or anything. Waste of money and a lost customer service opportunity, considering the place opened a few months ago. All in all we had a good time, the crowd was a mixed crowd age wise and it was a good atmosphere and ultimately my husband and I enjoyed a night out. As far as the service and food go, we were more than disappointed. I can't give more than 3 stars considering we waited so long for service and we were hungry and we couldn't even stomach the food. Is the service so slow so we stay on the table longer? More than likely, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Maybe we'll go back one night, but we wont come hungry that's for sure. read more

Always clean and always a good time- good food, affordable- just a nice atmosphere to hang out at even if you don't play pool.

i had a very unfortunate situation where i hit the table with my finger while playing pool & i hit it so hard that my ring bent in the shape of a cylinder crushing my finger & cutting off my circulation. i went to the bar asking for help or maybe olive oil & not only did Leighanna help me get it off (a mix of cold water & olive oil) she also helped keep me calm & miraculously had pliers in her bag to help bend my ring back to original shape. i am so thankful for her & will definitely come back to bluegrass knowing there are employees there who genuinely care about their patrons. thanks leighanna! you're a lifesaver!!!!! read more

What? A pool hall that is new, clean, smoke-free, and a pleasure to be in? Yes, we went there last Sunday for the first time, to play pool, have some tacos and also watch the Eagles. The tables are in great shape and there's lots of them. 7 foot(bar) and 9 foot tables. The women at the front desk are friendly and it was easy to feel comfortable there. No blasting music. No sceevy guys lurking. Just a great night. Okay, the tacos weren't the best we've ever had, but the drinks were decent and the prices were very reasonable. There's also a bunch of ping-pong tables toward the back if you're into that and the tables looked perfect. So glad to have an alternative to the over-priced, smelly, poorly run other halls or bars we've played at. Go there! read more

This is a great billiards hall & bar. It is certainly the nicest I have been in. We have paid a lot more for pool at grungier places in Center City. They really did a great job in making it nice, clean and modern in here but it still has the Cheers effect of a good dive bar. Staff is always friendly and drinks are reasonable. Lots of parking and a Juke Box so anyone can play tunes. read more
