And while the bartender I spoke to is a good guy and was right not to get involved, it still leaves you feeling like there's this unspoken "look the other way" culture. That doesn't sit right with me, it almost feels like it enables the wrong kind of behavior. To be clear, this incident did not take place in the parking lot of the bar, but it's the surrounding area which these morons typically come from. I saw a couple in their 50's screaming and fighting outside while kids were walking by with their dad getting ice cream. That's not something you want to see in your own neighborhood.
