I came here for the karaoke but stayed for the wings and Henny margaritas. You can't really ask for much more than that at a hotel restaurant in Atlantic City but I'm glad we popped into here. The restaurant is large for where it's located (on the 7th floor of the Fanta Sea Resorts - Flagship) and after a 20 min wait, my party of 12 was comfortably seated. Although the karaoke section of our night barely worked out (because there were too many androids at the table to use the app), i really enjoyed my food and drink. The wings were very crispy but still juicy inside and the margarita was only $12. Unheard of in a tourist trap like a hotel on the AC boardwalk. I'm very glad that my group decided to try this place and if you're looking for good wings and drinks, this is your place. read more

First, let me start by saying, we had the best waitress in the world. Her name was GG. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly! Second, The view was absolutely gorgeous, you can't beat it from the 7th floor of the resort. Third, and final, the food was very good. They were out of a lot of things but it was a Sunday afternoon and it gets that way on the weekends. My husband had the meatball sub and I had the cheesesteak and we both got the sweet potato fries. My cheesesteak was double the size of his sub, so I had to get a box for the rest. I would definitely recommend and we will go back again before we leave! Update: We went back again this evening and they had the cheesesteak egg rolls. They were absolutely incredible and we were lucky enough to have Miss GG, the worlds best waitress! The bartender was as nice as they come, and I'm sure they have a strict pour (like exact amount of liquor per drink), but my Tito's and Seltzer was so weak! My friend ordered a blended margarita and got one on the rocks. She is not one to speak up when something wrong, so she gamely drank it but pronounced it "really not good". On the other hand, the loaded fries (bacon & cheddar) were great and the calamari excellent. We sat at the bar, so the service was fine. I hate writing this, because my wife and I have had many good meals here over the years. However.....the breakfast buffet, which is apparently your only option here for breakfast, leaves much to be desired. Not that the food served is bad, it isn't. But for the price you pay ($22/person), there should be much more food to choose from. The only fruit served was orange slices and slices of honeydew melon. There was no bread/toast out and available. (I found out later that you could ask the staff for toast). No pancakes. No oatmeal (if you happen to be vegan - I'm not, but if you were, you're out of luck). The staff server had a bit of an attitude. So, there you have it. My friends and I went to AC over the weekend for my friend's bachelorette, and we stayed at Flagship Resort, where Blue Water Grille is housed in. The Owner, Hostess, and Waitress were all friendly, the view from the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was quick due to it being a buffet-style breakfast. With that being said, the potatoes and bacon tasted good, but not much else. It could be that we came in late for breakfast, but the pancakes and french toast were dry and cold. Also, the grits were bland; they didn't taste in them, though different people may like their grits a certain way in their defense. Of course, I can only speak for their breakfast, so maybe they have better meals for lunch and dinner, but it was just ok to me. read more

We eat out at least 20 times per month so I've been around a bit. Excluding places that are very expensive this place rates a 4 STAR rating for food quality and ambiance. Service is a bit slow and the mixed drinks are a bit pricy but they do have happy hour. Beers are $2 during happy hour and during regular hours bloody Mary's are $12.50! Way too high even though they are done perfectly. The Calamari appetizer is real good but you need to order it CRISPY or it comes a bit underdone. Good value too. The quesadilla appetizer is OFF THE HOOK! Great value for two people. Huge amount of stuff for $9. The burger is huge and very tasty. You need 2 big hands to handle it! I'm a big dude and the appetizer and the burger did me well. No need for desert. I never had room enough for desert after an appetizer and an entree like the burger. Burger was only $11--not bad for what you get. Very good deal! All things considered this is a great place-- especially if staying at the Flagship! Our time share is located here so why not go down stairs for a breakfast Buffett which cost $32 for 2 can't beat it our beverages were also included coffee, orange juice etc. There's not a wide selection but can't beat your basic sausage, bacon, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereals, home fried potatoes, French toast (which I didn't have) and a omelet station which was delicious. You can add vegetables to more meat if you want. I love the views from the windows of this restaurant with the exception of all of the construction on the boardwalk below us. The server was very knowledgeable and nice. The Decour is outdated and really put you into the 70s. The food struck me as sort of diner food slightly elevated. It certainly cost much more than diner food. But you're sort of a captive audience in that this is the only food option in the hotel and it's actually the only choice in the immediate war-torn area of North Atlantic City. I settled on a pasta dish and a salad. It was good enough. Nothing remarkable. One thing, I didn't appreciate where some of the other patrons in and around me and my table. I heard a lot of cursing. There certainly were a number of, let's say enthusiastic and jolly, people at the bar. For a second as a woman dining by myself, I felt a little nervous. I was considering going there for their weekend breakfast buffet but the cost seemed very prohibitive to me. One thing I don't like about the flagship timeshare/hotel in general, If you've got a full on restaurant, then why can't you offer room service to your guests? This is my fav Atlantic City eating establishment! You will have a well prepared, great tasting meal with great service and an outstanding view at Blue Water Grille every time. Today, the host who seated us had a funky lil 'tude on which is why I gave it 4 stars. However, our waiter, Maxie, was superb! His service, patience and demeanor more than made up for the host's behavior. I had the grilled salmon over sauteed spinach. All of which was cooked to perfection of texture, but could have used a lil more seasoning. Hubby enjoyed his NY Strip steak in silent meditation. He says he had not had a steak that good in about 5 years or more . It was served with colorful fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. We enjoyed everything-- except, when a patron at the bar decided to voluntarily perform her own karaoke show. It sucked & that host should have handled it, and did not! This is our go-to breakfast place on lazy Sunday mornings when staying at the Flagship Resort. The weekend breakfast buffet is decent...scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pastries...you know...standard breakfast food....plus there's an omlete station, which is pretty good. The place is slightly overpriced in my opinion, but since the Flagship is off the beaten path...it's very convient if you're staying there. I don't think it's worth the trip otherwise. read more

Oh wow. I'm the only reviewer here. Surprise, surprise! Because no one goes here. Except me and two friends on Halloween weekend. And you'd think a lack of patrons would speed up service a bit and make for an attentive staff. "Can I get you some more water?" "Is everything OK here?" "How is your delicious Basmati rice?" Wait. Rice? What rice? I ordered a caesar salad and a side of steamed brown rice. What I got was a bowl of hard white rice...an hour later. If I wanted to be neglected and given cold food, I would have eaten at my mother's. But alas, this isn't about cold food. This isn't even about the worst service I've received in my life. This is about the restaurant's oblivious response to having a short staff. And an even more oblivious response to hiring people that are less competent than the seagulls roaming the shore nearby. I stayed at the Flagship this weekend and my group decided to go to the Blue Water Grille for the breakfast buffet. The dining room was very open and had lots of natural lighting from the big windows. The view overlooked the bay into Brigantine creating a very positive atmosphere. The buffet was standard- they had scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, home fries, grits, fruit, cereal, bagels, pastries and other similar items. They also had a chef preparing made to order omelettes and waffles. There was turkey at the carving station too. There wasn't anything fancy about the meal, but it was solid breakfast food. Everything was hot and well prepared. What's not to love about a made to order omelette- especially since it was made well. That was probably my favorite item, however I did enjoy the waffles as well. A special shout out to the coffee. I don't know how it was prepared but it was delicious! Strong and flavorful. Our waiter was constantly checking back to top us off on water and coffee. I probably wouldn't have stumbled on Blue Water Grille on my own but I'm very satisfied with my breakfast experience. read more

I will start by saying that the food was passable. I enjoyed the salad and the Chicken Parmigiana for what they were, and the price was right, but they certainly weren't gangbusters. The worst was the service. Our server, possibly from Russia or another Eastern European country, started off well enough, bringing drinks and the meal. The timing was good and she seemed attentive. Then, as my friends and I continued to sit after dinner, our dishes remained on the tables in front of us for about a half hour as one latecomer finished up. When we inquired about dessert, we were told all they had was ice cream in two flavors, vanilla and strawberry. Two of my friends did order dessert, and while we waited for that and it was brought out and they ate it, all of the dinner and drink dishes continued to sit on the table for another fifteen minutes. So overall, very disappointed. Oh, and one last thing: The bartender was wearing what looked to be a Fruit of the Loom white v-neck t-shirt. Real professional. read more

We stayed at the flagship for a week and during this time the restuarant was only open a few days for a few hours. The videos in the elevator showed fine dining and seafood items which were not on the menu when we went there for dinner. It wasn't worth the money we spent and we were very disappointed. read more

I was confused with the menu only because it was their happy hour menu but instead of listing the price for the food as they were, it was the full price. I sat at the bar for at least 15 min before she even acknowledged me. Long Island Iced Tea was good but only half made up for her poor service. What a disappointment! I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a few years, it is in my neighborhood but I never got around to it. When I checked the website they showed an extensive menu and I anticipated a good meal. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very cordial gentlemen who Guided us to our table with a great view. Before arriving at the restaurant I pursued the website and noted the restaurant offered a happy hour with half-price wine beer and house liquor. The waitstaff consisted of one person who came to our table, handed us the menus and asked if we wanted something to drink, no mention was made of the happy hour and half-price drinks. I raised the subject to our server and she reiterated the information I gleaned online. At which point my dining partner ordered a glass of wine and I said I would have my wine with my entrée. We also ordered water and I stated I did not want any lemon when she returned we both had water and we both had lemon. At that point she asked if we were ready to order and my dining partner picked an item and she immediately said it was not available and proceeded to point out that 50% of the entrées they were out of. I had a dietary issue and was forced to order a sandwich. When the food did arrive it was tasty and well prepared however the server never offered wine and only returned once during our 45 minute experience asking if we needed anything. The gentleman who seated us also took our check which did reflect the half-price on the wine and was very courteous. I asked him what was going on with the menu and why 50% of the items were not available he said the restaurant was in the process of changing their menu. I asked when the new menu would be available and he did not know. This restaurant is the primary eatery in this resort. I am sure many guest arrive tired after traveling and will want to take advantage of a hot meal. There are many privately owned restaurants in Atlantic City that will provide better service and a menu with 95% of the items available. The only reason I gave this restaurant a two star was because of the food. One more point and I will complete this tirade, Our waitress is in need of a manicure. read more

We had a party of five and wait staff was very attentive and polite. Always on point with all the menu selections and specials. Drinks were cold, and delicious. All the food items came out hot and full of flavor. For appetizer we had the cheesesteak eggrolls, fried pickles, and mozzarella sticks. The salmon, alfredo, and NY Strip were all cooked to perfect temperature and all 5 meals came out pipping hot which doesn't seem to happen in a lot of restaurants anymore. The view is amazing as well, you have a full panoramic view of the bay and the ocean, while overlooking Brigantine beaches and Atlantic City as you eat dinner. The venue seems to have turned around this past year. I highly recommend it if you are staying at the hotel in Atlantic City. read more

While I love the flagship and have been coming here to use timeshare since the mid 90's, I am still not the biggest fan of this restaurant. It has had some upgrades such as having a pizza Hut on site now that you can order from, to your room. It is quite convienent to have on site for snacks and is reasonably priced. The view of the ocean and brigatine beach are also fabulous. Sadly I do not like the breakfast buffet. I was there with a group of 5 this weekend staying over and we had the buffet brunch this morning. The service was great, but the food was sub par at best. The made to.order omelets were not good and they didn't even have ham! Who doesn't have ham for omelets? Mine was overcooked and lacked flavor. My friends all looked alot better then mine. The grits were very watery and bland. The Danish were just gross, no flavor and dry. The breakfast potatoes were okay, I'm pretty sure they were frozen though. And the eggs were definitely powdered eggs. There was a decent selection but just not for me. Like I said good for snacks, and used to be good for dinner but it's been a while since I had that there. read more

Went for breakfast the weekend of 3/12/16 a got the breakfast buffet. After being seated we ask for pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Was told the pineapple juice was hot and was given a glass of ice. Go to get our food. My friend went for the omelet and I decided to get food from the regular buffet. The eggs were disgusting! They looked like yellow bread pudding and could literally be sliced and was so congealed, you could spoon a 4x4 inch square out of the pan! The sausage and bacon were decent but the potatoes were so dry and unflavorful, ketchup couldn't even help. The grits were average. The French toast was cold. The wait was long for a refill of drinks. All of this for a whopping $16.00 each!! Now I can have steak and eggs at golden corral for less than $10!! Waited way too long for food. Views were gorgeous, but hard to appreciate as the level of aggravation rises. Can't tell you how the food is, because it still hasn't come, and we've been here almost an hour and a half. The restaurant was closed for our first 2 days here, so why they can't get their act together by today is beyond me. Post-"dinner": never happened. Computers went down. Our waitress, Allison, was wonderful and managed to locate our toddler's meal, but alas, ours never got made, and so we leave here starving and angry. Nicole, the manager, should have made the rounds to each table to apologize and do something to improve people's moods before they had to leave the restaurant aggravated. Instead, poor Allison had to take the heat and break the news to everyone that there were problems going on that were beyond her control and, to me, above her pay-grade.
