I give Blue Water a 4 star rating and my ability to order a cohesive meal 2 stars. Absolutely delicious calamari. Lightly breaded and the dipping sauce was really tasty. I followed that up with a fried oyster poboy which is redundant after ordering said appetizer. Oh well.. my wife's grilled chicken panini was stellar. Serious portion and so fresh !!! My boyfriend and I picked up food from here earlier this month and let me tell you, we L O V E D what we got! ORDERING AND PICKING UP: Although there was plenty of tables outside, we decided to order pickup since I'm personally not comfortable with outdoor dining yet. The process of ordering the food from their website was simple, easy, and flawless! Also, our food was ready even before the suggested pickup time! When you arrive to the restaurant, you follow the signs for online pickup and get your food from the cash register area. Note: All utensils are not wrapped in individual plastic, but wrapped inside of a napkin. FOOD: We got the Fried Calamari and Absolut Seafood! Fried Calamari - They were SOOOOO INCREDIBLY fresh! I haven't had such fresh calamari in forever! The breading was perfectly crunchy, no soggy. Also it came with this delicious red pepper aioli instead of your traditional marinara sauce (which I really really appreciated.) Absolut Seafood- This dish is a SHOWSTOPPER. It is massive. My boyfriend and I shared this dish and we still weren't able to completely finish it. The vodka sauce is delightful and pairs along with the penne and seafood perfectly. It came with a huge ammount of shrimp, crab meat, and scallops. At our recent visit we were sad to discover that the crab nachos are off the menu, replaced with the less interesting blackened shrimp nachos. We skipped that. I did try their seafood risotto and have to say it was very good. The rice was properly done and the ingredients were plentiful and delicious. Pricey like all things on LBI, but at least it was money well spent. But please ... bring back the crab nachos. They were a reason to go to BWC. read more

Big fan is correct! Loving the new tent outside and how amazing the staff is with covid. Not to mention how delicious my meal was. We went and ordered over the phone, we picked up our food and were able to eat in the tent. It felt like we were at a restaurant, it almost felt normal. Food is consistently fresh and cooked to order. Crab cake sandwich is mostly lump. The oyster po boy is very taste and the sauce makes the sandwich. Their breakfast is very good as well! Ordered the Absolute pasta, yellow fin tuna, and halibut. All were outstanding: nice portions, tasty, and fresh. The mussels appetizer was huge and tasty. The crab dip was very good with home made chips for dipping. The gelato and peanut butter pie was excellent. Finally, the waitress service was exceptional. I had the eggs Benedict, the Hollandaise sauce was watery and the poached eggs were overdone. My wife had the Garden State omelet. It was delicious and the home fries were very good. When we go to LBI, this is the only place we go to for dinner because it never disappoints. Last night we had the blue claw crab dip for an appetizer and for dinner, I had the summer lobster Cobb salad and my wife had the Cuban shrimp salad. It was like our mouths went on vacation. Surprised to see the rating not north of 4. The three of us came around 6 on Labor Day weekend Saturday and were seated right away and were even able to switch seats out of the sun. I had the lobster salad, husband had the mahi mahi and daughter the special lobster ravioli. All was delicious and served after our calamari appetizer. Liked the BYOB aspect. Friendly staff. When we left there Lots of people waiting enjoying wine and cocktails on the outdoor spot designed for diners waiting for a table. Nice LBI vibe. read more

Five stars to our server Brandon. He was polite, pleasant, and efficient. Minus one star because the bathroom was a mess. We had lunch inside due to the hot day, but outside seating is available. Lots of choices on the menu. I had the crab meat quesadilla which was delicious. Generous with the crab, nicely presented, and bonus points for using fresh Jersey tomatoes My friend had a lobster roll. Again, very generous portion of lobster and the bread looked awesome. This restaurant is one of my favorites on the island. First, if there's a wait they let you sit outside in a comfy area with wine glasses and a bottle opener provided. Makes the time go by so fast. Second, food is OUTSTANDING. Steaks were cooked perfect, fish was so flavorful and large pieces. I recommend the oyster app and the halibut! read more

We came here for lunch on a weekday. The food is good and service is good, the menu is very pricey for sandwiches and fries (just can't justify paying $20 or more for a sandwich and fries). We would like to visit more often, but the prices will keep us away. read more

The Lobster Bisque is crack. It is the best lobster bisque I've ever had. The lobster roll sandwich is as delicious as I remembered from years ago, and the service was great. Even though the outdoor seating faces the Boulevard, I enjoy sitting outside. My only complaint is the iced tea. What disgusting lizard spit is that?! Oh my gosh, it's bad!!! If they'd brew their own iced tea and forego the swamp water in the Coke machine they call tea, they'd have a killer meal! The fries are coated with old bay seasoning and were very fresh. Blue Water does not take reservations so I asked if we could put our name in over the phone and show up at whatever time they told us to arrive to accommodate our special needs child. We happened to be out for the day on LBI, and passed by Blue Water for a bite around dinner time . My family and I enjoyed the appetizer special's recommended by server. We started with crab nachos , fried calamari, and coconut shrimp . All of these choices were amazing and the servings were generous ! The main course was also a hit. I especially recommend the seafood risotto which was filled with seafood and plenty. We hope to be return soon. read more

My wife and I ordered paninis and what we received were over-toasted hoagies. Entirely wrong bread and the filling was mediocre at best. Our waitress said the house salad was "mixed greens" and it was iceberg lettuce. Very disappointing lunch. They need to use the correct terms for food items! We asked if they were out of panini bread and she said no. And we explained these are not paninis. She offered no apology or recompense other than remaking the sandwich. read more

This is one of my all-time favorite places in Beach Haven! You have a beautiful view right on the main strip so you get the sunset if you eat dinner there. The seafood is so fresh. I had one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. It was overflowing with lobster! They make it every 4 hours to keep it fresh. It was very hard to choose from the menu they have a huge selection of seafood pasta dishes specials chicken dishes as well. I really like the staff and it wasn't hard getting a table with it being the week of July 4th. I love how they give you a ton of vegetables and your meals. It's pricey but you get what you pay for! 2020 Update: The food is still good HOWEVER, there were eggshells in the omelette. Both of the omelettes. What's up with that? Waitress was fine but never came back around to refill my coffee. Lobster bisque was soooo good the chowder was really good but we personally prefer other. Can't go wrong with the steamed clams and the picnic platter was refreshing. I got the crabs cakes and subbed in garlic mashed over lobster mashed. All very foot lots of meat. My boyfriend got the cowboy steak special. He enjoyed it as well. The staff is very friendly and works their butts off. The atmosphere is very laid back and clean. We went on a beautiful sunset evening. Wed go back and recommend for sure. Quality is still high. Service is great. Inside and outside seating. Having been a customer for many years, usually ordering the same thing, my most recent in restaurant dining experience found the usual 5 stars in this $$$ seafood to be lacking. What was a crab crab dinner, with two large crabcakes (id usually take one home) with lobster mashed potatoes for $36.95, now there was one crabcake size cut into two and lobster pieces absent from potatoes. Thus nothing to take home! Maybe it was an off day. Maybe it allowed blue water to keep prices the same. Id prefer to pay $39.95 for the dinner and go back to the two crabcakes and lobster mashed. read more
