This is one of those establishments you walk in and out of thinking, "yup, I'm coming back here again". I loved this place so much I came back here twice on my trip. To start off, got a drink from the bartender, had two tenders- Isreal and Rene. Both were amazing to get drinks from and both made them equally memorable. Rene owns the establishment and was so sweet and offered amazing service. The quesadillas were SMACK, Jesus damn so good, in fact, I'm DEFINITELY coming back for more. The food is very good and so is dessert. Great prices for Happy Hour drinks during week. My only complaint is the AC.....either it is not working very well or not sufficient for that space especially on hot and humid evenings like last night. A blend of Mexican and Peruvian foods. The menu was extensive! I was super indecisive so I went with steak dm eggs and my friend got desayuno barzola. That cheese bolon was so good. I wish I had gotten that for myself. I also ordered a salad with grilled chicken to go but I would absolutely come back here to try all variations of the bolon. So delicious! The waitress was kind. What a nice find in the College Point, Queens area. This Mexican restaurant is serving fresh delicious food to patrons. The place has themed decor, TV panels, music and a small bar. The owner was there when we arrived. He was very friendly welcoming and eager to showcase his food, drink options and place. The restaurant has both indoor seating as well as a nicely sized outdoor space. We tried a frozen margarita and red sangria they were both delicious. I tried the tacos; they were also very good. After walking by Blue Tijuana many times I finally decided to try them out. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent. I ordered the Blue Combo. It had a beef burrito , chicken enchiladas and a ground beef taco. The food was delicious, very fresh and it came with a side of yellow rice and refried beans. Went to Blue Tijuana tonight for my granddaughters birthday. The restaurant is under new ownership and they are outstanding. The food was great, portion size was big, I had the California chicken burrito which was huge. Comes with rice and beans. It was delicious. The fish Taco, steak fajita and skirt steak dinner were also delicious. They offer tortilla chips and salsa to start at the table. The restaurant is clean, the bathrooms were very clean and the overall ambiance was great. When they were told it was my granddaughters birthday, they brought her desert out with a flaming sparkle and over the loud speaker had a pre-recorded song singing happy birthday. It was over and above. So great Now about the owners, it is owned by a husband and wife. Who just took over in July 2023. They were both so pleasant , and accommodating. They came to our table to talk to us and were very charming and down to earth. The husband Renee asked our names and was very genuine. I do enjoy this place if I am in the mood for some margaritas and a quick bite. However, I find them a bit expensive and they have crazy credit card charges. The service is always a great, the waiters are always friendly and the ambiance is very pleasant. They do play good music and have a nice seating area in the back of the restaurant where it is nice to sit at during the spring/summer. The food is ok, it's not great but it's not bad. We ordered the chicken fajitas, Tijuana Combo, Enchiladas Suisa and the Guiso Mignon. Each dish was the perfect size and more importantly delicious! The meat was tender in each dish. This restaurant has a good location and good foods, but very bad management. Be careful before you go there, because they robbing customers. I like fajitas of this place and always go there with friends to eat. We never looked at the check in details. Just paid whatever they asked. But last night. I went with a friend, he doesn't wanted eat any thing, so I just asked for mix fajita and a soda. I gave the survey my credit card to charge. He came with a receipt of $36.10. I got surprised that how it can be $36. When asked for breakdown. He gave me a check which shows $1.08 service fee and then $5.62 (20%) gratuity was added automatically. It was very upsetting. I asked the server what's service fee and why 20% gratuity is added for one person? He had no answer. I like to pay tips, but I want write it on my pen. Some restaurants add automatic gratuity when guests are more than four people. But I never seen some thing like this for one person. I'm so upset and will never go to this place again. read more
