I was referred to Bluestar by my real estate agent and decided to give them a try. I did some research, and they seemed like a decent company, but after 26 years in the construction industry, I have never experienced such unprofessional customer service, especially from an inspection company. First, they rescheduled last minute, and not once did anyone call to confirm if I was available or respect my time. Second, they never communicated the price for the inspection beforehand - I only received a price through a calendar invite. Then, the day of the inspection, the inspector (who I believe was the owner) decided, on the spot, to charge me more than what was quoted. Instead of discussing the report, he led the conversation with, "My price is $560. Do you agree with it? Otherwise, I won't discuss the inspection report." This kind of conversation should have happened before the appointment was even scheduled, and a call about any pricing adjustments should have been made in advance. To make matters worse, if you don't agree to his pricing, he will leave without apologizing or honoring the original price. This behavior screams red flag and scammer vibes. I would not recommend Bluestar to anyone. read more

Quality General boiler plate reviews where Jose recommends reviews by others that that relieves him of any type of responsibility for his reviews. Lacks electrical code knowledge and high lites things he doesn't know about causing issues in closing the purchase. Photo documentation says missing shingles where pictures show a possible nail hole in a shingle then sites needs to be reviewed by expert. Notes slight superficial rust on exterior of pipe and we get back $5000 estimate for repairs. Lacked specific examples and used generic terms. This is bad I need to be addressed. read more

Their inspector Colleen Carr she did not check my cemented backyard with the drain if its draining and also the 220 volts outlet she did not if its working, her excuse it takes time and it's blocked, when it is really reachable enough. All of this I found out when we moved in the house. Useless inspection because I thought I'll have peace of mind but end up I shoulder expensive repairs needs to be done. Save yourself the headache! Buying or selling a home, please beware of who is inspecting the home! 48 hours after getting the report we were then told Jose FORGOT to add electrical issues! All toilets and a shower were leaking in the crawl space, and the "wooden deck has damaged wood." 1. The deck is NOT wood 2. After a different home inspection (& termite inspection) there was only 1 toilet leaking and nothing else! Jose did however leave dirty hand prints on the freshly painted walls and vents. He also changed the settings on the pool pump and nearly burned out our new pump motor. When questioned he told the agent that it was not a new motor, making the sellers to look like liars. The sellers then had to get the owner of the pool company to show proof that the motor had indeed been replaced! His only correct statement "I'm not a pool guy." Indeed Jose, indeed! read more
