We have had our air conditioner serviced by Blue Star Air for a few years now. We had to replace our original air conditioner after having it since the original build, nearly 13 years. After receiving several quotes from other air conditioning unit providers, we went with Blue Star Air and ordered a new unit from them. Sanjay worked with us in selecting the right unit for our home, and gave us a maintenance schedule to have our unit serviced once a year to avoid it malfunctioning due to low fluid levels, or dirty lines. Today our unit was due for a routine maintenance, and John came out to inspect and service our unit. John let us know we were down a few pounds of coolant in our unit, and filled it up to standard. He inspected our unit upstairs and outside, and assured us all was looking good. He said it is good that we stay on top of our maintenance service, as the fluids we were low on will eventually cause the unit to malfunction. We called this company when our AC was not cooling and had issues with them keeping an appointment time. They did a fix that we were told was short term until we could get a new unit but the entire system went down in 24 hours. So we asked for an estimate, one to leave the unit in the current location and the other to move it to the garage. We had numerous missed appointments by the owner and when he finally showed up he essentially refused to do any work that involved going into the attic. He told us we would have an estimate for keeping the unit where it was the next day. We have yet to see his estimate. read more

Follow up on my Coil Cleaning. BTW, this is NOT a job you want to try yourself. I scheduled 2 weeks in advance. Then called that morning to confirm. Sanjay returned my phone call immediately and told me Kevin would be arriving shortly. I then received a text when Kevin was in Route. When Kevin arrived, Blue Star not only had agreed to clean the coils, but they infact replaced them with Brand NEW coils! That was a real act of kindness for all the heartache my AC has put me through. Kevin worked relentlessly for over 3 hours replacing the coils, pulling out and cleaning the fan, adding refrigerant, and testing the outdoor unit, checking the thermostat. While the quoted price was a bit higher than other companies on this job, it was WELL worth it! Definately QUALITY over just showing up and skipping over necessary servicing. Today we had our second service appointment from Blue Star Air Conditioning and once again they were excellent in every way. Last time they went above and beyond, so when both of our units started not working properly, we called them immediately. They found the issues quickly and had the replacement parts in the truck. Within a couple of hours, both units were up and running again. Before he left, Reggie, the technician, checked and found a line blockage issue that had nothing to do with the main repair. In just a few minutes he resolved that issue as well and explained how to maintain the lines monthly so they stay open. Blue Star helped replace our central air conditioning unit last year. The air handler was installed in such a position that the drain line is not slanted to allow water to naturally flow out. It broke down a week ago. I called them last Thursday and was being told the earliest they can come is Monday. They never showed up and didn't provide any explanation. They finally came on Tuesday afternoon but wasn't able to do the repair. When I called to ask when they can complete the repair, I was being told they need to check their schedule. Arrived home on a Friday night looking forward to a long holiday weekend to find A/C had stopped working/house was 83 degrees. Called around for repairs, but wasn't having much luck getting someone to come over the holiday weekend... Except for Blue Star A/C. Sanjay and his men came early in the day Saturday and worked at least an hour or so and got our 17 year old system temporarily running. Then they arrived on time early Tuesday morning as promised and installed a much needed new system. We had received other quotes on a prior occasion when the old A/C needed repairs so I felt Blue Star's price was very reasonable for the system we had installed. Another AC company had made me wait for 2 weeks for a Trane part they said I needed. Out of frustration, I finally went to Trane to get their recommendation: Blue Star Air Conditioning. Sanjay called me immediately after I left a message, technician John came over immediately, and my ac unit was working within an hour of his arrival. The part I had been waiting for was not even needed. So Blue Star fixed my ac within 2 hours of my call at a fraction of the cost the other company was planning to charge after 2 weeks of stringing me along and refusing to communicate why the part kept getting delayed.
