    Completed countertop and tiles
    Kevin H.

The team did a great job with installing the countertop and tiles on the 3 sides over two days. The quote was very reasonable, good communication, and worked around my schedule to do the installs.

    Before photo. 1980s bathroom.

Alex and Chris recently renovated our old 1980s bathroom. They were honest and their quote was fair and on par with other contractors. They were very easy to communicate with, and returned my messages very quickly. During the heavy rains, we lost power for an extended period of time. They continued to work with a generator that they supplied. They also offered for us to use this generator for our own personal use. Also, during the heavy rains and wind, a very large tree fell on our house. Alex went up on the roof and patched the roof for us. I will be forever grateful for that. They also returned back to our house to address some questions we had after the project was done. I will be returning back to Alex and Chris for future projects!!!!

What was going on and what was happening if I had any concerns, he addressed them immediately and make sure that they met my expectations. I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

Overall, it was a good experience, and we were very satisfied with the project. Roy Haver was our project manager throughout the renovation. During the early stages, I also had lot of interaction with both Roy and Noa Azarzar regarding the scope of the work, project estimates, and other details. It was a very pleasant experience working with both of them. Noa was very understanding and helpful during the estimation and planning phase. She's one of the big reason we decided to go with Brother Brother. We really appreciated her support. There were some issues and challenges along the way, although nothing major, and they were all addressed and resolved. One thing I especially appreciated about Roy was how responsive and accessible he was. He was always available when we had questions, responded quickly, and consistently gave us the assurance that things would be taken care of. More importantly, he followed through on those promises. He also visited the project frequently and kept us updated on the progress. We sincerely appreciate Roy for being professional, responsive, understanding, and attentive to our needs. He made sure the work was completed to our satisfaction. I also want to thank Marco, the head of the crew, for his hard work and for helping get the job done. Overall, we were very satisfied with the work and would recommend Brother Brother Builder to others looking to have their home renovated.

Really pleased with how everything turned out! From the start, Zion's quote was more detailed than other contractors we talked to, which gave us a lot of confidence that they truly understood the work involved. One thing we really appreciated was how they handled changes along the way. When our requirements shifted, they adapted easily and offered great feedback on ways to simplify our design to save time and money. The team showed up on time each morning, cleaned up before leaving every day, and were always respectful and courteous. They made a point to ask questions and check in to make sure everything was being done to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail showed in the finishing touches, and whenever something wasn't quite right, they were more than willing to fix it. The project finished on schedule and mostly on budget. The final result looks wonderful and the quality is solid (the photos speak for themselves). If you're looking for a reliable team for your remodel, I'd happily recommend Brother & Brother Builders!

Even years later, he's still helpful whenever I need to get in touch with one of his subcontractors for maintenance. Because of that trust, I hired him again last year for a major remodel of my vacation home, and he didn't disappoint me as always. Payman is easily the most responsive contractor I've worked with, he gets back to every email within 24 hours, no matter how complex the issue is. His project management is top-tier. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

In short, we were impressed by the quality of the service and, because we shopped around a bit, found the prices to be reasonable. AE remodeled our old, tired bathroom. Originally, we did not understand that we would be responsible for selecting the materials. But after that sunk in, we did our diligence with the helpful assistance of AE. Jenny was very informative and responsive. She answered our questions, both those that related directly to the bathroom but also those relating more generally to remodeling strategies that arose from our inexperience. What do you think of this material? What do you think about this type of sink in this space? What kind of shower design is best for this concern of mine. Etc. I can't recall an instance where Jenny did not immediately and helpfully respond to email or text. Jenny also proactively made good suggestions. The remodel went well. We really liked the result. We were delayed a bit by the city and permits. But Jenny and her team were always patient and committed. In one instance, the city inspector came back with some surprising feedback. But Jenny and her team with due dedication and versatility adeptly executed on the feedback and made the inspector happy. Anyway, it's been about a year after the remodel. A few small issues came up recently. I contacted Jenny and she sent her team to handle without hesitation. The follow through was very impressive. When I asked how to fix they ignored me. I regret starting this project with them. After this post there is a response from the "business owner" stating they are sorry and then a lengthy set of excuses which equates to a false apology. Bottom line is 1) you scratched up the hardware we gave you 2) we bought all the HW ourselves and asked if we bought the right cartridge. You all said yes. Give the right answer else we waste time. 3) we rejected your attempt to fix the carpet issue because your team had already used a wipe on the carpet and it didn't work. And then you offered to dump vinegar all over to clean it. Of course I'm going to reject that. What other excuses would you like to provide? The quality of workmanship on the bathroom, flooring, windows, skylight, cabinetry, and finish work was very good. The crew was hardworking, skilled, and detail-oriented, and we are very happy with the final results. The project was also completed on or ahead of schedule, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience with the project managers, Amir and Hamid, was less positive. Communication was sometimes unclear, change orders were not always worded or documented clearly, and some issues led to misunderstandings that could have been avoided with better communication. For example, there was confusion over touch-up painting after stucco was patched around the new windows. The scope and pricing could have been communicated more clearly. We also had an issue with the shower glass door installed by a subcontractor, which failed inspection. We expected Aria Build, as the general contractor, to take greater ownership and help coordinate the resolution rather than leaving us to handle it. Overall, we want to give credit to the crew for their hard work and craftsmanship. We are pleased with the finished product, and the timely completion was a definite positive. However, project management, communication, and accountability fell short of our expectations. We knew this was going to be a monumental project, and it certainly was, as it took over 3+ years due to various city and HOA approval delays. Every construction project had its fair share of challenges, delays, and last-minute changes, but we are so pleased with the final outcome and thankful that GV was our partner through it. A few key highlights from our build: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: We unexpectedly ran into numerous challenges and roadblocks during our approval process, but it was the fantastic architectural design that saved us and managed to meet or exceed all of the city requirements. OPEN COMMUNICATION: GV set up a group WhatsApp chat for us that included the owners and every key staff member working on our project. We could utilize it 24/7 for questions, comments and decisions. COORDINATION & SOURCING: We wanted a builder that could handle primary management with all our vendors when it came to delivery timing and especially if there were product issues. GV took the lead in coordinating closely with external suppliers (whether they were recommended by GV or not) to receive, store and install all of the fixtures and finishes. GV never pressured us to use their recommended vendors, although in a few instance, their close relationships helped with not only pricing, but quick follow-ups with any product related issues or replacements. PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT & ONSITE MEETINGS: Huge shout-out to Barry Hahn (our production manager and lead) and the onsite crew (led by Freddie and Fernando) who MET WITH US WEEKLY onsite to provide updates. We always knew what they were working on and if they needed a decision from us, we could come see it for ourselves. We didn't always know the best decision immediately, but the team was patient, explaining and showing us all the options and the factors we should consider. WORKMANSHIP: GV takes pride in doing things right and to the highest quality. One example is when we were going through the home after it was painted and highlighting areas for touch up, our production manager came in over the weekend on his own and identifed even MORE areas than we did. In other words, GV doesn't try to take shortcuts or accept "good-enough" work. No construction project is ever perfect, but GV strives to ensure their workmanship is top-notch. -------------------------------------------------------- Building a brand-new home is always a long journey, but Golden View Renovation proved to be reliable, honest, and skilled professionals who genuinely care about the quality of their work. When we first met with the founder (Tal Shoshan) to discuss our project, he pledged to us that his goal was going to be making sure we were happy and he has LIVED UP TO THAT PROMISE. We highly recommend Tal and his team to anyone looking for a dependable contractor for a major build or renovation in the Bay Area.
