My shower was gurgling & belching horrid things and I was afraid to run any water for fear of some kind of sewage disaster flooding my bathroom. I've used Blue Sky since 2019, and when I called again, they got a crew out within 2 hours. This house has a weird plumbing situation; Kevin & his coworker didn't just jump in; they listened very carefully and were able to research Blue Sky's database to find notes left by that first plumber way back from that 2019 visit. That was key because he used that information to save me a bunch of money. We had to replace one, and repair a second hose spigot, due to water leaking in the stucco-block wall. Scheduling with Tanya and Angela, who are as genuine as they are professional, was a breeze (and a pleasure). Dalton's workmanship (opening up the stucco / re-piping / and re-pairing the opening) was stellar. Also appreciated his setting my expectations and clearly communicating necessary steps involved with why these new pipes were being used, and how long to wait for the stucco repair to cure, before using the new spigot lever. Tyler came back out to finish setting the spigot with Tapcon screws, as Dalton had advised. Between scheduling, repairs, workmanship and follow-up, I think Blue Sky's rates are a good value, given the exceptional quality of everything I experienced. I also have the sense that had there been any issues, this family-owed company puts integrity over reputation and money. While plumbing repairs are not on my bucket list of ideal home improvements, at least I feel assured calling on Blue Sky. Cody showed up early in the 2 hour window quoted, and was able to isolate the problem within minutes. Even though it was in a tricky location, he took his time and made sure the job was done right. He re-used as many of my existing parts as he could to save me some money. When the job was done he charged a fair price and explained what he did and what the warranty on his parts and labor was. When I called them to come fix the leak, I also had a ton of damage on my ceiling. I asked them to replace the water damaged ceiling. They initially agreed then changed their mind. Blue sky plumbing saved our lives yesterday Sunday 2/25. Through a bizarre accident, a wall was crushed and a bathroom was half destroyed with all kinds of broken pipes. I called everyone in the book and the only one that answered promptly and sent a tech quickly was Blue Sky. Unbelievably, Tyler , the tech, was able to effect repairs so that we could have our water on again. Absolute lifesaver. He only took about three hours. When he explained what had to be done i thought it would take all day into the night. He was very knowledgeable and very professional and it was quite a bit less expensive than i had mentally prepared myself for. Really first rate. There is. Although my review is quite tardy, I am remembering to do it now as I will be calling them this morning for service for my own home. This past summer of 2017 my mother was told by two doctors that they believed she had a cancerous tumor. Our family was devastated but prayed and worked to get her in to the best medical teams everywhere. In the middle of the turmoil their refrigerator had some major problem all of a sudden and it was simply one more thing that just felt overwhelming to them. My father went so far as to ask me to simply call a store to send a new refrigerator to them for the next day! I remembered Blue Sky from having used them once before and I told my parents I would call them before they drastically got a new refrigerator. I called, explained how I needed to see if they could come over right away and help. They shifted some things around and went over nearly immediately! They assessed the problem and found it to be rather simple overall, even with an older refrigerator, fixed it all on the spot and didn't want to charge them full price because they saw the pain and stress on my father's face. He insisted on paying them. They told my father that they would be praying for my mother and that they would keep her in their prayers. It still brings tears to my eyes thinking of their kindness. A week afterward the results came back that she had been misdiagnosed and what they thought was a tumor would be reabsorbed into her body. We thanked everyone for praying for her - the prayers of everyone, Blue Sky Plumbing included, meant the world to us. I will NEVER use Blue Sky Plumbing, again. I needed the bath tub fixture to be converted from two knobs to a single knob. I explained my situation, when I personally stopped by their office on my way home from work. The staff had no clue to provide a quote, they called one of the guys that was on the road to get a quote over the phone, without even going to the house to assess the task. The guy on the phone quoted $900! I asked why so much and the lady said that they have to go to the back wall and cut the dry wall to get to the plumbing. I told them that the bath/tub had been serviced before and all they have to do is unscrew the screws, no drywall had to be cut. They arrived on the scheduled day and once again, I told the plumber Tyler that he DID NOT have to cut a whole, just unscrew the screws to get to the plumbing. It only took him about 2 minutes, five minutes max. There was another guy with him, basically standing around and waiting for Tyler to tell him what to do. It took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete the job. I was charged $895! I was shocked! I asked again why so much, he said that this is the basic charge since they have to cut the wall behind the back wall. Again, I told him, "But you DID NOT cut a whole, you unscrewed the screws that is holding the drywall and you did not have to reset the drywall, just screw it back!" Additionally, in their quote/invoice, they did not provide Labor & Parts breakdown. I looked up the fixture that was installed and it is a Moen, which cost no more than $75! So they ROBBED me over $400! I called around to other plumbers and was quoted that that job would have cost around $450, Labor and Parts. I asked again what is the labor cost and Tyler said they charge $125 per hour! I said well that would have been $375 and parts. He responded that is $125 per person. I was flabbergasted, so they charge $250 an hour for one person that just stands there waiting to be told what to do! NEVER AGAIN! I will NEVER USE BLUE SKY PLUMBING THEY ROB YOU OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR A JOB THAT SHOULD COST $450! All he had to do was unscrew the screws and for that they charged me $895! read more
