We called and since it wasn't an emergency, set up an appointment for a couple days later. Tom arrived when he said he would. He is friendly and easy to talk to. This is a 60-year old house, and when I had started to take the handles apart, I didn't like what I saw, and Tom assured me it was just as well I hadn't tried to fix it myself. Tom does top quality work and stands behind it. He has saved us a little money where he could, such as suggesting once that I dig a small trench to expose a drain pipe. Why pay more for it at a service hourly rate? And when our kitchen faucet needed to be replaced, he happened to have one from another job so we didn't have to buy a new one. I always prefer calling small business owners for service rather than large companies or chains, especially when they offer better service than some of the cowboys out there, who may or may not show up. Tom delivers that better service and you get the guy, so he knows the history of your repairs.

Dalton's workmanship (opening up the stucco / re-piping / and re-pairing the opening) was stellar. Also appreciated his setting my expectations and clearly communicating necessary steps involved with why these new pipes were being used, and how long to wait for the stucco repair to cure, before using the new spigot lever. Tyler came back out to finish setting the spigot with Tapcon screws, as Dalton had advised. Between scheduling, repairs, workmanship and follow-up, I think Blue Sky's rates are a good value, given the exceptional quality of everything I experienced. I also have the sense that had there been any issues, this family-owed company puts integrity over reputation and money. While plumbing repairs are not on my bucket list of ideal home improvements, at least I feel assured calling on Blue Sky. Initially, the technician assumed the shower was clogged, but later realized it was a deeper issue. He said he needed to remove the toilet to snake the sewer line, and claimed the problem was resolved. However, just 4-5 hours later, sewage began backing up into the shower, and both toilets stopped flushing entirely. I contacted him that evening, asking for urgent help--no response. I called and texted again the next morning, and only then did he reply to say he was on vacation. He offered no backup plan or referral, leaving me to find another plumber to fix the mess. To make matters worse, he charged me $480 for snaking the shower and toilet--an excessive price for about 1 hour's work, given the poor outcome and lack of follow-up.
