Then stand back and enjoy firing a power spray of soap or water all over your dirty car, then washing it off again! It's surprisingly satisfying, you can focus on whatever the dirtiest areas are, and you can make sure you get into all the little nooks and crannies that a drive-through automated wash always misses. You get about 1 minute per $1 - a slight extra bonus time if you put in a toonie. So so far this has worked out much cheaper for me than your typical gas station automated car wash. Plus! the interior passageway has been decorated with lots of lovely murals, perfect for those car selfies and instagram pics of your shiny clean vehicle!

The only flaw is the driveway to the bays. You have to cut into the gas station stalls when lining up. I recommend not coming here after a rain storm or snow storm or on the weekends. Very old and failing, and ailing car wash. Should be inspected by the county…read more Soap remains in water when on rinse, vacuums barely work (no suction), $1 a minute and several minutes are spent waiting for door to go up, driving in and walking in to pay. I have tried to give my business to this local car wash for last 5 years, even though vehicles have NEVER seemed properly clean, still film on vehicle once home, water does not seem clean, everything is in disrepair and patched together to try to keep working, stalls do not all have functioning equipment and the bottom line is: very poor water quality and vehicle does not come clean. You get home and look at your vehicle and say I need to wash my vehicle. Found out today that they apparently charge to use their poor quality vacuum, but their vacuums do not work! Everything is old and decrepit. I used to quickly blow my windows off and do a quick (poor quality) vacuum of my driver's floor after I paid because the quality of their blower and vacuum is so poor who would ever think there was a charge and many car washes these things are complimentary. Owner walked up to me today for the first time in 5 years and told me they "cannot afford for me or anyone to blow their veh off or vacuum after payment is made". I told him that I don't pay after because the blower barely works and their vacuums don't suck up anything! I said to charge is not fair. I told him that their water has soap in it on the rinse cycle, their blowers don't work and their vacuums are useless. Place is falling apart. He shrugged. I said that I come here only to support a local neighborhood car wash (Nottingham) and I said the place is in complete disrepair and is almost a scam as vehicles do not come clean. He knows I bring all 3 of my vehs to his business at least once a week. Still he tells me their prices are skyrocketing and they cant have anyone doing anything after paying. I said to him that air and vacuum are free at most places and they work amazing. He shrugged and suggested I use the new car wash near Costco. I said back to him, the one where the water is clean and the equipment works and it cost nothing to vacuum? He nodded. I said, "Gladly". Whenever I have told them something seems to not be working, they have always told me to go to another stall and never fixed anything. When you run a ship shod business and yet nickel and dime your loyal customers they will go elsewhere and will write a review. If his business was inspected by Strathcona County as to whether the customer was getting what we paid for, they would fail. I don't like being nickeled and dimed when your product is faulty and unreliable. Shame on you. I will happily go elsewhere. Your business is an eye sore in the community. You don't paint, mow, pull weeds, pave or uplift the neighborhood. You only care about how much money you can make vs how little you can put into your business. I thought you were better than this. YOUR WATER IS NOT CLEAN AND THE VEHICLES DO NOT COME CLEAN.

Today I decided to go, and upon parking in the bay, was approached by 2 employees who offered to wash my car for training purposes. I was surprised at first but then obliged (free car wash- hello!). The older gentlemen training a younger teenager was excellent, kind and did a fantastic job. While he was explaining the different rinses etc. someone need help with the ATM machine, so they paused their work, which I was totally fine with and went to help the customer. It was not very busy at all, as I was the only vehicle in one of the bays, and only a couple in the 2nd one. Anyways, they returned to finish my vehicle and then another man appeared at the other end and pointed to the trainee and say "You! You work here??" and motioned for him to come over. He then started with say "Do you KNOW who I AM??!" ( I quickly learned that he was the owner) and he proceeded to VERY loud and angrily reprimand both employees where I could see and hear. It was honestly super uncomfortable. I just wanted to rinse off my vehicle and leave to go pick up my daughter. After that, they returned looking quite dejected. They finished the job and refused any money I tried to offer them. I said thank you and told them that the other guy was a dick. Upon leaving my review on their FB page, I quickly learned that there is an ENTIRE group dedicated to people who would like to see this owner (of both the Spruce and Stony) locations put out of business because of this very reason. Apparently this is normal behaviour for him, and I just cannot support a business where employees are treated in this way. Why even bother having offices if you're going to humiliate people like that? Anyways, thank you for the free carwash and thank you employees for your incredible service- only sorry you have to take your orders from a hot head like him!

So we took our brand new vehicle to JR's for 3 m Tape, Undercoating, and Ceramic Coating. The results are beautiful! The vehicle doesn't get dirty as easily in slush, it's like a teflon pan where things slide off. The tape was done really well as for the undercoating, it SEEMS great, but time will tell with this. But regardless there is a good warranty and they will check it and touch it up if it needs anything done. As for the price, we recieved in writing and on our receipt, it was exact. The price was far better than any of the other 4 shops quoted my husband by hundreds of $s. They needed to keep the vehicle for 2 days so each process dried properly and when we picked it up we could not be more pleased. JR walked us around the vehicle, explained how to care for it, gave us a bottle of Graphine to keep up the ceramic coating every two months, (the lady at reception explained exactly how to use it) and they asked us to come back every 1.5 to 2 years to check on the undercoating in case it requires a touch up and to keep the warranty in good standing. We feel the warranties are really good on these processes too. It has been about a month and we feel the quality of work done is really great and the processes look amazing with the vehicle looking really shiny and very clean! Thank you JR for doing such a great job. We appreciate your care and attention to detail. We certainly recommend JR's Auto Detailing in the West End and are happy to give them a 5 star rating.
