The service here was great! Staff were very friendly and kind, and the food was amazing! It was very quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the pier, view and people. The pizza and calamari was a hit! I recommend this to anybody who wants to skip the touristy resort food and find the good local food. read more

Food was great. We shared conk fritters across the family. Cary and I had their seafood tacos. Both were great. The atmosphere was super on their open air seating area. Nice place. Sorta basic white that you see around the island. It's on the beach so it's both special and expensive. But it's the Bahamas and almost everything is expensive. Service was S L O W... very much so... we waited a long time for our drinks, so long that we were checking at the bar to see if someone forgot them. That may have happened. Food was equally slow. Not just Caribbean slow maybe twice as slow. And the place was not crowded at all. read more

Blue Sail - Their logo on the wall - Barbeque Near Me - Nassau, New York

This is a beautiful restaurant. The decor is all white and blue- it reminded me of Greece. The view is amazing! This is why you come here. Service was friendly and leisurely so don't come if you're in a rush. Island time! I had sushi which was tasty and presented nicely. I had a great Blue Sail cocktail as well. This was perfect for a nice lunch in the Bahamas! read more

Came here for the views! We got here around 5:30pm on a Saturday at the end of April and got seated right away. The menu is a mix of American, Bahamian, and Japanese (they have sushi). We got BBQ ribs with Bahamian style peas & rice and coconut shrimp. The food was okay - nothing super outstanding but it's the views! Just a note that the Bahamian style peas & rice is on the chewy side (harder compared to Asian rice) but the seasoning is pretty interesting! The view is absolutely stunning! There's a back door where you can walk down to the beach - and there's a hidden hammock down there as well! It's right across the street from Sandyport resort hotel! Or if you are staying at Sandyport resort hotel, take the back exit of the hotel to go directly to the back entrance of the restaurant to save you some walking! read more

Right on the beach. Beautiful view. Thin crust pizzas really good! The lentil vegan burger was delicious too. Prices are not too steep like the other ones in the area. Service was spot on. Goombay Smash was meh. But I guess you get what you pay for! Overall, great lunch option on the beach. read more

The jerk wings were absolutely delicious and so saucy and flavorful, I still think about them! The peas and rice were also amazing, easily some of the best I've had. Sitting by the water made the whole experience even better, and the staff was super kind and accommodating. The food did take a little while to come out, but honestly everything was so good it was worth the wait. Overall an amazing experience and would definitely recommend! read more

Do not pass on this one! Great place with good food. Worth stopping by. Have fun in Nassau!

Great pizza right on the beach in cable beach 5 minutes drive from bahamar people are nice and the drinks is great

Mixed emotions here.. we will start with service, it was awful. Waited 30 mins for someone to even acknowledge we were seated and that was only after telling 2 different people we still had not even been asked for a drink order nevermind anything else... we also were basically pushed out (again after spending an extra 30 waiting for drink/app order to be taken)... they walked over and ask which exit we were using and then told us they were closing.. awful service experience on an island where hospitality is everything. (The bus staff was actually way more friendly and helpful then waitstaff) The restaurant itself was bright and beautiful, even beautiful night views and sounds.. Food. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked as we asked and was incredibly flavorful. Great food experience! Hard to rate when the food was so good but the service was so bad.. read more

We were in the Bahamas for a volunteer work assignment and after the assignment my wife and I wanted to enjoy some time together. We decided to try Blue Sail and we were very excited to try it primarily because of the location with great ocean views and ambiance but also hopeful the quality of the food would meet a high standard. We were seated in a nice spot right on the deck with a great view and the weather was beautiful that evening too. But the service was not exceptional, actually average. It seemed to be that way at many of the places we visited on the island, so we weren't surprised by that. However the food was somewhat disappointing. We ordered 2 appetizers, the Mediterranean plate which was very good and the grouper tacos, also good. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi with lentils, the lentils were dry and overcooked and just not seasoned well. I ordered the Mahi Mahi burger with fries and a side of cole slaw. The sandwich was decent and the tarter sauce was nothing special. The French fries were from a bag and similar to fries that one would get at a bar. I had asked for ketchup for those fries and was expecting a small dish with ketchup in it, however, I was given 3 packets of fast food style ketchup....I'm like, WHAT!?!?! What a joke, we dropped $120 on our dinner and walked away saying to ourselves that we wouldn't ever go back to that place. It's a great place for views but we didn't find the food very memorable. read more

Shakira at the bar is the absolute best and the food is phenomenal!!! Great location on the beach!

We came for dinner with a group of 11. The location is indeed scenic overlooking the water, they take reservations and they worked with us on several changes as we added additional members to our group. We had a variety of different dishes and the general consensus is that the pizza was the thing to order. They could not do separate checks and they don't take American Express. read more

Blue Sail - a man and a woman sitting at a table - Barbeque Near Me - Nassau, New York

We loved the pace - I cannot stand it when we have appetizers, salad, and entree on the table all at once! This was done so well and we loved the fact that we were allowed to savor each course. It was a dining event - not just a meal. We were a party of 8. Our grandson wants to be a chef and he was given the royal treatment by Chef Charlie. I cannot say how wonderful the staff and service were - just incredible! Food was fabulous - we had the gamut - drinks, calamari, sushi, salads, fish, pizza, pasta, conch! It was a taste feast. We will never, ever forget Chef Charlie and his kindness to our Brooks! Thank you, Chef!! read more

Restaurant had lovely blue and white decor but best of all was the fabulous view! We had a party of nine and service was prompt and polite. Food was served in a timely manner, which we have struggled with our whole vacation with such a large group. It was refreshing! My husband had salmon florentine which was amazing. Fish was cooked to a perfect moistness. My curry shrimp was deceptively filling with wonderful flavor. Both the kids' pasta and pizza were a hit. We recommend this place highly. And make sure to take a stroll out to the boardwalk and enjoy the view! read more

Terrible food. They were out of everything. Service was super slow. They don't care because gratuity is already added. Cute place by the beach. Go for drinks. Stay away from anything else. read more

This is a strong 3 rating, inching into 4. Service is slow but it's the Bahamas. Relax and enjoy the view out front. Had the sushi rolls avocado and asparagus sushi rolls. Nicely done but too small for what you are paying. Also had the Lentil burger and it was huge. Nicely done. Pizzas looked good but didn't try. Hamburgers looked the best so would recommend getting if it's your jam. Drinks - stay with the beer. Margaritas were way too sweet and made with rock gut tequila. Wine is ok but warm from sitting out too long. Overall, I would go back for a beer and the burgers & pizza. read more

Very good food. We both had the pizza and it was done very well. View is unbeatable. Service is lacking, but this is the Bahamas, so that is to be expected. read more

Location is perfect, we dined outside on the deck area overlooking the beach. Menu offerings are diverse with both seafood and land options. Service however lacked, we waited over 90min for our appetizer, and were served cold food and incorrect order. Ultimately, to be dismissed by our waiter and told the restaurant was closing and we needed to wrap it up, even though our food was just served. Won't bother returning after the lack of service provided read more

Great food. The Conch Fritters are amazing. The bartender, Shakira, she is fantastic. She is DEFINITELY a master mixologist. Everyone is so friendly. It is such a peaceful spot for having a meal. I also had their pizza. Very skeptical. GREAT GREAT FLAVOR. Thin crust. 10. ABSOLUTELY without a doubt recommend. read more

Return visit and was super happy to find the sushi as good as it was. Eat local, right? Anyway, very fresh and tasty. Service was island style and just fine for lovely dinner at combat looking at blue ocean waters. Great hand shaken daiquiris. Mini tacos are popular with seat mates at bar. Take in the view. Relax and enjoy. read more

Setting was beautiful but service and food was HORRIBLE. Including management!! NOT WORTH IT

A nice view but long wait for food and very small portions go for lunch and sit on the beach because that is what you are paying for not worth a over priced pizza that a child would still be hungry after eating it they want you to order expensive wine and sushi because no matter the service . good or not the gratitude is added so the staff has nothing to lose with subpar service read more

Second place in Nassau...service was not very good. It took us 15 minutes to put in a drink order. The calamari was rubbery and surprisingly, didnt taste fresh. Great view, food and service! A large menu with lots of variety. We had spicy tuna as an app, lentil, arugula and tofu salad and curry chicken. All was delicious. My husband had a Rumdum and it does what's promised! We shared a nice French Chardonnay and Tiramisu for dessert read more

This place took us a long time when we got there. We sat at our table for about 25 minutes and then we ordered appetizers. They came 1 hour later and were cold. A minute later they took our order and then it took about 1 hour again. The food was cold again like the appetizers. read more

View is spectacular, food was very good but the service left a lot to be desired. However the view and food will make me return.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere on the ocean. The service was good by Bahamian standards, and the staff was friendly. We ordered lobster mac and cheese, calamari, watermelon feta balsamic and arugula, kids tomato pasta, and a pepperoni pizza. Each dish was flavorful and well made; I sampled all of them. The drinks were delicious and strong. The night we went, there were 5 servers taking care of approximately 70 patrons, but our food was still delivered relatively quickly ( about 15 minutes). I initially was going to pay with my credit card, but since they were so busy, I chose to use cash instead to expedite the process. In my experience, the service was typical of what I received in other locations in the Bahamas. That being said, service is typically slightly less attentive than what you receive in most US restaurants. Also, please be aware that water is not free at restaurants in the Bahamas read more

Awful service. Food was great when it arrived finally. Our drink order was messed up, the appetizers took an hour and a half and arrived five minutes before the main order. read more

Location and view were spectacular. Service insanely slow. Server very dismissive. Buser did a great job however. Food was ok.

The location is beautiful, the service however was absolutely atrocious and this was bar none the worst sushi I have ever had (and that's saying a lot). Conveyor belt sushi is far better than this. I honestly didn't know it was even possible to screw up miso soup, but somehow they succeeded at it. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place for a nice dinner. read more
