This is a local family-owned business that has been around for almost 50 years. They gave me an estimate for repair, which justified buying a new unit. I really appreciated their honesty and helpfulness, especially since they are not in the new appliance sales business. However, I was left to move my own, old fridge with my wife downstairs, after you told me "no problem sir, we will move it downstairs". I had to plead with you to actually deliver my new fridge after you confirmed "you make deliveries to our lake location all the time". When you arrived, your crew had nothing but can't do comments vs. can do comments based off the customer commitment you made... Further, after your delivery team did finally deliver and set-up the fridge, I asked them before they left why the water dispenser wasn't working. Their response was that it probably will start once the unit gets cold. I was skeptical on that response as it seemed to be a response just to leave and not address the issue. After waiting a full day for water to come out of the new fridge, nothing.... So, my wife and I pulled the fridge from its spot only to find the new reinforced braided tubing they installed to be completely kinked off by the installers and leaking. I unhooked it and did the job correctly, but now I have a kinked braided tube line that is suspect to kinking and leaking in the future because of inadequate installation. Upon looking over the fridge further, we noticed your installers didn't remove all the protective plastic wrap on a majority of the fridge. So we did that job for them as well. I committed to tipping your installers, and I did very hesitantly, because that's what commitments are - A promise you simply keep.

I received SIX reminders of date and time of the technician appointment, 4 texts and 2 emails. The technician/owner did not come on time, or 10 minutes or 20 minutes late. The many reminders named 1 time rather than a window of time so I hoped the man was not in a wreck. I looked up his facebook account and he was POSTING PICTURES OF HIS LUNCH DURING MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT! I called the office number and spoke with a stat of the art AI voice. I texted the Appliance Whispered and told him that an hour past his scheduled arrival, I had to leave; don't come to my home. He showed up around 2 hours late and my husband said he acted very confused. Not just poor service, NO service from The Appliance Whisperer.

This was my first time using this repair service (through a home warranty claim), and I was very…read morepleased that they had an initial inspection scheduled within a few days of making the claim. Before leaving, the technician was great about explaining what was OK and what would need replaced, which I appreciated. Due to it being a home warranty claim, there was a delay in the repair time-frame as they needed to write a report to the warranty company before they could start work. However, by the next week I had a scheduled appointment which was sooner than I expected with having to go through home warranty red-tape. The technician that came out was very polite, and did a very professional job removing the old equipment and installing the new. He also left the area clean after he was done. Another big plus was the courteousness of the office administrator that was interfacing me via phone to set the appointments. I probably took up way too much of her time asking questions on how the home warranty process worked, but she was more than happy to help answer any questions I had. Overall great experience with this company's service, and I will definitely keep them in mind for any future repairs.
