Great activity for social distancing & mask are required. $35 per person and you can have between 2-7 throwers. Knife-throwing is an additional $10 if you want to try that. Booking our reservation online was quick and easy. We end up needing to push our time back and VA axe was able to accommodate with no issues. The staff members were friendly and helpful throughout our whole time there. The drinks and snacks are self service. Safe to say that we will be back again soon! We really enjoyed ourselves and the friendly competition it brought out in us all. Recommendations: closed toed shoes, comfy clothing. He threw axes tonight, while I enjoyed a cold one. Owner Jeff and his staff are very welcoming. This boosted his confidence, which has been an ongoing project. Tonight he got more bullseyes during his hour session. Nice employees and customers. It was good to catch the Eclectic Company band. Also the pretzels with beer cheese are huge and quite tasty. My son enjoyed the flat bread pizza. He wouldn't share a slice with me, but he's a growing leviathan. This restaurant supports military members and first responders. I'd never thrown axes before but had some time to burn before dinner so gave it a try. You sign up for different increments of time; I got 30 minutes. Several lanes are available. Think of it like a short bowling alley - but with axes. As it was my first time I received a lot of mentorship. Turns out I was throwing too hard, so the axe handle kept hitting first. But when I loosened up I was hitting near the bullseye fairly consistently. Obviously - sharp weapons and alcohol go together, so there is bar stacked with craft beer. Noshes are also available although I didn't try that. My favorite setting was the one where you throw against projections of zombie heads. After I found that one, I basically stopped looking at other options...because why would you? So there you have it; sharp weapons, alcohol, and training for the Zombie Apocalypse, all wrapped into one!
