They do have snacks and food available through a partnership with your pie app. Also if you reserve lanes, make sure you arrive 15 minutes before hand to sign a waiver and get paired with axes that meet your desires. We had the most amazing time with you guys! We had a large party of 10 and they were able to not only move our reservation two times but get us a great lane where we were able to work with the children so that everybody got to participate. I was super happy that they were willing to turn down the music as we had someone in our party who couldn't tolerate it due to a medical condition. All in all it was awesome! Most of all I was able to do something new and fun in honor of two amazing people who passed a year ago, father and son, in an awful accident. My girlfriend was down from NY for the week and had been wanting to try axe throwing for months. We drove about an hour (from Charlottesville) after reserving a lane online earlier in the day. There was a decent amount of people, very helpful staff (to make sure we knew how to NOT injure ourselves, I imagine) While it still seems a bit foolhardy to me, we each had a couple of beers/drinks in a can that we hadn't tried before and some bar food that was less than spectacular. Being a restaurant manager myself I keep an open mind, and eye, when I visit other establishments, and I will only say that with a little bit of knowledge from the right people, they could easily improve business by investing in a good cook and minimal equipment. The axe throwing itself wasn't bad. The place is clean, spacious, and has a nice aesthetic. It would've been better if the employees would've left us alone. My girlfriends and I went to have a night out without being bothered but the two employees were constantly in our space. This was our first time trying this, and those two were really discouraging even when we hit the target. "You're doing it wrong," "you only got it because it's the child axe," etc. We understand some funny teasing but they were just annoying. We were the only ones in left in there, so they were constantly around us. To make things more uncomfortable, he kept calling one of our friends "his favorite." He repeated it so many times. The staff was awesome! Spent the weekend in Massanutten Resort and came to this place. First time axe throwing. They instructed us on how to throw and have pointers. They didn't have food at the actual place but they had a suggestion where we could order and get it delivered. Clean and nice space. Would definitely visit again. read more

He showed us how to throw the axes as we had never done this before. He also stood close by, observed us and made recommendations on how to improve. This place was great and very accommodating. The group of us (4) had not really had any experience in throwing axes. They stepped right up and taught us what to do. It's like darts on steroids. By the end of our hour session, they even started teaching us trick shots. Place was clean and friendly. Highly suggest trying it out. read more

This place is so much fun! Kyle and Randall were great teachers and made sure we had a nice time, they even taught us some games! The 1 hour time slot was perfect for just two people, but I can definitely see myself coming with a larger group of people (5 or 6) and wanting to do it for 2 hours. They worked with us on coming in a little early one morning and we really appreciated it! We'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends. read more
