I've been to five different dentist offices here in Edmonton, each one had its pros and cons but…read moreuniversity Dental was by far the best. Each time I have been the staff have been very friendly and kind. They answer all the questions I have about the process they will be doing on my teeth. The location is in a great spot and the building is very clean and kept proper. The only complaint I would have is that I had to sit for quite awhile in the waiting room before my apointment. Dr Fedoretz was very kind though and made great conversation while I was getting my dental work done. Overall super happy with university dental. I will continue to go here and get my teeth work done

She organized all of my insurance coverage, even calling them to get more information. I thought I had just got her on a good day. Nope! When I went in for my appt she was there and was just as awesome as well as all the wonderful ladies behind the desk. Not to mention they have the newest and coolest massage chair I've ever been in! So that gives them a 5 start just for that! Once all the insurance was cleared up and I went in for my appt it continued to be extremely enjoyable and fun. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He makes sure you understands everything. Not only is the doctor so smart and great but Lori my hygenist was equally as amazing. I have bad anxiety about pain and they did absolutely everything I could have asked for to keep the experience as enjoyable as possible. This is absolutely my neq dental office from now on and my husband and I will also be taking out children there because it is just that great!! So happy I found them!

His receptionist, Anu, also is a very hard-working person helping me to solve many issues. Another dentist, from another location, asked me $10,000 to solve a problem. Update.. clinic today tried to reach out to me. They tried talking to me after I left the review…read more STAY AWAY.. Well, here is my latest experience with this clinic. About three weeks ago, I called the office to make an appointment for my son with the new dentist who took over Dr. Tan's patients. My son was experiencing tooth pain, so I specifically asked that his tooth be examined. He was seen and was told that he needed a root canal. An appointment was made for approximately five days later. He was sent home without antibiotics or any other treatment to address the pain and inflammation before the procedure. Last week, my son went back for the root canal. They attempted to freeze the area with three injections, but the freezing was not working properly. At that point, I have serious questions about why the procedure continued rather than stopping and reassessing the situation. My son unfortunately did not speak up enough about how much pain he was experiencing, and they continued working on his tooth for approximately two hours. He was in a significant amount of pain during the procedure. After two hours, he was told to come back the following Thursday to finish the root canal. Before he left, he was also told that he might need to see a specialist. This is where I have even more questions. If the dentist was not comfortable completing the root canal or believed a specialist might be necessary, why wasn't that determination made before putting my son through two hours of a very painful procedure? My son came home swollen, in pain and extremely sore, and remained that way for several days. I contacted the clinic because I had questions and concerns about what happened. I spoke with the dental assistant, but I did not receive the answers or explanation I was looking for. I am extremely unhappy with how this situation was handled and, at this point, I would not feel comfortable bringing my son back to this clinic. On Monday, I requested that my son's records and X-rays be sent to another dentist because there was no way he was returning to this clinic. Later that same day, my son received a call from a specialist saying that Southgate Dental had referred him because they were not comfortable continuing to work on his tooth. If that was the case, why wasn't he referred to the specialist before putting him through two hours of a painful procedure? My son also told me that he did not feel the dentist was confident while working on him. The specialist told him he would need another X-ray and that payment would be required upfront. My son decided not to proceed there and made an appointment somewhere else. He saw another dentist today, and the experience was completely different. The dentist was confident that they could treat his tooth without referring him to a specialist and was able to move forward with getting the problem addressed. So I would like answers to some very important questions: Why was my son referred to a specialist after already undergoing two hours of a painful procedure? * Why did the dentist continue working on his tooth after three attempts to freeze the area were unsuccessful? * Why wasn't the situation reassessed before continuing with the procedure? * Why wasn't my son given antibiotics or another treatment plan at his initial appointment, if the dentist believed there was significant inflammation or infection that could interfere with treatment? * Why was he sent home after two hours of treatment without the root canal being completed? * And finally, I would like reimbursement for the amount my son was charged for the procedure last week, given that the treatment was not completed and he was subsequently referred elsewhere. I have tried to address my concerns directly with the clinic, but I have not received an explanation that satisfies me. My complaint is going much further than simply posting this review. I want answers and I want this situation properly addressed. This clinic has changed significantly since Dr. Tan left, and I am extremely disappointed with our experience.

Dr Sekhon is so incredibly skilled and efficient. He does not go back and forth between patients like a lot of dentists do, making one filling take upwards of an hour. He has fixed other dentists poor work and really cares about the aesthetic outcome as well as quality and durability. His staff are very knowledgeable and soo kind. They really take their time with you and cleanings are very thorough. His practice also uses a lot of new "technology" that I have never seen before. Their office is gorgeous and equipped with IPads, Nespresso and chocolate. So even though they're incredible inconvenient because their office is like 35 mins away from me and they don't do direct billing.. I will forever go see him, because it is incredibly hard to find a quality dentist and one who does not leave you in worse pain then when you came in!!!! Last thing, they have a really skilled dental assistant there who can take off and put back on wires, so you don't have to go to your ortho before hand!!!

I have been going to Petrolia Dental for two years now, and am still somewhat undecided as to how I feel about them. First off, I love how easy it is to schedule appointments at the office. My previous dentist required booking at least eight months ahead of time for cleanings and it was such a headache when you got within a month of your appointment only to find out you had a scheduling conflict. My first check-up last year went well, and I felt comfortable returning to the office for a couple of fillings. I felt like the staff was friendly and competent and that the office was clean and welcoming. My second visit earlier this year was less than stellar. My cleaning was very pleasant, but the dentist was running behind and I had to sit and chat with my hygenist for 45 minutes while waiting for my check-up. When Dr. Varughese finally got to see me, she was very agitated at how behind she was, and spent exactly two minutes on my mouth (there was a clock behind her on the wall). She told me I needed fillings and started to leave, and I had to ask her to stay to explain to me where the fillings were, and how many were needed. It was kind of a burn to pay for a check-up and feel like I was barely looked at. The fillings went ok. Afterwards I had a massive headache and the next morning my gums were bruised black and purple where they had done the filling. It was nearly a week before the swelling and bruising went down enough for me to close my mouth and chew. I don't know if this is "normal" for my mouth, but it certainly was unpleasant. I am willing to return to Petrolia for my next check-up and cleaning, but if I don't feel my mouth is getting the best quality of care, I will be looking for a new dentist.

I needed to find a dentist I was comfortable with; my kids were comfortable with and that I didn't feel like I was being ripped of by seeing as there are no dental fee guidelines in Alberta yet (they are working on it). I have definitely found that here at the Heritage Dental Centre. They treated us well and I felt welcomed which is what I was looking for in a dental office - not just a patient; not just a number but someone they cared about after all they are looking after my health and well being. The hygienist took care of us and the dentist made sound suggestions for care - whether that was a filling for one child or waiting to see what happens with the other. My middle one needed wisdom teeth removed and he suggested a place to go and I had no hesitation about taking his suggestion has I was happy with his work. I will be coming back here for sure. Plenty of free parking but it was also close to the LRT for my oldest who needed to meet us here after university. Plus they took care of insurance and are open late for even more convenience. Really, what more can I - or anyone else, ask for?

You blew my expectations out of the water Dr Osborne. Thank you Sam, Nicole and the others for all your help, gentleness and support for Dr Osborne with his steps each way . I have cried many times with joy and unbelief of how my smile looks. Thank you very much -5 I highly recommend moving dentists if you haven't already !!! I drive from far Northside to south-side and it's worth it 200%. another example of just the little things that matter is I was given a flower the day after Valentine's Day as they were giving. them out for 2 days to clients . how sweet and thoughtful! I had some bonding done before that was not done great and I grin pretty badly so I have posted before and after because I'm so happy how natural they look aside from my swollen gums as it was just don't 5 hours ago. they will settle . thank you again !!!!!
