I would absolutely not recommend this place for any type of massage! I had booked a deep tissue hot stone massage through Groupon and it was a complete waste of money. The rooms are tiny and they do not close the door once you have gotten undressed. This allows for people to see in! There is a curtain, however anyone sitting in one of the reflexology chairs can see right in during any one the 5 times she left the room! Yes she left the room 5 times. They do not use sheets to cover you, only towels. This made me uncomfortable enough to not get fully undressed. This ended up being a very good thing because several times as she attempted to move the towel in order to massage, there was not enough coverage. I am most definitely not a shy person but this was really awkward and uncomfortable. I'm not sure of the name of the woman I had, but there is absolutely no way she was a licensed massage therapist. All she did was dig as hard as she could into my shoulder muscles. I am amazed I'm not bruised. The first half of the massage she left the towel covering me, and when she finally did remove it she didn't even use oil. When my massage was over the woman told me again and again I could not use another coupon. No worries since I won't go back! Overall a pretty bad massage in all aspects. I had bought a Groupon for a 60 minute body massage with hot stones. The woman who did my massage was very nice, but I don't think she was a licensed or professionally trained massage therapist. Her techniques mostly consisted of grabbing at my back repeatedly, without ever trying to actually work out knots or tension. It struck me as incredibly amateur, and not pleasant. I left with more back pain than when I started (and not the feeling after a deep tissue massage where it hurts before it gets better). I'm usually a big believer in speaking up if there's something that I don't like in a massage, but there was no way to tell her I didn't think she knew what she was doing. She also left the door to my room, which was off of the main waiting room, totally open for my entire massage! I was face down for the first half of the massage I didn't realize that everyone on the main room had a perfect view of me! She also wasn't being careful to make sure the towel was covering things. That's not a huge deal to me if I'm in a private room, but is horrifying once you realize an entire waiting room could see you! The main reason I gave two stars is that the hot stone portion was good, and included a satchel of hot pebbles for the back of your neck. The foot portion of the massage was also good, which makes sense given that they seem to primarily be a reflexology place. read more

Today I had a massage with Angel, this was my first time at Blue Ocean, I have to say the place is so clean and smells so fresh . Parking is so easy and free. This was the absolute worst experience of my life. It was SO painful, I was actually wincing and now have bruises all over my body. The woman also answered two phone calls while giving the "massage". I feel like I've been hit by a bus. She also completely removed the blanket, completely exposing me, and basically had her arm in my butt crack half the time. She also whacked my head several times while slapping my back. There was a lot of slapping and pinching. Worst Massage Ever!!! DO NOT GO HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT! I found this place on Groupon and with it being so close to my apartment, I decided that I would give it a try. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and then had to WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 25 MINUTES because they were running behind schedule (but didnt call me ahead to let me know). When they were finally ready for me, they asked me what type of massage I wanted and I specifically said Swedish because my skin and bones are very sensitive so I can't handle deep tissue massages. I lay down for my massage and the guy proceeds to give my the roughest deep tissue massage ever. I literally wanted to cry from the pain. To make matters worst, he proceeded to take to calls during my massage appointment. Very unprofessional! To make matters worst as I go to pay, the woman at the front desk WITHOLDS MY CREDIT CARD and DEMANDS for a bigger tip. She literally refused to give it back. My visit was for reflexology I thought I was going to get the treatment of a professional reflexologist but what I received was a long massage with heavy pressure to the archch of my feet as well as heavy pressure to my toes nothing was gentle about the treatment and no pressure points massages with the fingers in the thumbs and I paid for an hour it cost me $50 will not be going back since I learned what you're supposed to do when you're given someone a reflexology treatment. read more

I have to say I was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time. I called today to see if they had any availability, there was a language barrier, which is not an issue at all, but she asked what time and I said 7, she said 730. I said sure. I drive all the way her, showed up at 720P to a locked door (mind you, it says it's open until 930p, 7 days a week). I call and the same woman picks up and proceeded to tell me she went home. I'm very disappointed for a couple of reasons, 1. I was looking forward to a nice relaxing massage as I have been feeling really down and stressed, dealing with burnout from the hospital I work at, 2. That my time and gas was wasted. I walked in to get a foot massage and the woman talked me into a full body massage. I went into the back room to get ready and a man came in to begin the massage. He spent about a half an hour just pressing on me from on top of the blanket and it hurt so much. It was really warm in there and I asked him if he could turn the air conditioning on and he didn't answer me so I am assuming he did not understand English. The next thing I know a woman comes in and takes over for him and she was even more rough than he was. She was massaging me so aggressively that I was in pain and had to keep telling her it hurt. I could not wait for it to be over. I have never experienced something like that before and have had many massages throughout my lifetime. I left there with such anxiety and felt like I was beaten up. The woman also pulled the sheet down well past my butt and I was exposed. I felt that it was inappropriate for a massage. Okay, so i was looking for a massage place to get foot reflexology. I came accross this place. I called and said id like a foot reflexology appointment. She said ok come on down. When i went the lady at the front desk was very very nice and welcoming. She walked me to my room. 5 minutes later another woman came In to give me my massage. She walked over to me and pulled my pants right off and started working on me.. (some foot reflexologists have you fully clothed as it is just your feet they are working on) i did not get a reflexology massage. Instead i got a hot stone full body massage. The massage over all was very painful as i mentioned so many times to take it easy and that it hurt. She was easier and then started massaging very very hard. I wasnt sure if because of the language barrier i was totally being miss understood but it really is a shame if you cant understand what your customer is saying :/ not only did i not get the massage i scheduled for but i ended up having to pay 60 instead of 40 like i was told over the phone. My son went in last night. What a terrible experience he had. He was on time for his appointment for 1 hour massage.. The lady came in 20 minutes late. After 40 minutes , she told him she was done! During the "massage", ( hard to even call it that), she was talking on the phone, and only ONE hand was on his back!! He said he felt funny asking her to get off the phone. She took 2 phone calls while in the room with him. So she is talking while he is trying to relax - what a joke this place is. She also left the room a couple times to talk to someone in the office. Then proceeded after to try to "make" him give her a tip. She continued to tell him, he owed her a tip. He said, you owe me money because it was just a 40 minute fake massage. He demanded money back.
