Blue Mountain Plumbing was sent to my house from Homeserve for a leak between the meter and the house. The plumber replaced the water line but upon completion his excavator fell into my septic tank. The lid was crushed and also the new line just installed got crimped cause low water pressure. I've had another company repair the septic tank but now need Blue Mountain Plumbing to return to repair the crimped water line. I have left 8 voicemails that have been unanswered. All calls to them go straight to voicemail. It is impossible to contact them. read more

On that Monday it was canceled and pushed to Tuesday to a 2-6pm window, rather than the first possible, the next day.. They still missed that appointment window. Stay away from this company. It is now September 2024, after calling them once a month, I have given up that they will ever come to resolve our issue. I've used my home warranty a few times and they're ok for some stuff but not for plumbing. They contract with Blue Mountain Plumbing. A few weeks ago I put a service request for a slow flushing toilet and all Blue Mountain did was put toilet paper in my toilet and flushed it. They said nothing wrong and charged me a service fee. They didn't consider the video recording I had showing the toilet gurgling as it was, at that point, sporadic but getting worse. I ended up calling a different plumber and paid out of pocket for a camera view of the pipes. Turns out I had a broken line that was trapping debris and causing the clog. The tons of toilet paper Blue Mountain threw into the toilet didn't help the issue. It made it worse. A sewage back flow would have been in my home's future, had I put my trust in the Blue Mountain Plumbings "experts". read more

I wish there was a way to give negative stars. Going through my insurance this company was sent out to fix a leak in my shower drain where it was leaking into me ceiling. The tech seemed competent at the time and installed a new drain and preplaced the P-Trap. Afterword the drywall hole was patched and taped. I then had to have the texture redone along with the ceiling being repainted so it would all match. Fast forward 3 months I start noticing mold on my ceiling and the drywall very wet. I called them and explained what I was seeing, they instructed me to go back through the insurance (to get paid again no doubt). I argued that for a while but lamented so there would be a record. The insurance sent them back out twice and both times I was told this was not their issue and that they would be happy to fix provided I pay the $450 for the drain. The same drain I had just paid them to install a few months earlier. Their own tech even made the statement to both me and the insurance company that the drain had been installed incorrectly. I have since cut the hole back open in my celling and found that the drain nut was never tightened nor putty applied under the drain as it should have been. Despite multiple attempts I have yet to hear back from this company. I would not recommend them to turn off my garden hose let alone stand behind their company. read more

It is now week 5 of our on going water heater nightmare. We've been taking cold showers for over a month but no one at this company seems to care. Ethan came out "looked at it" and said he would return with a heating element. didn't show up for 2 appointments. When he did show up at 12pm ( the appointment was supposed to be from 2-6) October 31st, instead of going right into the open garage to fix the heater, he first sat in his car eating his lunch. My husband was the only one home and had an appointment he would have to leave for by 12:15 (which is why the appt was scheduled for 2-6 when I would be home). My husband went out and aske Ethan if he could, please, put down his lunch and do the work as he (my husband) would have to leave soon. Ethan continued to eat in his car. By the time Ethan finally got out of his car, my husband (who was already late) had to leave. He told Ethan and the company we would have to reschedule. We've been given three more "appointments" since but no one has shown up for anyone. Choice Home Warranty should take this company off their list of contractors ASAP. Beware! These people are one of the plumbing companies the Home Warranty companies use and they are actively trying to make customers take upgrades they do not need in order to get their warranty work completed. when you challenge the validity of their claims they get angry and refuse to work with you resulting in your claim being tossed back to get reassigned. in our case their technician insisted we needed an additional $1,2-1,500 additional for code upgrades to redo gas lines and an expansion tank on my water heater. My home is already up to code and I have the documentation to prove it from my county and water department. We called "bullsh-t" and the technician left in a huff saying no one speaks to him that way, adding "good luck getting this fixed." he informed his boss we cussed him out and that's not even right. the owner called me and I explained to her what happened and she said she understood but they would be refusing the claim. I was ok, no problem. the next day when I called her to try to ask her if I could send over the documentation I had that we are already up to code she grew angry and told me until I got a plumbers license or my husband or brother she wasn't discussing this with me and hung up! She had previously told me (prior to the appointment) that the warranty company I use is the absolute worst company there is out there and that she had told their COO they had a year to pull it together or they would no longer perform work for them. Please STAY AWAY!!! I had the same issue happened to me as Kenny R mentioned in the other review. My home warranty company sent them to fix the circuite breaker triping issue whenever i turned on the garbage disposal. Anyone with the basic knowledge in plumping knows that it is an electrical issue. In fact the same issue happened in my other home earlier and my handyman told me its circuit breaker issue without even looking at the issue and i get it fixed. I am surprised that this plumping company doesnt even have the knowledge as that of a handyman. They were adamant that i pay for the service fee even before inspection and was threatened to leave the house if i dont pay. I had to pay the fee. They told that they cant fix the issue and took my $65 service fee. Now i have to start a new claim again and pay service fee AGAIN. Anyone with basic knowledge in plumping knows that this is a cercuit breaker issue and if they cant fix the issue i dont know why they are collecting money and accepting the job only to say they cant fix the issue. Note: I do have screenshot of the conversation with them in case they dispute my claim. Stay away from them and they will just accept orders from home warrenty company and collect $65 fee. read more

Our water heater malfunctioned, and the Home Warranty company dispatched them to address the issue. The tech determined there was nothing he could do that day, and would need to come back at a later date once parts and services were approved by the Home Warranty company. The real trouble began with the invoicing process. The Home Warranty company had issues with the invoice Blue Mountain Plumbing submitted, leading to a prolonged and frustrating ordeal. Numerous calls were made to Blue Mountain Plumbing, specifically to Hayley, who failed to send the promised updated invoice to the warranty company. As a result, my claim remained pending, causing significant inconvenience and stress. I was without water for almost 2 weeks! What kind of plumbing company leaves their customers without water?! In the end, I had to seek an alternative plumbing service. Needless to say, I would strongly advise against choosing Blue Mountain Plumbing for any plumbing needs. If I could give them less stars, I would. By far, this is the WORST company I've every worked with. On 15 October, we reported to a leak to our home warranty company. Our appointment was scheduled for the 18th of October, as soon as I received our scheduled appointment, I contacted Blue Mountain Plumbing to reschedule (that was the only day I would be out of town). I called multiple times over Monday and Tuesday, with no answer. On Tuesday, I received an appointment confirmation text, which I asked to reschedule. By Wednesday, the water damage was so severe that a mitigation team had to be called, Thursday the water to the house was turned off to allow the mitigation team to dry the area. On Wednesday I again called the company, finally getting through and told them my water was being shut off on Thursday am and I needed a solution as quickly as possible. They eventually made it out Friday night around 7pm, they could not resolve the issues (because they had to wait for the Home Warranty Approval) or offer any solutions to allow us to have water turned back on. They did not submit the information to the Home Warranty until Monday afternoon (all the while knowing our water was shut off). Finally, on Wednesday (10/25), the home warranty claim was approved. Blue Mountain Plumbing couldn't get us on the schedule until Thursday morning. They never showed for the appointment, my son was home waiting for them. The plumber did call me (during my medical appointment, which is why I had my son there), but never came to the house. They rescheduled for Friday morning (10/27 - today) knowing I had an appointment I had to leave for at noon. They never showed, our water is still off. I've been trying to reach them to reschedule with no luck, we are not a priority (who needs water, right?), they won't return phone calls, their emergency line is not working (it has a message that it's out of the area or not taking phone calls). So for over a week, we have NOT had WATER to our house, and we have not date of when it will be turned back on. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I had all my faucets changed out. The p-traps were cleaned out, all soap scum cleaned out, etc. In one faucet, the sewer gas smell kept coming through the sink. I spoke with Choice Home Warranty, and they said the smell is not covered; however, this would be covered as it is an issue with the plumbing. Blue Mountain responded and saw my comments on the sewage line smell, not algae, mold, or mildew, but sewage. Two men showed up, one with the credit card machine in hand, and they told me that they had read the comments and knew it would not be covered. They asked if I was paying by check or credit card, making it clear that they did not intend to honor the service call and address the problem. They were rude and condescending, and I felt used and lied to for an easy service fee. They refused to address the issue and respond to my email and phone call. They told Choice Warranty noise is not covered. Noise? My claim has nothing to do with noise. read more

This is the worst plumbing company we came across. They came to our house thru our insurance company to fix our kitchen drainage , was so impatient, very eager to take the service fees from us. The technician told us that there are some food particles stuck in our drainage and is submitting the claim to the insurance company for approval. He said he will come back and fix the issue after servicing few houses . What they actually submitted to the insurance company was that our drainage is not installed properly ( this is a 14 year old house from a reputed builder). Insurance rejected our claim but the insurance company was nice to work with us to bear some cost if we decide to fix the issue. We contacted two plumbers ( independently ) with good reviews and rating, both of them confirmed that there is nothing wrong in installation , there was a build up in the drainage because of the usage of food. Please note I got independent diagnosis from two plumbers (highly rated ) and both of them gave the same diagnosis results that there was a block in the drainage and could be fixed with snake the line. Contracted one of the plumbers to resolve the issue and they did an amazing job (we used Plumbing Bros) As many stated above , We had the same experience with Blue Mountain plumbing , their business model is to take the service fees , lie to the insurance company, quote a higher price to fix some issue which Is nit there and get your money . A very unethical company , please stay away. We have escalated the issue to our insurance company to relook about contracting with this Company. read more

Our Home Choice Warranty connected us with them and brought the worst 2 weeks of our lives. They were constantly late and the ETA would change. I ended up rushing home from work to meet the plumber for him to spend less than 5 minutes looking at our garbage disposal - he took a couple pictures and then claimed the brand we had usually had to get replaced. It took 1 week for the new garbage disposal to come in. The appointment was set from 8AM-12PM, he showed up at 11:55 pm. At which point then more problems came up he didn't realize considering he didn't even touch the garbage disposal, which took much longer. Only for him to realize that the new garbage disposal didn't fit our sink. IN the whole process he also had to use my kitchen bowls, and my towels to clean up the mess he made. Should they not bring their own supplies ???? Then ANOTHER week goes by for a new garbage disposal to arrive of the original brand, only for him to to say it still wasn't working. Terrible experience. Even if they answer the phone, you have to constantly check in to see if they will show up. never working with them again. read more

When they arrived he said the equipment to fix the clog had broken on his way. 3 months ago this company was hired by my home warranty - they made me pay them $200 out of pocket to bring things up to code prior to them installing a garbage disposal. They installed it and the same day my dishwasher wouldn't drain. I notified Blue Mountain Plumbing and they said it wasn't their problem and told me to call an appliance repair. I paid $119 for an appliance technician to assess and he instantly knew it was a plumbing issue caused by Blue Mountain Plumbing as they'd left a drain plug in. So I re-notified Blue Mountain and they said they would reimburse the $119 via check. After 3 months of phone calls, they still have not reimbursed me. Very upsetting that this company made me pay out of pocket for an issue they caused and are avoiding responsibility. Do not recommend this company!! read more

However the company charged us twice (a $375 charge) for removal of the old unit. When I tried to question this on three occasions the company would not respond. Home Warranty company used this company to fix my hot water heater issue. First off, after they were contacted by my home warranty company, they didn't show up until 3 days later only for the tech to collect my service fee, take a couple of pictures and leave (a whole 10 minutes). He tells me my hot water heater is still under warranty and he will have to call my home warranty company, but will submit the pictures once he gets leaves my house (literally he told me, "give it a couple of hours for them to respond"). I call my home warranty company after 2 hours to see if they got the pictures yet (at this point we had already been taking cold showers for a week). They hadn't received anything, so I had to call Blue Mountain to see if they submitted the pictures. Of course they hadn't. All in all, I had to call Blue Mountain at least 5 times during the day because the warranty company was waiting on additional information from them so they could approve/disapprove the work. After finally getting the approvals needed from the warranty company and time for us to schedule a time for them to do the work, they then tell me it will be another week before they can get back to do the work. "SERIOUSLY!!!" Not only are they wanting to wait another week to do the work, but they also added an additional $1500 of work that the warranty company won't cover. I ended up doing the job myself after watching a few YouTube videos and saved myself $900, a new 9 year warranty on the new hot water heater, and had the job done in about an hour, THE NEXT DAY!!! And to top it all off, I looked up this company and found out their office of business is literally 2 hours away, which makes sense now. They probably were waiting to book a few more jobs in my city to make it worth the trip. I put notes on my service ticket with my home warranty company that they should at the very least do some work when they send out service tickets to just any old company. The least they can do is find someone in the same city. With a population of over half a million, it shouldn't be that hard to find. read more

Blue Mountain was dispatched from my home warranty company to investigate my leaking garbage disposal. The technician was right on time, super friendly, and diagnosed the problem right away. It needed to be replaced. The next day the home warranty company approved the replacement and luckily I got the same technician to come out and install my new garbage disposal. The job was a little tricker than expected because my disposal was very very old and hard wired, but the technician dispatched the work very quickly. read more
