Genuinely one of the best places I've stumbled across. Super cool place. All decked out for Halloween with a huge selection of different themed drinks. I really liked the Snickerdoodle martini! The burger was honestly one of the best I've ever had in my life. Cooked absolutely perfectly. Fries were GREAT. My boyfriend loved his Rueben as well. We will 100% be bringing friends back to have a fun cozy night. Great place. read more

Great spot for a drink and a quick meal at a reasonable price. The specialty martini list is long and covers all sorts of sweet to sour to savory concoctions. The spinach artichoke dip was a great starter for the table and the sliders were a perfect complement to that without being too much food. The space is decked out in fun decor and always showing something interesting on the tvs! read more

just had to update that this is still one of my favorite places & to add to not sleep on the food here. It comes off as more of just a bar but the food is just so good and flavorful & very reasonably priced in my opinion. Still love that you can play games and have fun & always well worth it. read more

I've noticed all the positive reviews and it's unfortunate my experience wasn't so pleasant. I work to hard for my $ to spend it in this way.I work in the area and I visited this place for a few moments.Service ok. Food never got a chance to taste anything. Pretty nice old school feel with a classic lounge /bar look. Though,I'll never eat here. I stopped in for 2 sodas. 2 cans of Coke. $11.36 . There isn't any can of soda in this city I would spend $5.18 for. For that. I wouldn't recommend this place. A meal would cost a car note and if it didn't I would really be amazed. It's sad unappealing and frankly unacceptable to sell a soda for $5.18 . I'm not cheap either. I've eaten and had drinks at some of the best restaurants in this city and they don't even charge this much for a soda! read more

Blue Line Lounge is so freaking cute! Some friends and I met here before heading to a concert and it ended up being the perfect spot. Our server was so sweet and welcoming. She informed us that there was a Moscow Mule happening. We took advantage of it and it was delicious. We also ordered a couple shareables including nachos, pickle chips, fries, and boneless wings. All the food was SO GOOD! I can't even pick a favorite. Im dying to go back and get a full meal. They are known for their martinis so I decided to give it a try. It was fantastic. I can't wait to come back! read more

Blue Line Lounge looks small from the outside, but I was surprised by how spacious it is inside! The retro diner/lounge vibe is cozy but not too cramped, making it a great spot to grab drinks and watch sports. The cocktails are solid with lots of options. Maybe I'll come back for food sometime! - AD read more

New favorite spot! Right under the Damen blue line. Gives vibes of retro diner! Amazing service, strong drinks, great food! Sweet potato fries were amazing, all the food came out quickly! Smaller portions for a big group but decent pricing! They have a ton of holiday specials. read more

Blue Line Lounge has fun drinks and surprisingly delicious dishes that you could tell the chef took time to craft. During a weekday happy hour, a friend and I popped in and were seated promptly. We ordered appetizer tater tots (a must get!), fish tacos and a beef salad. Tator tots came out hot and crispy while everything else out about 20 minutes later. Great food + locals at the bar watching the game + friendly staff = 10/10, would come here again especially for happy hour! read more

Great happy hour martinis! For only $8 you can get any of their specialty martinis, and there's a lot of options, from dryer to sweeter to creamy to not. I ordered the pb and j martini, which is a house secret. Wowowowo I LOVED this drink. I could distinctly taste the peanut butter and jelly flavors and it was creamy and I couldn't taste the alcohol. I then got the Bellini and could only have a quarter of it, I didn't need any more drinks! It was pretty tasty, but the pb and j is a clear winner. I tried my cousin's cucumber royale, her favorite, and I could taste the alcohol so it was stronger but definitely refreshing with muddled cucumbers. My other cousin had the espresso me and didn't like it, said it tasted like chocolate milk. We didn't get food but my cousin raved about them having the best Mac and cheese ever. She said the best. Apparently their fried chicken is gluten free? A nice bonus! read more

How have I never reviewed Blue Line Lounge?! I absolutely love this place and make anyone detour here if we're in the area. Martinis are amazing - beer selection is pretty decent. They also have so many different specials during the week. I always forget that the food here is actually pretty good. If you like sweet potato fries, get them. Do not hesitate. They're actually crispy and not like some other restaurants that serve you a weird soggy mess. The fried pickles are also amazing. I will say, if you have a group more than 2-3, grab a booth. Especially if you're going to be playing any of the many, many board games that they have there. You'll be thankful for the extra space. read more

This place was a nice surprise! It's got a loungey diner ambience with layered lighting, and a full house of customers! Situated just under the Damen Blue Line train, you'd be surprised that the hustle and bustle of patrons and music actually obscure the sounds of the train. I didn't notice it the entire time I was there! Came here for happy hour on a Friday around 6:30 and snagged the last 2 bar seats. It was a full house but we didn't wait long to order our drinks. They have a great special martini deal during happy hour: $7! And they have a ton of flavors. We got the Cucumber Royale and Passion Fruit specialty martinis. The Cucumber Royale was refreshing and you can definitely taste the gin! The Passion Fruit was very sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth, this is for you! Great place for happy hour! And a great diner ambience in a very clean space :) read more

Great cocktails and happy hour deals. Highly recommend for a date night. The servers were very attentive and overall had a nice ambiance.

Very good burger and fries. Nice place, owner very polite and attentive. Great place to watch a game.

Hannah was our blonde bombshell of a waitress!!! She was so attentive and so kind! She also helped us make some decisions on the menu!! We were lucky enough to come for the happy hour and got the passion fruit, cocaine lady, lemon drop, and the jolly rancher! They were so delicious!!! But really the star of the show was Hannah, she made our experience one for the books!! If I could promote her I would! The food came out so quickly and was hot and amazing. I love this place! Been coming for years. Wonderful martinis my favorite is the pear, and great food. I recommend Buffalo wings and the pizza, it's thin and crispy well cooked, oh and the burger, yummy! Shout out to the kitchen for fast service. A popular bar that's of course next to the Blue Line. It makes it convenient for those traveling by train. Blue Line Lounge is a somewhat old school looking place with good drinks and better than average bar food. Even has a few healthy items. The prices aren't cheap but aren't that bad for this area it seems. Got a chance to check out this place recently again. It's conveniently located next to the Damen station. The bar has a hip old atmosphere if you can say that. Had to get drinks. It's about $12 for a cocktail, which is about what to expect around here. Sazerac was the best of these. A classic. This one was made with absinthe, cream of coconut, and nutmeg. Among the food, there were only a few vegetarian choices. We each got an Impossible Burger, but it being good was actually possible. It's about $15 for a big one. This comes with the choice of a side. Good flavor. The thing was a filling and low fat meal. Has lots of good specials going on, so check up on what they got. It's Martini specials on Wednesdays, but there's a few others. The food isn't bad either, and there's some healthy but good things. read more

OMG!!! Never have I EVER tipped zero dollars. UNTIL TONIGHT! Ordered Violetta a cocktail with GIN, lambrusco, lemon, crème de violette. Bartender gave me a drink that looked correct but smelled strongly of tequila... I sipped anyways, very clearly tequila. Doubting myself, asked my partner to try, agreed-- definitely tequila. I have worked in the service industry for years, I politely asked (hate doing this) is this x drink? She rolled her eyes and gaslit me, yes. I asked again ok because it taste like tequila? She looked me up and down & walked away. I'm going crazy because I'm 28 years old I KNOW what tequila taste like and it taste NOTHING like gin. I ask the people sitting next to me at the bar, yes that's obviously tequila they say. I ask the bar back to smell it, he goes well we are busy, I'll let her know... She storms back over RUDELY and says well do you want me to make another??? I DONT KNOW B**** I ORDERED A DRINK WITH GIN SO YES PROBABLY WOULD LIKE WHAT I ORDERED WITHOUT BEING GASLIT AND TREATED SO RUDELY. Totally unbelievable. You made a mistake, fine. That happens. Treating your customers like they are stupid and wrong when you f up-- not ok. Ridiculous and all their crap drinks are pre-made. Avoid at all cost. Too bad, cute bar, bad vibes, incompetent rude bartenders that are complete LOSERS. And it was my birthday! Good bye rude b * * * h enjoy zero dollars and the curse I put on you. read more

I came here on a Friday night near the end of their Happy Hour which is 5-7pm. It's a nice clean spot to grab a drink! The specialty martinis are really fun and only $7 during happy hour! We got a seat at the bar and we were helped reasonably quickly given that they seemed understaffed at the time. Even though it was packed there was no wait to seat ourselves. I got the passion fruit martini, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste since it also had a sugar rim, so I switched with my partner's cucumber royale which was more dry. Really great happy hour deal with lots of diner-style seating, definitely would recommend! read more

Tried to go here for drinks and they said they can't take our order for 25 minutes. Would not recommend due to horrible service.

I have always wanted to come here as I see all the time while cruising the Blue line through wicker park or walking around the neighborhood. It has a super cute divey/old school diner type feel with an edge of a modern lounge ha. it is located right under the blue line at Damon and Milwaukee. When you enter it looks like a cute little diner, good music and nice staff. We sat in the back to get a more loungy feel ha. The food is original and tasty. They have martini happy hours that you can't miss ha. The lobster deviled eggs were so good, and the fried shrimp with some kinda sauce was sooooooo appetizing. You get a free jello shot with check in ha! Definitely plan on coming back. Was a good time. read more

Great atmosphere. Small portions for the price. Busy place. Perfect for the area. Right off the Damen blue line.

Our goal this long weekend was to visit as many Chicago neighborhoods as we possibly could. What better way to get a feel for a neighborhood than visiting its bars! We love riding the "El" and spend most of our time on the blue line, so what better way to start my weekend reviews than the awesome Blue Line Lounge & Grill. Steps from the train platforms exit, this bar lured us in with the 3.00 PBR bottle sign. It was busy on a Thursday night around 9pm. This was also a Bears home game on Thursday Night Football. The city was hype, but the bar was laid-back and casual, just the way I like it. We found a table towards the back, near the huge, beautiful bar. Service was quick, fast, and perfect. Beautiful bartenders! My son and I had a few of those PBRs. My wife and daughter had some fancy drinks. Damen turned out to be one of my favorite neighborhoods in Chicago, and Blue Line is a great representative. Perfect bar experience and a place that I definitely will return to on our travels. read more

Holy moly. I haven't had a favorite restaurant in a while. Let alone combo for favorite bar and restaurant. To start they play great fun music, and play classic movies on the TVs so just to start there's a lot going on but it feels like home for me and is very comfortable. It can be a little loud but it makes it intimate in my opinion. I love the low lighting and booth seating! So comfy. One side has a fireplace and feels more like a bar where as the other is more diner vibes. Their food is fantastic. I had the Reuben and the chicken pot pie and omg screw the Reuben (still so good) but get the chicken pot pie! My boyfriend and I split both but we really finished the pot pie. It's massive and so homey and comforting and hot and amazing. It's HUGE and so good ugh I already want another one. Check in with yelp and get a free jello shot ($1 anyways which is such a good deal.) And might I end this review of my favorite restaurant with the fact that they have board games!!!!! I love board games so it's such a great date spot to grab dinner and then some drinks and games. My goal is to become a regular here... read more

Evidently there is a faithful following of this restaurant although I don't see the draw. It's close to the Blue Line, which is convenient on blustery cold days, there is comfortable seating, large windows, and some-what friendly staff. I'm not a fan of fancy drinks so the mixology thing doesn't do much for me. The flat bread pizza was meh but the red wine was nice. This is not a family-friendly place as it caters to an an adult crowd. They don't seem to want kids around so leave them at home.
