They were both so much fun and you can tell they truly love what they do. I've done several zip line courses in the past and this was one nice because we didn't have to do a lot of hiking; all the starts were close together so there wasn't a lot of waiting in between zips. The rafting portion was also very fun. Holden was our guide and he was so nice and knowledgeable. It was very interesting learning about the different rapids names and how they were named that. He let us decide how adventurous we wanted to be and didn't let any of us fall out the boat. Now, the rafting was cold. COLD. That's our fault for booking at the end of September. We were provided with dry tops that went over our clothes and those were nice. I wore water shoes and I'm glad I did. After the rafting you go back to the main center and there's changing rooms that also have hot showers connected to them. So it's worth bringing some body wash and a nice warm change of clothes for when you're done. They also took some cool pictures, we didn't purchase them but we should have !

My husband wanted to go whitewater rafting on…read morethe Ocoee for his birthday this year, and after a quick search through Yelp and beyond, OAR is one of the best rated rafting companies in the area. We booked the Middle River trip, which totals about 3 hours and includes 1.5 hours on the river itself. I booked our trip a couple of weeks in advance online, and I'm glad I did, because they sold out for the day! It was $65 per person, which feels like a fair price for the experience. They recommend arriving 30 minutes early, which will give you plenty of time to get checked in and get your party situated. Definitely bring sunscreen and a plastic water bottle, along with the proper water shoes and attire. You're instructed to leave everything in your car, and then drop your keys off with the front desk staff for pick-up after your rafting trip. The safety briefing started right on time, and basically consists of what to do if you end up going overboard. It's not meant to be scary, and most of it is self-intuitive. There were about 60 people in our group, and the majority of rafts held 6 people. After the safety talk was over, everyone gets their own lifejacket, oar, and helmet. Then you and the rest of your crew hops on a school bus, which will take you to the drop-off site about 20 minutes away. This is where we met our rafting guide, Cleveland, and after a quick demo on paddling and how to sit in the raft, we were off on our adventure! Our time on the water was so much fun, and I want to shout out how incredible Cleveland was from the beginning to the end. He was an awesome mix of friendly, engaging, and informative, which made our trip all the more memorable! As a group of two, we were paired with two other random couples to fill out our raft, which was a great way to meet some new people. Overall this was an amazing experience, and we can't wait to do it again soon. We'll definitely be booking the full river trip next time!

It's a quiet mountainous area, and while the aesthetics aren't what you'd get at some of the really primo tourist attractions, it is a pleasant and relaxing piece of nature. The upkeep of the infrastructure varied dramatically; some boardwalks looked quite new, while another platform was falling apart. I was on parts of the trails for the better part of an hour but I'm sure there was plenty more that I didn't get to. It is an area that has something to offer regardless of the season, and while I'd rather hit one of the big parks nearby, it was a nice place to spend a little time when I did.

Easy parking near downtown (I guess it's downtown at least it's town), take a sea-level stroll beside the river while breathing in the surroundings. An extra star for those black walnut trees dropping their wares on the path because we all need more walnuts in our lives. Add in some nice level paths for strolling and it's a fun trip. Allow 30 mins at least, take much longer if you want to enjoy the many twists and turns under the trees. Venture across the walking bridge to the other side of you date challenge the seasoned pros to a pickle match. We didn't dare on this trip since we'd already braved the Sasquatch. I hope to return for another stroll when in the big city again.

We…read morewere a large group of 36 people so we got a good deal for the middle package which was about 1.5 hr ride down the river. The instructors, from my experience and what I heard, were super animated and energetic! They made the experience for us first timers, a breeze and fun. There's a photographer who follows you along the way in which you can purchase all the photos at the end for $45. Given the quality of the photos, I feel as though it's a very fair price especially as we ended up with almost 40 pictures to look through. Overall, I had a perfect first white water rafting experience. There's bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms on site if you want to freshen up for the long car ride home. All the staff members were great especially our guide, Justin!! I would love love to come again and do the longer 6 hour ride in the near future. Highly recommend this company!

Short drive to the power station below the dam and in we went. Stopped on on of the many islands for lunch. Back at Webb Brother s and our new neighbor was watching to pull us out. We did tip once and lost one paddler momentarily. It is fun and challenging for beginners.
