Handicap Shower stall- you can't see the large bench seat on the opposite wall.

Great campgrounds- the spots are Spacious you are not on top of each other and many lots have water, electricity. Although we didn't use it it looks like they do have sewer to drop your grey and black water. The restrooms are beautiful, with 4 stalls 2 private showers and 1 handicap shower stall. All the restrooms are heated in the winter- it really is a nice set up. I saw some low reviews but that was before this place was remodeled.

Beautiful Blue Ridge Lake in Georgia. This was my view while waiting for totality #Eclipse2017.

We found this park by pleasant accident while looking for a good spot to view the total solar eclipse. As part of the Chattahoochee National Forest, this recreation area is situated on Blue Ridge Lake, and the beach offers gorgeous mountain & forest views. The bathrooms here are well-stocked, although NOT air-conditioned. Separate dressing rooms are available in the same building as well. The small store rents kayaks & paddleboards for half & full days, plus sells bags of ice ($3 for 10lbs), cold beverages & souvenirs. Daily entry is $5 and parking is plentiful! I also saw a separate parking area for camping, but I'm not sure of those fees. The public areas were clean & well-maintained, yet very woodsy. This was a fantastic place to spend an afternoon wading in the lake and sunning in the sand!

Cooper Creek Campground is absolutely the most beautiful, off the beaten path, places I've ever…read moretraveled and it's practically in Atlanta's back yard! Located on the beautiful and noisy Cooper/Mulky Creek just an hour north of Dahlonega up Hwy 60 and then up some of the most beautiful and winding mountain roads that make you think you're never going to get there! By the time you turn on to Forest Service Rd 236 (a beautiful and peaceful dirt mountain road that climbs up through the pine and hardwood forests), you realize there is something amazing waiting for you. And there is. Cooper Creek Campground is like reaching a little slice of heaven. Fifteen campsites scatter through out the lush forest, and five of them sit right on the banks of Cooper/Mulky Creek. I advise getting there early during the week so you can get a creek side spot ... there is nothing like it! The creek is rocky and noisy and if you fish, the trout are plentiful! I walked the loop and all of the campsites were beautiful and within easy walking distance to the creek. As a solo hiker and camper, I chose spot #1 for the way the creek opened up and the trees opened up around my tent site to give me a clear view of a beautiful moon. I also liked the quiet solitude of this site ... few cars passed here since it's on the back loop. The campground hosts also live two spots up. As an avid (delirious almost) rock stacker, I fell in love with this creek. The rocks are amazing and perfect for stacking and balancing. It was so relaxing I stacked till after dark and was up just after sunrise stacking again! The pine cones in camp are plentiful, so I got a good pine smoke going and didn't have the first mosquito or black fly. I'm telling you ... this place is heaven! After dark a bunch of deer came through my camp and lapped at the creek for almost a half hour. Two fawns frolicked in the fern thickets next to my tent for a while and were bouncing around like puppies! With the light of the moon, I felt like I had a front row seat for natures big show that night! Also, there are synchronous fireflies here, which surprised me. Just after dark during the Summer Solstice, I thought it was kids playing with flashlights, but it was fireflies, all blinking in unison! It was amazing! I can't WAIT to go back! In fact, now that I'm home, I'm missing it. Cooper Creek is open year round and keep their gates open 24 hours a day. You won't get a phone signal here, so you may as well turn it off ... the solitude is amazing! Each site has a tent pad, grills, lantern pole and a picnic table. There are also bear bins that are an easy walk from each site for discarding trash. For hikers, you won't be disappointed. There are five interconnected trails that start in or near the camping area (Yellow Mountain Trail- 3.2 miles, Connector Trail- 0.4 miles, Mill Shoals Trail- 0.9 miles, Shope Gap Trail- 0.6 miles, and Cooper Creek Trail- 1.7). I found myself hiking in and out and exploring trail after trail. The abundance of trees at Cooper Creek keep the temperatures down, much cooler than up on the main road. I paid $10 a night for my site. There are faucets for drinking water and there are two vaults for bathrooms. There are no electric hook ups or dump stations. Primitive camping at it's finest! There are no reservations ... everything is first come, first serve. Have fun everyone!

There are restrooms right next to the visitor center. There are two playgrounds on the other side of the visitor center with loads of picnic tables to sit at! Parks are in full shade. The official archway for the trail is directly behind the visitor center so be sure to catch your picture there! The big stocked pond was nice! Loads of dead fish floating and garbage which wasn't the best but not overwhelmingly horrible just could use some clean up. The trail leading up to the base of the falls is steep but well paved and maintained with a couple of seating areas along the way to catch your breath. We somewhat cheated and skipped the steps after we saw the base we turned around, drove up the street across from the visitor center and stopped midway up the falls to see another view half way up the falls on a bridge (check in the woods when you walk to this bridge there is a truck stuck in the woods and a tree is literally growing around it!) then we got back in the car and drove to the top! We may have skipped the stairs but we felt we truly got to enjoy the experience with the 3 little ones 5 and under haha. The top most viewing platform, not the bridge over top, was closed for construction when we went mid April. The lodge at the stop is strikingly beautiful!

His reservation system is antiquated, and although our name was right, all the other info was wrong. There's a heated pool, but its very green, wont be using that. The sites are in need of care and maintenance. Most pads/sites are in the mud after a good rain. I'm very grateful for the restoom/ shower...BUT there's no place to put your shower supplies or change of clothes. There are hooks for your towel, but nothing else. They have shower curtain as doors for the restroom and the shower stalls( which are identical). They need something that doesnt blow back onto you in the shower stall (yuck) and maybe shutter doors for the restroom so as not to open the cutain while someone is in the restoom stall ( which are directly localted across from the shower stalls). Would love to give a 5 star rating for kindness, but all of it need work.
