After following the Atlas AC YouTube channel and learning from Kenneth's videos over the past six…read moremonths, I developed a solid foundational understanding of CFM, ductwork, filtration, and HVAC systems. When I encountered persistent issues with my new home's HVAC and lost confidence in the original vendor's ability to resolve them, I decided to seek quotes from reputable local companies in the San Antonio area. Based on consistently strong ratings and reviews, Atlas AC stood out during my research, and I reached out on May 23rd to schedule a service call. An appointment was confirmed for May 28th between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. I received both an email confirmation and two follow-up text reminders throughout the week, which initially reflected well on the company's professionalism. In preparation, I rearranged my work schedule and took the day off to meet with the technician in person. Approximately two hours before the appointment, I received a call from Abby, the scheduling supervisor. She initially referenced an incorrect time window of 3:00-5:00 PM before I corrected her, and then informed me that the technician would be unable to attend at all. She apologized and offered to reschedule, noting the next available appointment would be seven days out, and suggested I was free to contact another company if I preferred. While I understand that scheduling conflicts can arise, the manner in which this was handled fell significantly short of acceptable customer service standards. Atlas AC had a full week to identify and communicate any scheduling issues -- proactive notification the day prior would have allowed me to preserve my time off. Instead, I was informed of the cancellation with only two hours' notice and no meaningful resolution offered. It is reasonable to expect that the same 24-hour courtesy cancellation standard that businesses request of their customers be extended in return. Unfortunately, this experience does not reflect the level of professionalism I had anticipated based on Atlas AC's reputation, and it has affected my confidence in moving forward with them.

They are not the most affordable, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. I had my 13+ year old HVAC finally die on me about a month ago during the 100°+ sweltering days. I called them and within 2 hours the technician came out to diagnose the problem, discovered it was time to replace the system, but temporarily fixed it until we could agree on price, model & install date. 2 weeks later, the city permit was pulled, they had their electrician & plumber out, and the entire system was replaced. Exactly on time, as expected & friendly. They laid mats down while walking inside to not get dirt anywhere on my floors, they wore masks, informed me of exactly what to expect, who to expect on site, etc. Booth was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through all the options for systems, design, pricing, etc. I cannot recommend them enough!!

The nice lady at the office was kind enough to try to find me someone to come this afternoon or tomorrow. She found someone to come between 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Called me back about 1:30 hours after my original call, to inform me someone is on the way, who came another 1:30 hours later. Jim Smith (Jim Rodela, as stated on the invoice), first gave me a flat rate of $300. When I said it was too much for such a small job, he said, he has to get the actual price from the van. Then he came back with a price of $168. I tried calling their office and it was after 5:00 PM, past their office hours. So, I asked Jim to connect me to their office and when I spoke with Kevin Bunner, the manager, he explained to me that a trip charge of $45 plus an hourly charge of $90, (minimum half-an-hour) will be charged. Jim ran the snake and cleared the clog in 17 minutes. So at the end of the day, they did a good job, but at a price less than originally quoted.

I've been a customer of Comfort-Air Engineering & Primo Plumbing for over five years, but my recent…read moreexperience has been unacceptable. The company double-billed me for the same AC service, an invoice I had already paid, and has ignored three months of my calls and emails seeking clarification about the second charge. I continue to receive automated invoices without any explanation of the duplicate billing or the work supposedly performed. Even worse, an employee reached out to me in an email, falsely claiming that I was trying to hold them "financially responsible" for things outside of their control simply because I asked a question about the work performed. This was especially troubling since the dispatcher had already confirmed it was the same issue being repaired a second time. Neither management nor the owner (who had been personally introduced to me) has ever responded. This company's unprofessionalism, billing errors, and disregard for customers are appalling. Avoid this company at all costs. I am now evaluating whether to escalate this matter to consumer protection agencies to prevent others from being treated the same way. It's sad to see a business I've supported for years fail to provide simple explanations and treat loyal customers this poorly. All trust has been lost. Response to the Company's response: I appreciate the company's reply, but it unfortunately confirms the very issue I described. For three months, I asked for clarification on why I was billed twice for the same unresolved problem, a matter your own dispatcher acknowledged was the same service being revisited, not a new one. That's why I reached out for clarification, as anyone would after receiving a second bill by surprise that was said to be for the same work. The repair was only completed successfully on the second visit, which is when payment should reasonably apply. The problem has since been resolved with no further issues, confirming that the first visit was not a completed job, something also acknowledged by the dispatcher. Despite repeated outreach, no one ever explained this or provided details of what was done on that second visit; I only received another invoice. After being ignored for months, I ultimately paid the second bill under threat of collections, not because the situation was ever clarified. The owner's follow-up came only after I posted this review, and even then, my questions about billing and communication were not addressed. I've been a customer for over five years and have always paid promptly once a repair was completed. My only request was transparency. It's disappointing that instead of acknowledging that, the company continues to deflect responsibility rather than address the lack of communication and customer care that led to this situation. I'm not looking to escalate this any further; I simply wanted the company to understand how this came across from a long-time customer's perspective. I genuinely hope you take this as constructive feedback. In my experience, clear communication and follow-through make all the difference in maintaining trust and long-term relationships. Disacknowledgement only leads to a loss of trust, and in this case, confirms it.
