Very disappointed with the quality of work from Veteran Air…read more I called Veteran Air before a major cold snap to have our heat pump checked out. Their technician, Jonathan Scholtz, diagnosed a corroded indoor evaporator coil and low system pressure. He also tried to upsell me on replacing the entire unit -- I should have realized that was a warning sign. Instead, they replaced just the coil. I paid the full amount ($3,233.85 after the veteran discount) and hoped that would be the end of it. About five months later, I started noticing the condensate pan overflowing and draining outside the house. I tried clearing the lines myself, but the dripping continued. Since it took Lisa from Veteran Air several hours to respond, I went ahead and called another HVAC company for help. They charged me a $150 on-site visit fee. The other technician was shocked by what he found: when Veteran Air replaced the coil, they never reinstalled the baffles around it and didn't even secure the coil properly in the brackets. There was basically no way for the condensation to drain correctly. He also confirmed the system pressure was still extremely low. The other techs could have fixed it right then, but they didn't want me to be out of pocket for repairs that should be covered under warranty. They recommended I call Veteran Air back to make it right. Here are pictures of what the other HVAC tech saw. I'm really disappointed -- I expected better, especially from a company that serves veterans. I wouldn NOT recommend Veteran Air based on this experience.

I just found my go-to HVAC crew, AND I wasn't even calling about an HVAC system…read more Late on a Friday I discovered THE FIXER-upper I moved into has window units were basically welded into place. After striking out with other companies, I phoned Veteran Air. Lisa answered, listened, and looped in her service manager right away. Minutes later she called back: they could help, and we booked for Monday. Matthew, from Veteran Air, showed up this morning and was a total pro. He greeted my dogs like old friends, then tackled the monster unit without scratching the window frame or siding. Watching him wrestle that sealed-in relic out of the wall convinced me I never could've done it alone. The unbelievable thing? The bill was tiny. Way less than I expected for the time, tools, and muscle it took and such a good value. When I'm ready to add central AC, Veteran Air will be my first call. If they put this much care into a one-off rescue job, I can't wait to see how they handle a full install. Five stars, no hesitation.

Deron Hock, a senior technician with Beluga Air, sold us a new Goodman HVAC today…read more This is the second system that we purchased from Beluga Air. Deron was a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had. He did not try to pressure me into a sale. Instead, he showed me the different systems available and explained all of the features of the several systems and their respective prices. I found Beluga's prices to be very reasonable. Instead of being a stressful situation, the entire sales experience with Deron was very pleasant. I look forward to the installation of our new system and would highly recommend Beluga Air.

I was told the evaluation was a free system evaluation, but the company did not keep their word…read more The initial technician was kind and knowledgeable. He called in a second-tier technician, Daron, who was also very polite. However, after the visit, I was hit with an unexpected $75.00 fee. On top of that, they quoted $8,800 to replace the unit in my tiny 622-square-foot condo. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch strategy, so I declined all services. The technicians themselves were great, but management's dishonest pricing feels like a scam.

We came home from a trip to find our downstairs AC blowing hot air and were already stressing. We had another company come out first and were given a pretty overwhelming quote, so we decided to get a second opinion. I am so glad we did. Our technician Tony took the time to explain exactly what was wrong, walked us through our options, and answered all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. It's hard to find honest people who genuinely want to help, and that was our experience with Felix. We really appreciated the fair assessment, quick response, and quality work. We contacted Texas Air Repair close to 10:00 PM, and to our surprise, someone called us back almost immediately. They were genuinely concerned and got us scheduled for the very next day. Our technician was friendly, professional, and thorough. While clearing the drain line, he found that our system was significantly undercharged with refrigerant, which was making the A/C work much harder than it should. He took the time to explain everything clearly, and we decided to have the system brought back to the manufacturer's specifications to help prevent future problems. We really appreciated the honesty and transparency from Texas Air Repair. It's unfortunate that our home builder didn't show the same level of care during the original installation.
