It was a little bit of a rough start trying to get a hold of them.. originally sent a request to txt, which I never heard back from. Following day, Saturday, I ended up calling them. The got my contact information and told me someone would call me, didn't quiet explain why/when.. Owner called me same day and offered someone to come that evening or following day (Sunday, Father's Day). I told him there was no rush and requested Monday service. Monday I got another call from a third person wanting to schedule service, I told her someone had already scheduled service for me same day. She stated that was odd as I didn't even have a customer profile, but could get the technician in same day. I do want to add.. all 3 people I spoke with very nice. Clara, the technician showed up and she was so knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. She immediately identified the issue and Provided great service and realistic suggestions. Will definitely use them again. read more

Quit using this company several summers ago when they would not send a technician out at 7pm in the evening in the middle of the summer to get the AC running again. I had just spent $14K on a new system from them a couple of years prior and had an annual maintenance contract with pre-paid service. Save your money and buy somewhere else. This owner only stands behind his product when it's convenient for him. read more

Once you go with General Air Conditioner, you will be a forever customer. I just left another company after 15 Years because my A/C went out and they re-scheduled my appointment 3 times. I called General Air conditioning, talked to the front desk, Crystal, very professional, very friendly, knows what CUSTOMER SERVICE is, she answered all my questions and stated they install Trane A/C Units only, that is exactly what I wanted. Experts to replace my current Trane. She contacted the owner, Tim Bruce and he came to my house the same day and did what he needed to do to make sure I had A/C in this Texas Weather. VERY COMPETITIVE PRICING. TRUSTWORTHY, not a sales man, he only cares about what you need, not about the money he wants to make. The very next day, his crew was here, Josh, Vic, and Nick. They installed a new 2-speed Trane. I did not need a furnace, Tim stated I had another 4 or 5 years, it was still in great shape. The last company stated I needed a NEW SYSTEM, they are obviously out for themselves, not a 15 Year Customer. The first thing Vic was concerned about was the HEAT in our house, she offered a FAN to me, to keep me cool, in my home office. The last company apologized to me and stated they had a skeleton crew, General Air Conditioning is a SMALLER BUSINESS and they OPENED a slot for me. They CARE. Josh, Vic, and Nick are very dedicated, as HOT as it was outside, they did what they needed to do, installing my new unit away from a bush where my current Trane was to have enough room to work and they installed a brand new breaker box for my new Trane. Everything was cleaned up, looks neat and now I am breathing CRISP cold air. THANK YOU, General Air Conditioning! Don't change the people you are, you are truly PROFESSIONALS and TRUSTING people in this world is now "rare"! Your company will SOAR with word of mouth. God Bless You for BLESSING people with your caring hearts and great detailed work. The Owner and Staff at General Air Conditioning is all you need for your Air Conditioning needs. I am now a member of their maintenance plan to keep my new system working at its best! read more

Tim and his all-star crew are the absolute best! Installed 2 Trane units in January, replacing 2 19-year old units on their last legs. Obtained 5 bids from known Trane dealers and his was the best by thousands of dollars. Outstanding and knowledgeable folks. Hire Tim if you want the best! read more

Their technicians are certified and receive continual education. They are experts in AC and heating units both in maintenance and installation of residential and industrial type units. General Air completely replaced our HVAC unit including duct work. The water catch pan was of my own design. They have been maintaining the system by contract, and I am completely satisfied. I would highly recommend recommend General Air for any and all your HVAC needs. read more

General Air Conditioning HVAC company is owned and operated by Tim Bruce; who leads a team of experienced and professional male and female service technicians. I have always been pleased with their excellent service which is why I have shared his business information on the Facebook group page for my HOA and via the NextDoor app. We first met Tim Bruce in 2015, when we interviewed him and several other TRANE Certified HVAC companies to upgrade our builder installed Carrier HVAC system; which never evenly heated or cooled our home, during the almost 10 years that we had it. Throughout the past 8 years, we have always renewed our annual maintenance plan with Gen Air; which has saved us a lot money because: It includes our Spring & Autumn seasonal maintenance checkups; which helps to keep our TRANE HVAC System working at its best. read more

Initially, General Air Conditioning provided multiple options that would work for the Square foot of my home. After the expressed the pros and cons of each unit, I was knowledgeable enough to decide which unit I felt comfortable with my budget. The information that was provided by General Air Conditioning, concurred with information from my own research and information I gathered from other HVAC technicians. On installation day, the whole team, owner and all, showed up to the job. The owner showed up at the completion of the project to ensure a quality job was performed. During the installation, their lead female technician patiently answered my questions and proactively provided valuable additional information, such as upkeep, installation process, and warranty procedures, etc, etc. Pictures are also posted of the job. I would definitely recommend General Air Condition (GAC). read more

We've been holding off replacing our HVAC unit for several years due to the associated costs and wanting to make sure we found a competent HVAC company. Well I can tell you that we struck gold with General Air Conditioning. Throughout the process we got excellent service in determining exactly what we needed based on our house and a/c use. Every step of the planning process was clearly explained and all my questions were answered. For such a big purchase, I felt really reassured that I picked the right system and company to work with. The install process was just as impressive. The technicians were very professional and worked diligently to make sure everything was installed correctly. They also kept me informed throughout the installation to help me better understand the ends and outs of my system. After two months with the new HVAC unit, I am very impressed with its performance and the service provided by General Air Conditioning. read more

The A/C unit i had put in 2 years ago all has been a fantastic investment! The Return on Investment: I used to have to buy 200 gallons of propane 3 to 4 times a winter. Last year I filled it only once in March. I'm still heating on the same tank and have plenty left for this winter. Each tank cost around $500. That's about $1500 - $2000 savings per year. Very happy with our purchase. The house is much more comfortable in any season. Tim and his team has always been the honest and best quality HVAC company we used since 2003! read more

I am not connected with anyone at this company, nor did I receive any freebies. I am writing this review because these guys/gals are awesome and I want everyone know how great they are. They take pride in their work and who they hire. I met Tim ten years ago when he was still performing service calls. He was honest and willing to help and I never forgot that. I call them anytime I have an issue. Thank you for being a company I am proud to recommend and do business with. I am going to sleep well tonight now that my A/C is working! read more

If you are looking for a bunch of good people working for a great business, this is the place to go for all your air conditioning and furnace needs. Staff is super friendly and they help each other. General Air Conditioning installed our HVAC system and has been maintaining it for us keeping like new over the course of many years. Their office staff is very professional and courteous namely, Sarah. The service professionals are exceptional like Danny who stopped by today to do our biannual inspection. The owner Tim has grown the business from the ground up through the use of simple business tactics such as, each client is your best client and part of the wide circle of General Air family if you will. I am completely sold on General Air and I confident you will be too! read more

Tim and General Air Conditioning are nothing short of amazing!! Our A/C went out on a Friday so we contacted another well-known company that quoted us $10,000!!! Needless to say we wanted a second opinion and that's where Tim and his company, General Air Conditioning, come in. He was here the same day we called and did a thorough check of our units. He charged not even a quarter of what the other company quoted us and was super nice on top of that! Great guy and great company! We highly recommend General Air Conditioning and will definitely be using them again in the future! read more

On Friday afternoon 5/7/21 a General Air Conditioning van with license number beginning FW nearly ran me off the road near i10 at the Crossroads exit by speeding from behind me and nearly crashing into my car as I single to make a land change and right turn. The van was following dangerously close, speeding, and making an illegal lane change. I will not do business with this company and I want the owner to know how his employees actions are negatively impacting his brand. read more

A/C issues always make me nervous as a homeowner because so many companies try and take advantage of people. After calling multiple places recommend by friends/family they all had either rude receptionists or outrageous service calls. So I decided to check yelp and found these guys! I called in the morning and the receptionist who answered was friendly and accommodating. They have the best service call price in town!! She was able to schedule me an appt the same day! Josh, our tech, showed up on time and was the best! He was able to talk my husband and I thru everything he was doing and was very informative. We both felt at ease knowing we were in good hands. We couldn't be happier! Their 5 yelp stars are definitely a true representation of their commitment to quality. We have already placed Josh's business card in our "important numbers" file! We will be using them for any future needs! read more

This company is excellent! The owner Tim responds to your call or email right away. The technicians are professional, efficient, and on time. There is excellent teamwork among the crew. This was our second time working with General Air Conditioning. I called and asked, that someone from another com have already diagnosed my AC and has proved to me that I need to replace the circuit board, I asked the manager of General Air conditioning can you tell me how much you will charge to replace my already diagnosed circuit board? I was told no, we have to come in and charge you for diagnosing then find out what is the problem and tell you how much it cost. Bad com. and dishonest com. never use them in future. read more

The first experience I had was great. The tech was very professional and answered all my questions. I signed up for a maintenance contract. While the tech was there, I asked about replacing the concrete slab under the AC unit and fixing the hole in the exterior of my home the lineset went through. I was told to place a slab, the system would have to be evacuated, then the unit lifted, and finally refilled. I called and asked for service. Two men came and looked at the job. Three men came a few days later with a slab and physically lifted the unit and horsed another slab under it. When I asked about the hole, they said to just fill it with caulk, they weren't told about the hole, they didn't have the right tools, they had the wrong truck, basically, they weren't interested. The cost for what was done was a fraction of what the original tech estimated, but money wasn't the problem. I needed the work done correctly and completely. That didn't happen. read more

On July 5th I called at 7am because my a/c had gone out overnight and the other guys (friends of Bugs and Daffy One hour AC) could not get to me. Tim answered the phone and scheduled me for 3pm. At 12:30 he calls back and says his tech got done early at another job and could come now, points for early arrival. The tech that showed up at 1pm worked and worked to discover the problem to no avail, by 7pm it was obvious he was in way over his head, in comes the owner Tim, both stay at my home until 10pm to make sure my ac is operational for the night. They could not solve the multiple problems so created bypasses and said they would be back tomorrow. I advised I could not be there before 5, no problems for them...bonus points. They were there promptly, worked until 8pm to get it all done and repaired correctly. They were courteous and it was interesting to watch as Tim taught his tech as he went on. This is a professional and courteous outfit, and they also care about the customer experience and will sacrifice for the customer and you rarely see that anymore. I would give more stars if I could. Thanks Tim and Nathan for a job well done and all the effort you put forth to make sure I was happy. read more
