One AC company told me both of my systems in this 2 year old house had to be replaced to the tune of $60 thousand. They evaluated and said it didn't need to be replaced. Shortly after moving in, the ceiling flooded due to the AC pan. They responded immediately even though I wasn't a client. They also figured out the hospital grade filtration system that had been uninstalled by the prior owners (It had been installed backwards)

They are a third generation company-from grandpa to dad to Ryan, now being the owner of the company. Reference checks were stellar! On my first call, they answered all my questions and never minded my questions. Their quote is so thorough! You know exactly what you are getting. They give you options to pay, including a discount if you pay with a check, cashiers check On the date of installation, they arrived on time, and protected the flooring. Employee 1 arrived and began working on the outside. Employee 2 arrived and began working on the inside unit. Ryan, the owner, arrived with the equipment and I was able to take photos of the new equipment and see the old equipment out. He stepped away and his two employees continued working. The owner returned and was doing the finishing things. Installation was completed as projected. Overall, a great experience. Very happy. I wouldn't go elsewhere. Get the AC replaced and move on with your life! If I ever talk to Ryan again it will because I'm bringing him more business or it's time for our annual check up. :)

I was struck with a permanent physical disability since buying our new house so money was really tight. However for various reasons it appeared that in fact both the in side and out side unit had completely failed. We verified with three other AC companies. Our families recommended C&J as an honest straight forward company that stood behind their work. They may not be cheap, but what they install works . . . period. If it doesn't the will getting working. We had them replace that system with a 14 SEER twelve years ago and we follow up with an annual contract to make sure thing keep running since we both have to stay home now that the Wife is retired and I'm still . . . well. Anyway. C&J may not be a big name, but they are honest, they are local and they have been here for quite a while.

They are not the most affordable, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. I had my 13+ year old HVAC finally die on me about a month ago during the 100°+ sweltering days. I called them and within 2 hours the technician came out to diagnose the problem, discovered it was time to replace the system, but temporarily fixed it until we could agree on price, model & install date. 2 weeks later, the city permit was pulled, they had their electrician & plumber out, and the entire system was replaced. Exactly on time, as expected & friendly. They laid mats down while walking inside to not get dirt anywhere on my floors, they wore masks, informed me of exactly what to expect, who to expect on site, etc. Booth was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through all the options for systems, design, pricing, etc. I cannot recommend them enough!!

For the first time while living in this house, I slept with an outside door open. When I woke up this morning, I did a quick Yelp search for AC service in my neighborhood. Quan Air was the the highest rated and all the reviews pointed out their professionalism. I emailed from the website, then called. I know that's a lot for 7:30 am, but it's humid in SATX and I couldn't stand feeling awful for another night or two. Amber called me back a few minutes later and managed to get us on the schedule today. Andy showed up about 20 minutes earlier than the window, but I'm fine with it because it's 82° with 72% humidity at 11 am. Andy pointed out some maintenance things, this is my first air conditioner. It was helpful to learn all the things to do that will save us money and keep our AC running. He also replaced a motor, rinsed our AC vents, and checked the condensation pans in the attic. He helped me install the replacement filters I found in my closet. Thanks a million for saving us from the humidity.

The nice lady at the office was kind enough to try to find me someone to come this afternoon or tomorrow. She found someone to come between 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Called me back about 1:30 hours after my original call, to inform me someone is on the way, who came another 1:30 hours later. Jim Smith (Jim Rodela, as stated on the invoice), first gave me a flat rate of $300. When I said it was too much for such a small job, he said, he has to get the actual price from the van. Then he came back with a price of $168. I tried calling their office and it was after 5:00 PM, past their office hours. So, I asked Jim to connect me to their office and when I spoke with Kevin Bunner, the manager, he explained to me that a trip charge of $45 plus an hourly charge of $90, (minimum half-an-hour) will be charged. Jim ran the snake and cleared the clog in 17 minutes. So at the end of the day, they did a good job, but at a price less than originally quoted.

I've been a customer of Comfort-Air Engineering & Primo Plumbing for over five years, but my recent…read moreexperience has been unacceptable. The company double-billed me for the same AC service, an invoice I had already paid, and has ignored three months of my calls and emails seeking clarification about the second charge. I continue to receive automated invoices without any explanation of the duplicate billing or the work supposedly performed. Even worse, an employee reached out to me in an email, falsely claiming that I was trying to hold them "financially responsible" for things outside of their control simply because I asked a question about the work performed. This was especially troubling since the dispatcher had already confirmed it was the same issue being repaired a second time. Neither management nor the owner (who had been personally introduced to me) has ever responded. This company's unprofessionalism, billing errors, and disregard for customers are appalling. Avoid this company at all costs. I am now evaluating whether to escalate this matter to consumer protection agencies to prevent others from being treated the same way. It's sad to see a business I've supported for years fail to provide simple explanations and treat loyal customers this poorly. All trust has been lost. Response to the Company's response: I appreciate the company's reply, but it unfortunately confirms the very issue I described. For three months, I asked for clarification on why I was billed twice for the same unresolved problem, a matter your own dispatcher acknowledged was the same service being revisited, not a new one. That's why I reached out for clarification, as anyone would after receiving a second bill by surprise that was said to be for the same work. The repair was only completed successfully on the second visit, which is when payment should reasonably apply. The problem has since been resolved with no further issues, confirming that the first visit was not a completed job, something also acknowledged by the dispatcher. Despite repeated outreach, no one ever explained this or provided details of what was done on that second visit; I only received another invoice. After being ignored for months, I ultimately paid the second bill under threat of collections, not because the situation was ever clarified. The owner's follow-up came only after I posted this review, and even then, my questions about billing and communication were not addressed. I've been a customer for over five years and have always paid promptly once a repair was completed. My only request was transparency. It's disappointing that instead of acknowledging that, the company continues to deflect responsibility rather than address the lack of communication and customer care that led to this situation. I'm not looking to escalate this any further; I simply wanted the company to understand how this came across from a long-time customer's perspective. I genuinely hope you take this as constructive feedback. In my experience, clear communication and follow-through make all the difference in maintaining trust and long-term relationships. Disacknowledgement only leads to a loss of trust, and in this case, confirms it.
