Staff was super nice and helpful. Especially Colin, loved his energy and passion for the ship. Also Nicole's energy was so bubbly and fun, made it 100 times more fun to be on the ship. They crew did a nice job off balancing history and fun as well. I would 100% do again. read more

Got to tour the Nā Pali Coast by boat! We saw spinner dolphins, a mommy monk seal and her pup, waterfalls, sea caves, film lowe snorkeled with sharks (harmless sharks of course ;)) and had lunch on the boat. The ride is very bumpy but overall the tour was awesome and the guides were great too.. they were very friendly and knowledgeable! read more

We had an excellent time on the Nepali coast morning tour we had the chance to see dolphins and were lucky enough to see some humpback whales with their babies. Would recommend this charter tour to anyone. Staff was very attentive and respectful in their guidance along the way read more

Best money spent in Kauai! Book this now and don't wait! You will see, learn, and experience more in an day than you can even imagine. If I could go back, I'd do it at the front end of our trip. We learned so much on it about history, myth and the lay of the land and make all experiences to follow more meaningful. We did the raft trip, which is not for the unadventurous, but well worth it for our cowboy, hang on and soak it all in mentality. The catamaran would be special too and the service and crew are top notch. read more

Democrats beware... My girlfriend and I took the morning excursion today, helmed by Captain Chris, to view marine wildlife and do some snorkeling as the capstone to our 6 day Kauai trip. Chris and his crew are very friendly and capable, with Chris providing constant commentary and jokes over the boat intercom. However he couldn't help himself from injecting his politics into our tour when, upon viewing some surfacing whales, quipped "these whales were born in Hawaii, unlike one of our past presidents, but I don't want to be politically incorrect..." My jaw hit the deck, as suddenly this boat tour was a partisan activity. To be clear...escaping our highly poisonous political atmosphere was *one of my main goals* for this trip, and here we had our otherwise gregarious boat captain pushing his pig-ignorant and racist Obama birtherism upon the normally-magical moment of my first whale viewing. It put a cloud over the rest of the experience for me, and every time he got back on the intercom I winced, wondering what right wing garbage may come next. He mostly restrained himself, but did later lament needing to say "happy holidays, because saying Merry Xmas isn't politically correct I guess." Blue Dolphin does a great job across the board, but I won't willingly submit to any such activity if it includes enduring political quips from the staff. I found it highly offensive, contrary to the spirit of the activity, and just a stupid thing to do in polarized America 2018. Go with another tour operator if you can. read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful captain Chad and the company is. They are accommodating and more importantly, they are big on safety. We've had 2 adventures with captain Chad and they've been marvelous. Our first trip was to the Na Pali: our 2nd trip was whale watching. Both adventures were spectacular. The crew treats you like royalty and it's genuine. Captain Chad is all about safety and he has an amazing eye when it comes to spotting marine life as well as amazing intuition and experience when it comes to the sudden shift of the ocean. He also has great taste in music and karaoke. Which ever excursion you pick you will not be disappointed. read more

Can not recommend high enough. Great trip!! I hope the names are right: Captain Koa, and crew Amber and Jose. Super attentive. Walked around serving drinks, taking pictures, talking to guests. Without being 'too much', they were always right there when you wanted anything. We did the 2 hour sunset/whale watch. We saw a lot of whales, and learned a lot about them and the ocean. Probably the biggest surprise was the food!! I thought 'snacks' and a mai tai. It started with mai tais handed out by the crew. Then they handed out pretzels and candy. Anyone without a mai tai desire was brought beer, wine, soda, or water. Then the surprise. Drinks never stopped. And the real food came out. Great chicken wings, cut up vegetables, and several types of wraps (yes vegetarian was on option), and probably 5 kinds of desserts. To all my friends who will travel to Kauai. I will kindly recommend this company. read more

Just wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to the awesome crew!! We went out on Sunday and had Captain Cole, Ben, Luke and Ruby and they were all AMAZING and so helpful! BUT I just want give a lil extra shoutout to RUBY she was the BEST!!! Me and the girls I was with all got sea sick and she was so amazingly helpful!! she was better than your best friend when you're drunk at a party lol She held our hair for us, was so supportive and was coaching us while we're letting everything out, and she had napkins and water ready before we even turned back around! She was just AMAZING! The whole crew was! Thank you for such a great day!!! Highly recommend Blue dolphin and their awesome crew!!!! read more

My husband and I paid for the Napali Sunset Coast Tour. The crew and staff were very helpful and friendly but my qualm is that no one prepared us for the terrible motion sickness. Both my husband and I got very seasick and vomited, about 8 people more were sick and vomiting as well. I repeat. DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR IF YOU GET ANY MOTION SICKNESS. I couldn't even enjoy the tour because I was sick and laying down the whole time. read more

We booked the sunset snorkel/dinner cruise for 7.4.22. Our Captain, Nate, and crew, Kai, Surgi and Kon, exceeded expectations. They were all extremely friendly, helpful and made everyone feel like O'Hana. Due to the high winds, we were unable to snorkel. Instead they surprised us with an extended trip to the end of the Napoli coast. Dinner was served and very good. The drinks kept coming. It was wonderful. When we got to the port, another surprise -- a firework show for us, put on by the owners. Thank you all for an unforgettable day. read more

What an amazing experience. Wow wow wow. Captain Joes team took care of us so well. My family and I recently went on the Deluxe Morning Na Pali Snorkel/Scuba Tour 8am. This was an incredible experience! We saw turtles, whales throughout the day and a massive group of 80 dolphins hunting in attack formation. A few dolphins even came and swam along with us at the bow of the boat. WARNING: if you get seasick, I would only recommend taking this tour during the summer months. Our tour was on Dec 28th, which is right smack in the middle of high surf/high trade winds. The wives were HUGE and half of the boat was nauseous/got sea sick as soon as we turned into the waves. Some were able to rally and enjoy the awesomeness that was the Na Pali Coast tour, but for most they were down and out. The crew is experienced and did an outstanding job. The captain safely navigated us through the waves while the other 2 crew members served breakfast/lunch/drinks, took care of sick passengers and made sure everyone was safe at all times. Completely disappointing. We showed up for a Napali coast tour. There had been a big storm so we were understanding when they shared the boat could not go up the coast. It was the complete disrespect of not calling anyone to tell us the change in itinerary (it was not a decision made that morning) and having us drive a half hour to the office, fill out the waivers and WASTE 45 minutes of our morning just standing there before they told us. Completely unprofessional. I do not recommend this company in any way. The customer comes last, they just wanted to try and salvage the trip financially for themselves. read more

Had a great time on the sunset dinner cruise to Na'Pali. Crew was fantastic and were super knowledgeable and helpful. Very impressed with COVID protocols. Food and drink was surprisingly delicious for a boat tour. Highly recommend, we will be back next time! read more

My girlfriend and I take a short trip to Kauai every year to recharge (kid/hubby free) and this year we decided to do a boat tour of the Napali. Blue Dolphin Charters did not disappoint. If you're on the fence about it- dont be- it's worth every penny! We originally booked the 7hr snorkel tour to Niihau but due to water conditions we had to do the 5.5 hr Napali snorkel tour instead. IMO- the 5.5 hr one was a blessing bc as much I loved every minute, it is a long time to be on a boat. We snorkeled and saw so many beautiful fish and sea life. As we were headed to the Napali coast we saw a pod of spinner dolphins:) Captain Joe was amazing. So courteous so knowledgeable and super patient with everyone on the boat. The entire crew could not have been more polite and personable. Each crew member took time to talk story with each and every guest. Amazing. Always asking if you want pictures, taking our rubbish, answering any and all questions. Truly the best. We live on Oahu so we are blessed with Aloha year round but these guys are another level! They work hard so be sure to take of them if you enjoyed your ride- which I promise you will. Left a lasting impression and started our long weekend off in the best way! read more

Wish I could give it more stars. My wife was settled to take another tour and I look up on yelp and found Blue Dolphin Charters. We also looked at the website and found exactly what we wanted, the Na Pali coast tour. We booked online before we left home, about a week before. After booking, we got confirmation by email and phone calls several times to verify times and food choices we made online when we booked. Don't wait, this is a great excursion and the fills up fast. We read the reviews and decided this was the tour we needed to take and not the others. The zodiac raft is exciting and awesome, but not for everyone. We are glad this is what we did. Amber, the captain and Bradley (his first day working for Blue Dolphin Charters) were awesome. Bradley, has been captain on other catamaran boats and got a little time behind the controls to learn this style of vessel. They both had very cool stories and history knowledge they studied to share with from what they have learned. We felt very safe and taken care of by them. We saw spinner dolphins too, which was so cool. read more

A lot of the tours in the area were sold out, so I started calling them directly. We wanted to do a sunset Whale Watch. I called Blue Dolphin and right away she said I got lucky, they just had a couple cancel. We booked and showed up for the tour. Captain Joe was amazing!!! The rest of the Crew, especially the handsome Nate was incredible as well. Very engaging, fun and our drinks were stiff and never empty! We saw a TOOOOON of whales right out of the gate. Even though the water was a little choppy they kept us informed the whole time. We got to see whales that approached the boat. The real treat was as the evening carried on, right before sunset the Dolphins were all around the boat jumping and playing, we had a beautiful champagne toast at Sunset as dolphins were jumping and playing. It really doesn't get anymore magical then that. Truly a great tour. I loved the Crew and the views and what we saw were memories for a lifetime! read more

I wanna give them,10 stars but we have only 5 stars. The crews on the boat work amazingly good. They litterally kept moving to check people's safety and comfort. You know some people just in and out, up and down all the time but every single moment, they come to people to help them up or downstairs and hold thier drinks and bags so they use two hands to hold stair bar. Little girl was carried by crew for safety when high wave carry the boat sky to ground. Always have smile on their face and the captain catched the spot where dolphines hang out so we all got to see dolphine! It was bad weather so captain did his best to show the most as much he can. read more

So the weather was bad on the north coast so the captain made decision to go to the south. We were offered either a refund or a trip to the south shore and told we would spend more time snorkeling and go to some secluded beaches. That did not happen. The captain took us right out front of the resorts, which is were we were staying and I had already been snorkeling there. We didn't even go to a secluded spot. I understand that weather permitting not to go to Napali, but to go right in front of the resorts is ludicrous considering the original tour is for a secluded trip. Also, I paid for a 5.5 hour morning tour. The boat launched at 8:30am and we were back at 12noon. That is only 4 hours. The crew was friendly and accommodating; however, going in front of the resorts and the trip only lasting 3.5 hours is not worth the money that was paid. Why we weren't offered a discount is besides me. I'm not happy with Blue Dolphin Charters, and I will not recommend them. If you book with them and they tell you they are not going to Napali and are staying on the south end of island, get your money back right away. read more

With our full face snorkeling masks rented from Kauai Snorkel, (the boat carries full Snorkel gear included in the price) my group set out up the Na Pali coast to dive and Snorkel. The crew was fabulous! They chatted with us, carried our food and drinks, and frequently came around to fill our water cups (a continental breakfast full of fresh fruit and a cinnamon bun was offered on the cruise to the snorkeling spot, and a deli buffet lunch was set out on the ride back to shore). The crew appeared to fully enjoy their jobs, telling interesting and witty stories, stopping to spend individual time with us. Safety was a priority, and for all the casual and fun chatter, when it was time to get serious, the crew made sure we were all listening and on track. Once in the water, it was wonderful to see the variety of fish. I was a bit intimidated at first by the size of some of the fish ( some about a foot long), but I pushed on and had a wonderful, relaxing time. I stayed in the water until I was told it really was time to climb back aboard. We didn't swim with turtles, but spotted a couple in the distance. Surprisingly, we did see common bottle nosed dolphins. I had expected to only see spinner dolphins (and we saw many of those). We also saw several waterfalls, and backed into one so folks who wanted to cool off could gather on the bow for a "shower". It was well worth the trip. The crew made it fun and interesting; the scenery made it beautiful. I would take the tour again. read more

We shopped around quite a bit before deciding on using Blue Dolphin for a trip down the Na Pali coast. We are so glad we decided to go with Blue Dolphin!!! Captain Joe, Ruby, and Elee (super sorry if I didn't get that last name right) were truly amazing! The boat was awesome! The entire crew worked together so well to make sure we had an amazing time. Captain Joe helped us learn a lot about the island while we traveled while always keeping us informed about what was coming. Even when things got bouncy, we knew what to expect and how to stay safe. They definitely worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time and felt safe. We had a great breakfast and lunch on board as well as snacks and great drinks! The entire crew was attentive in making sure we were okay and having a great time. Great music. Great information. Great experience all set in good humor and fun while emphasizing our safety. We really enjoyed the Na Pali sunset cruise. Staff service was awesome the whole trip.

We had a great time with Captain Danny and the crew. They were all really easy to talk to and were very attentive. Safety instructions were clear and precise. The buffet dinner had everything you would want. Good alcohol/soda selections and they kept us hydrated with plenty of water. The cruise itself was a perfect day so the pictures of the napali coast was just breathtaking. We arrived back at the port entry when the sun went down but the they turned the boat around so that we could face the sunset before docking. A perfect day on the water, lots to see and take photos of. Would do again! read more

We joined the Napali Raft Snorkel Tour. It was much more intense than what we thought (with the wave and speed of the boat, you need to grab lope and balance whole time while it's driving), but we enjoyed the beautiful view and very caring and knowledgeable stuff members: Amber and Rob. They were so nice and made our trip fun and comfortable. Thank you both! read more

Kelly, Koa and Captain Chad took great care of us. Such a fun trip. Captain Chad told us a lot of history and stopped the boat to show us landmarks. My family absolutely loved this excursion! Captain Nate, crewmembers Naya, Zo, and CJ were so awesome and accommodating. These were the nicest locals we encountered during our time in Kauai. The crewmembers really were there for our betterment - they offered water throughout the 6 hour trip, they took our trash away, served us quickly, checked on our well-being so many times, engaged with us and tended to our every need. You can take fish food on this tour and not be pestered about it. We were able to have many drinks and were able to snorkel for an hour right in the beginning. They covered every safety precaution at the beginning so that no injuries should happen while walking aboard the vessel and walking up and down the stairs. For breakfast we had cinnamon rolls and for lunch we ate a Turkey wrap. The weather was very nice and we viewed the whole NaPali coast which was breathtaking.. This trip was very fun, I wish there was more snorkeling or even snorkeling at different reef locations but overall I would take the trip again. Out of the six hours you're on the water, only one is spent snorkeling... the rest is a boat ride. read more

Great company, beautiful trip! I'll start by saying I found out that I do get seasick. We did the sunset cruise on the Na Pali Coast and it was beautiful! However, it was a windy day and the last half hour on the way to the turn around point was fairly choppy. The captain (Roy i think?) warned us before leaving and he did his best to keep the ride smooth. I was fine until right at the end when my stomach gave up. That's when the crew stepped up and was awesome. Kai and a girl, who's name escapes me (Chloe?) were great. They got me water, ice chips, made me a "dark and stormy" and I was good to go in about 10 minutes. A couple other people got a bit green in the face and the crew was very attentive to them. Overall we saw whales in the distance, took TONS of pics of the coast, and learned some great info about the coast. The captain was knowledgable and had the laid back Hawaiian vibe. One suggestion is the speakers need to be louder of placed further back. Hard to hear the captain in the back seats of the boat. But, not a big deal. Tips: If you are prone to seasick take ginger and do what you need to do if it's windy or stormy. The first half is the choppy section with the last 1/4 of the first half being the worse. Once you pass that and they turn around with the sail up it's great. Bring sunscreen. The sun is very sneaky on the water. Talk to the crew. Kai had some cool stories of Kauai and they were all so friendly and willing to help. Lastly, if you are feeling sick get a Dark and Stormy from the bar and sit on the bottom level by the engines (seems to be the smoothest). read more

The Napali Sunset Dinner Cruise was unforgettable and the highlight of our vacation. The crew: Captain Evan, Kai and Billy, were exceptional. They were very knowledgeable regarding the island and shared their information with the guests. They were constantly engaging and entertaining, which made the cruise extremely enjoyable. We were entertained by whales and spinner dolphins along with the amazing coastal views. The dinner was very good, and consisted of kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, rice and salad. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were included and available throughout the cruise. At sunset we had a champagne toast, which was a perfect end to a wonderful afternoon. read more
