It was great. Seas were rough, but Captain J Sea , and crew Ethan Maddie Pa'a Made for an amazing day We felt safe & had a roller coaster ride The crew is super attentive, kind, and fun!

1,000,000 / 5 if that ranking is even allowed (need to check the Yelp terms and conditions) Captain Elia, Lily, Darren, and Evan couldn't have been better crew members during our excursion. Everything from stopping each time we saw a single dolphin, seeing a mother whale and her calf, to Darren making chicken sounds as loud as legally possible, it was by far and away the most unbelievable experience we could have had. As mentioned with every other 5 star review above and below, you couldn't paint better scenery along the Na Pali coast line, and getting within inches of schools of fish while snorkeling was surreal. The food was delicious and the drinks being served were excellent. This whole beautiful package was wrapped in a bow of spoken history of each significant location as told by Captain Elia. This was my first time even visiting the island and this is the main reason I am planning on returning, hopefully to the same crew, the same hospitality, food, and chicken sounds. My husband and I did not have a great time, but not because the fault of the crew, but because we had really bad motion sickness! Along the way the ride was pretty smooth. Our captain, Kai, was giving all sorts of interesting facts about the island and coastline. My husband and I were good until we reached the Napali coast and the waves got too choppy for us. I guess we are especially prone to motion sickness even after taking Dramamine. The coast itself was beautiful. It was a nice clear day and we were able to see the ridges on the Napali coast. We were good long enough to take some pictures and then we got really sick. I think we made the mistake of sitting on the top of the boat rather than the bottom. We had booked the dinner cruise, but unfortunately were not able to keep anything down. We also missed the champagne toast. One crew member noticed how much we're struggling and made sure to keep a close eye on us. He offered us water and ice many times to help keep us hydrated. He even packed us a plate so we can take our dinner home. I think his name was Vayder. He was outstanding. We didn't have the best time, but a glass half full type of person. We saw the beautiful coastline and the crew was great (Kai, Vayder, and Collin). The Napali coast is not something you will see very often, so book the tour! Perhaps be a little more prepared for any motion sickness if are sensitive to it.

Blue Dolphin Charters was the highlight of my sisters's birthday trip! We did the 5 hr snorkel raft tour and all I can say is how magical this experience was. Shout out to Captain Ruby and Lily.. they were top notch and made sure to take care of all our needs! Captain Ruby kept taking breaks to make sure we all felt comfortable and safe on our trip up there and Lily was our personal photographer / Ruby's right hand woman. Keep doing your thing ladies, you guys made our trip to the beautiful garden island of Kauai

5/5 - Absolutely unforgettable Na Pali experience We went out with Blue Dolphin Charters and it was hands down one of the best experiences of our entire Kauai trip. From the moment we boarded, everything felt organized, safe, and well-run. The crew was amazing--super friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. They made the whole trip feel relaxed and fun and special The scenery is honestly unreal. Seeing the Na Pali Coast from the water is something you just can't compare to anything else--it literally feels like a movie. We were especially hoping for wildlife, and we got lucky--dolphins turtles and one whale! What I loved most is that it wasn't a party boat vibe at all. It was more about the experience, the views, the snorkeling If you're on the fence--DO IT. This is one of those bucket-list experiences that actually lives up to the hype.

We had a wonderful snorkeling trip and saw spinner dolphins. The views of the Napali Coast are stunning. Shout out to a wonderful crew. Captain J Sea was welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Maddie, Pa'a and Ethan were watchful, helpful and fun to be with. They genuinely enjoy their work, are people oriented and enjoy working with each other

Absolutely A1 amazing experience with the charming and skilled crew led by a phenomenal female Capt J-Sea with Zeke, Pa'a, & Kelani!! Superb snorkeling site, two pods of spinner dolphins, attentive crew for all travelers, and clear expectations about Mother Nature as we made it all the way to a summer turnaround in the winter!! We did the sunset cruise and we loved it! We got to see the mountains and enjoyed a good meal as well. Drinks were complimentary. My wife and I seeked out adventure whenever we could find the chance- be careful, you will get soaked!!! We did not see any dolphins but did see plenty of good views!! Beautiful sunset with your loved one makes this very romantical.

We really enjoyed this tour. It may be one of the best of my life. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen and the crew on the boat was fantastic. Noah was all over helping everyone he saw struggling and getting everyone drinks or carrying someone's lunch up the stairs to make sure they were safe. Captain Joe was very informative about the history of the area and you felt safe with him at the helm. Dereyn and Jordon were so funny and helpful. We saw many dolphins and quite a few had babies with them. The snorkeling was great. And the Napaliu coast was a treasure to see, so beautiful. The boat was comfortable to ride in, clean, and had regular bathrooms. The food they served you and the drinks were great. I would recommend this 100% of you want a comfortable ride to the most beautiful place in the world.

For our work team bonding we decided to check out the Nāpali coast & we had a blast! our captain was Ruby and Jordan was our crew member. it was such an amazing experience & they made it so fun and eventful. We saw spinner dolphins, tons of turtles & a bunch of fish while snorkeling. Luckily the weather today was beautiful so we were able to go into the sea caves as well! We had an amazing time doing the 5 hour Napoli coast zodiac tour! Ruby was our captain and Lily our crew!! They truly made it magical. From all the historical knowledge, to taking pictures, the great playlist Ruby had, it was the best way to begin our first trip to Kauai. We saw a rainbow, a mega pod of dolphins, smaller dolphin pods, went in and out of sea caves! Just stunning! And on our way back the ocean was getting rough but Ruby navigated it with ease and stopped several times so we could stand and stretch! I would 100% do this again! And I'm prone to seasickness but found some natural patches that worked amazingly well! No seasickness for this woman. By far, the highlight of our trip in Kauai!

We decided to take the rafting tour of the napaali coast. And wow it did not disappoint. Our tour guides Kai and Jordan were amazing and we felt comfortable with Kai's driving abilities the entire time. We are not physically fit but thought we would be fine on this tour- Read the warnings - and listen! Although we were exhausted and did nothing else the rest of the day- it was a beautiful tour but it was extremely hard on our bodies and would listen better next time! But we did it and got to go inside sea caves!

Of the 6-8 adventures and activities we did on Kauai, including some free hiking and snorkeling, the Blue Dolphin catamaran event was one of the best values. J-Sea, Lily, Cole and Zeke worked as a very effective team, and they all seemed to enjoy their work. I felt they were well qualified and kept everyone safe. They observe safety as a top priority so the briefing was quick and effective. We took our shoes off before boarding so most people were bare feet. They don't allow open toe shoes, so don't wear sandals on board. Breakfast and lunch was not unlimited but I think adequate for the type of adventure; most people are focused on sightseeing, snorkeling and bouncing with the waves on the way back (to the point of discomfort). The staff are very attentive, enthusiastic and sincerely working above and beyond. They circulate among the customers, stopping to chat with each of us and ask us how we are doing, handing out food, collecting our trash, and generally hovering over us when the ride is bouncy to catch us if we fall.

What a fun adventure for the whole family! Blue Dolphin Charters did not disappoint! Although nobody can predict weather conditions the crew made the absolute best game plan! The snorkel spot that was chosen was our favorite part! My 4 year old was really cared after by the crew. They really paid great attention to all her needs. From a keiki snorkel that fit just right to even a slide to go down at the rear of the boat. Not to forget unlimited juice and cookies! Every time we moved about the boat a crew member was there with an xtra hand. Shoot out to NICOLE & JORDEN! They were the best! Super personable, attentive and made the whole trip that much more fun! 10/10 must do! read more

My family of 3 went on the 5.5 hour snorkel and Napali coast tour today led by Captain J-Sea and had an awesome experience! The staff were extremely knowledgeable and super engaged. We snorkeled about 15 min in from the start and saw colorful fish and two sea turtles. From the boat we saw whales and two dolphin pods - the second swam with the boat for a while which was incredible. I highly recommend booking a tour with Blue Dolphin. read more

This was the highlight of our trip. We had two captains on the boat. Luke and Naya. Luke really prepped us all the way about the trip, including water conditions, how to sit without getting sore the next day. Maya was of course prettier than Luke. She was always checking on the riders during the trip to make sure we weren't getting sick, our hands weren't sore from the rope, and not stressed out. She is a local of the island and knew a lot about everything. She kept asking me why I was looking sore, uncomfortable and perturbed and I explained I'm always like that! :-) I had a salad and it was really large and filling. Lots of water and soda provided. read more

Maddie, Jordan and Captain JC made this trip so much fun for our family. We had an amazing time on the sunset sail. My kids, 8 and 11, enjoyed the history of the island that captain JC shared. Loved loved loved this! We took a sunset dinner cruise to the Na'Pali Coast. It was so beautiful. The staff was super friendly and they really made a point of connecting with everyone. They talked to my whole family, and learned our names. It was very warm and inviting. We went in June of 2024. We had friends that visited in February and said that they got really sick on their cruise. I don't know if they went with the same company but my understanding is that the waters are more choppy in the winter. We did buy dramamine to prepare for the trip and we all took it about an hour before the boat ride started. We all did fine but there were two gentlemen on our cruise that did not fare so well. There were some waves and it was windy. One woman on our boat had false eyelashes on and it was so windy that she was in danger of her lashes flying off. There was a lot of laughter about how strong the wind was. Lots of people got wet. We managed to stay mostly dry, it just depends on where you sit on the boat and the wind. J-Sea was our captain and the other two people assisting were Naya and OJ. All of them were so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this crew! I don't know about other crews but they were very good. J-Sea happened to know the folks who gave us surfing lessons which shows that its a small world and she highly recommended them. That was a fun connection. read more

Our crew was phenomenal. Captain Joe, Duff, and Kaiaana kept us entertained, informed, and safe on our 5 hour journey. We also had to take advantage of the waterfall shower once we hit Nā Pali. A terrible experience. Within the first 15 minutes of a 5 1/2 hour trip, my wife explained very clearly she was sick and would like to return. She even said that we would be happy to pay for a boat to come out and retrieve her, so as not to inconvenience all the other patrons. The captain was completely irresponsible and said that nothing could be done because the trip had already been started. My wife had to be hospitalized to the tune of over $4,000, and the experience had a significant impact on the remaining three days of our trip. She was completely incapacitated for five hours. A horrible experience. I asked for a refund of two tickets because we were not able to take advantage of the trip whatsoever, and they have denied it and said in a response to our credit card company, that services were provided. They obviously are money driven, but do not care near enough about the quality of the experience for the patron, or their health. I would not recommend this company, or their charter. read more

We had an amazing experience with Blue Dolphin Charters. Captain Kai and crew, Ruby and Jordan were amazing! Very entertaining and Ruby and Jordan worked nonstop to ensure we had all the drinks we wanted and were comfortable throughout the tour. The food was also excellent! We were fortunate that the weather was stellar and the views and overall experience were more than amazing! I appreciate all the information Captain Kai shared throughout the voyage. BLUE DOLPHIN CHARTERS -- SUNSET DINNER CRUISE Fabulous tour! Captain Cole was not only an excellent sea captain, but entertaining as well! Enjoyed the information he gave us about all the sights we saw and the Hawaiian history and legends behind them! Her kept us laughing, as well. Entire staff (shout out to Luke, Kai and Jojo!) was fabulous. Helpful in every way. Answered any questions you had. We're very friendly and professional! Dinner at sunset was very tasty - pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, rice, Caesar salad and pineapple slices. Then some very tasty cookies for dessert! Stopped at sunset to watch the sun go down with a glass of champagne! Met some lovely people on board, too! Had lots of laughs (thanks to the lovely young ladies from Belgium who sat at the front of the bow and got SOAKED!), and a lovely couple who were going to be married the next week in Kona! Such an incredible experience!!! Went with a group of 8 for my 30th bday. Was on Captain J. Sea's boat, along with her amazing crew Nicole, Charli, and Zeke! They provided some of the best hospitality I've experienced in a while! You could tell they absolutely love what they do and, as a result, set such a great vibe for the tour. 11/10 recommend! (I had originally booked another company, but they kept cancelling and rescheduling, which was really stressful. Blue Dolphin was the total opposite; the office was so helpful in the booking process and made it really easy!) read more

After looking at pretty much every tour in Hawaii, I'm so happy we went with Blue Dolphin. We did the Napali sunset dinner cruise and it was amazing! The highlight was the crew who took care of us. They were so kind and attentive, it made the experience very pleasant. They really take care of you from getting sea sick (which we did, which I usually don't feel sea sick but those are some choppy waters) to feeding us a yummy meal. The views are stunning and unreal. Once we reach the napali coast, you turn back around so it's good to take advantage of the views and photos as you're approaching. The sunset back to the port was stunning as well. We saw dolphins, goats on the edge of the cliff, and the beautiful mountains. I would recommend this tour and I would definitely go back and do it again. read more

Blue Dolphin was our family's favorite experience in Kauai. You couldn't be in better hands--their hospitality was the best on the island. Safety was the first priority but they made the whole boat ride fun! The crew (Capt. Elia, Jayce and Dylan) were kind, funny, and knowledgeable, even giving us recommendations for other beaches to visit and things to do. Jade was also incredibly helpful and kind in making our booking and choosing the right adventure for our family. We snorkeled, watched dolphins and whales up close, and saw the entire Na Pali coast including some mountains, waterfalls, caves, and beaches! Breakfast and lunch were excellent--absolutely no complaints! Food and drinks were plentiful and the crew was hasty with serving and making sure each family was well taken care of. We recommend bringing a change of clothes for after the snorkeling part of the adventure so you be comfortable the rest of the ride. Mahalo! read more

Our family party of 10 had a great and enjoyable experience with this charter going to the Na'Pali Coast for a boat tour and snorkel. Lots is adventure on this ride. First things first: meet n greet the captain with a safety preview before even boarding the boat. Then walking up to the boat with another safety briefing on the boat itself especially if your forward on the bow and gunwale. Life vests are provided as needed. Continental breakfast included along with a lunch. Open bar for those 21 years old and older. Comfortable seating on the entire boat with excellent views from any part of the boat. Awesome crew that makes your stay both relaxing and no stress with a high priority of safety for everyone. All the necessary gear was provided for the one hour snorkeling experience. What better way This tour was a great culmination to our vacation in Hawaii on the last day before flying out. The views and the experience were fantastic! It started off by a leisurely tour around the southwest corner of the island then up along the beautiful coast until they found a calmer spot where they set the anchor and allowed all of us off for a swim or snorkeling. The swim was beautiful in the water with a perfect temperature. A convenient seat was laid out in the water behind the boat where people could just rest and enjoy their legs in the water, a slide into the water and even a place to jump and dive off the ship. Snorkeling gear and noodles were also provided. It was pretty idyllic... The scenery of the Napali was awesome and the photo opportunities were great, whether with backdrops of the beautiful coastline, the sunset, or just the open area - or really all of the above. Our family of five just had an amazing trip with Blue Dolphin. After shopping around for awhile we went with BD because of the extra hour on the water and the gold card discount. Soooo glad we did! We chose the adventure raft trip cuz we wanted to go in the caves and be down near the water. It was bumpier, wetter, and more exciting than taking one of the big boats. The kids loved it! Ruby, our captain, was a star! Down to earth and very knowledgeable. Everyone on the boat loved her playlist... there were even a few rock songs on there for me. Lily, our deckhand was very friendly and super helpful, always making sure everyone on board had what they needed. Both made sure that we had just the right photo opportunities and even helped take the shots. The trip itself was gorgeous and unforgettable. Through no fault of the team, snorkel visibility was not great... the sun just wasn't out much and the water was a little cloudy. But just getting into the beautiful water was a treat! Staff were all amazing and super kind and accommodating with me and my family. My two year old fell asleep and we were getting wet by the ocean and one of the crew member offered us their rain coat to cover her while she slept. The crew was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. You get to see humpback whales as well as the beautiful Napli Coast . The meal that was provided was amazingly good and so were the drinks that were provided. I would highly recommend this as something to do with the whole family. read more

Highly recommend the sunset cruise! We were very impressed with the entire cruise and how attentive the captain and crew were. Every time we started to want something, the crew happened by with that item. Getting thirsty....there they are with water. Starting to get hungry....there they are with snacks. The entire trip they maintained high cheer and excellent service. On top of that we highly enjoyed the "adventure" parts of the trip: viewing dolphins, snorkeling, and bouncing through the sea spray. Dinner was great and the Mai-Tais were the best we've had yet. All while viewing spectacular cliffs of the Na Pali coastline. On top of this we had a beautiful sunset to end the evening. We had the most amazing time on our sunset trip! Highly recommended. The crew (Captain Nate, CJ, and Jayce) made us feel safe, welcome, and filled us with yummy food, great drinks, and history lessons on all the sights we saw. We were lucky to get on this ride. We originally booked with another charter company, and they cancelled on us the day of for mechanical reasons. We quickly got on the phone with Blue Dolphin, who had room for us. Amazing sunset cruise of the Napali Coast with Blue Dolphin Charters. I've gone through Holo Holo Charters before and they are also great but Blue Dolphin was just as good! We were followed by dolphins and saw whales and so many rainbows. It was a wavy ride but Nate, Jayce, and Brian provided a safe and enjoyable ride. The dinner was delicious and more than I could eat with kalua pork, chicken, rice, salad, pineapple, and cookies. And they had Mai tais and beer and were constantly offering us soda and snacks during the ride as well. I got pretty wet and was happy I had my rain coat for a wind breaker and to stay drier. I recommend dramamine if you get sea sick! Will definitely go back to Blue Dolphin next time I'm in Kauai. read more

IMPORTANT NOTE: we all ended up getting sea sick (there was 5 of us), but this was not the fault of the crew at all--we learned we are all just prone to sea sickness. Especially as you near the Napali coast, it is very bumpy. Note that you will be on the boat for around 5 hours--if you are prone to motion sickness at all, we would not recommend this. It inevitably gets bumpy and for five hours, it is a lot to handle for anyone who is not an experienced with boats/sailing. ***Also note: this is not mainly a snorkeling excursion. We signed up thinking the focus would be snorkeling, but we went to a sub-par snorkeling spot (barely saw any fish) for around 45 minutes than were back on the boat for the rest of the time. This excursion is mainly about being on the boat and seeing the Napali Coast, which is very beautiful. However, overall, if you are looking for a snorkeling outing or are prone to seasickness, I would pass on this. You can see the Napali via helicopter, which may be the better option. The ride is so bumpy near the coast that it is hard to enjoy the beauty. This outing is quite expensive so we just want people to be aware of the drawbacks ahead of booking. Again, Capt Andy's is WONDERFUL and were so kind and entertaining the whole day, it is just quite a long time to be on the boat if you're not accustomed to it. If you're looking for a boating excursion, want to see the Napali Coast by boat, and don't get sea sick at all, Capt Andy's is the way to go.

Deed's in particular took my daughter under her wing when she was a little nervous in the beginning and made her feel right at home on the boat! The raft expedition is no joke...it was a real adventure! The Na Pali coastline was absolutely breathtaking and we are so happy we got to enjoy it on a fun raft! The lunch break was fantastic, including great food and a fun walking tour. Conditions dictated that we weren't able to do snorkel, but the crew made up for it with other activities. The energy and the vibe of the crew really made this an epic adventure. The cruise out of the harbor and into the open ocean with music pumping set the tone for what we were in for...and we knew we were in for a fun day!

DRAMAMINE, y'all…read more You're choosing to do the Na'Pali coast from the North Shore, which means smaller boats, and choppier waves. I took one Dramamine, the night before. Then another, an hour before our departure. AND THE BOAT RIDE WAS GREAT. I was all smiles and adventure and breathing -in the ocean air and wind! Unlike, a few folks, who were NOT doing so well. (One or two barfed over the side, but thankfully I didn't notice. Know how your body handles boats and waves. Don't do tours like this, without proper prep. It will NOT be fun if you underestimate it.) Check-In staff was super friendly, and personal. They remembered me from my original email. Sweet. Parking was easy. Shuttles team was super friendly. The strangers we rode with, all turned out to be cool. 2 boats go out (mini-catamarans, with cover from the sun). They expertly traverse the waves, and cliffs, and the caves, giving you some amazing first-hand visuals and photos. But yeah, that boat will be a rockin', during those up-close cave moments. Spoiler: You probably won't see whales, unless you're there before May. But we DID see a cute pod of Dolphins, who cozy'd up to our boat for a while. Our boat had Casey and Spencer. They were wise beyond their years, in all things Kauai. Funny and friendly. Spencer navigated the heck out of those waves, while Casey handled the nauseous passengers with MOTHERLY CARE. Spencer was 50/50 on allowing us to snorkel, based on conditions and a previous scare, a few weeks prior. But he ultimately made the call to GET IN THE WATER. He wisely kept us on a leash (not literally), whistling at swimmers when they got too close to a reef (with waves that could wash you onto the reef). It was fun and chill. Saw a HUGE, MASSIVE KING DADDY SEA TURTLE. He did not enjoy us as much as we enjoyed him and he bounced. Followed by a JR. Turtle, who stuck around a bit longer. Tons of fish. Spencer & Casey gave us good food and hike recommendations, and everyone treated us like friends / family. Highly recommend this team if you're going out. And you already know I highly recommend some Dramamine.

Our trip with Blue Dolphin Charters was hands-down one of the best experiences we had on Kauai! From the moment we walked through the doors and on board, it was clear that this crew (Captain J-sea, Vayden, Collin, Pa'a) truly loves what they do -- and that passion shines through in every detail. The entire charter team was born and raised on Kauai, and their knowledge of the island, its history, and culture made the tour so much more meaningful. As we cruised along the stunning Nā Pali Coast, they shared stories, legends, and insights that we would have never gotten from a guidebook -- it felt like we were seeing the island through the eyes of people who deeply care for it. Their attention to safety was top-notch, and it made the adventure even more enjoyable knowing we were in such capable hands. We booked a sunset Napali Coast tour during our Kauai trip. Our crew for the evening were Captain Joe, Sully and Rob. Due to an earlier incident the day before where I got sick on a helicopter tour, I took Bonine for this trip, as recommended by the staff in the Blue Dolphin office. I also purchased some of the ginger candies available. We had a gorgeous evening for our cruise. Captain Joe managed to get really close to a waterfall coming off the cliffs so some people could get soaked (why you would want to was beyond me!). My husband and I spent as much time as we could right at the front of the boat, enjoying the ride. The tour was great! We did see a few whales, and Captain Joe slowed down/stopped the boat so we could watch them for a bit. His information about the island was interesting, although we couldn't hear all of it due to us being at the front of the boat. Our loss, not their fault. On the ride back, the ocean was quite a bit more choppy, and it was requested that we stay more in the back of the boat. Rob and Sully were great when people decided to get up, and helped everyone go up or down the stairs as needed. They kept us entertained. They also were willing to take numerous photos of everyone on board at different times during the cruise. We enjoyed the food, too. The worst part for me was when I needed to use the restroom in the bottom of the boat. Let's just say that I'm thankful I took some motion sickness pills and was on the upper decks for most of the cruise. **5 Stars Blue Dolphin Charters Exceeded Every Expectation** Captain Evan, Nicole (first mate), Bryan, and Cole made our Napali Coast trip absolutely incredible! Captain Evan's navigation skills were flawless. You could tell he really knows these waters. I spent time talking with him on the bridge and we exchanged great stories. He's a natural who knows the water incredibly well and is just very cool and capable. Nicole has special skills at proactively managing everything. She's one of those people who just stands out the moment you meet them. She knows exactly what to do before you even realize it needs doing. The entire crew was constantly checking on everyone, making sure we felt safe and taken care of. Bryan and Cole were giving 100% and were totally awesome too. With 50 people on board, I was amazed at how smoothly they all managed everything together. They're incredible communicators and really know how to read situations. Everyone did their job perfectly, and you could see they genuinely care about giving guests the best experience possible. The trip itself was magical. We saw waterfalls, dolphins, and sea turtles. The snorkeling was fantastic. They provided amazing lunch, snacks, drinks, and cookies throughout the day. The weather was perfect for us, but I could tell this crew would handle any conditions professionally. Their attention to safety never wavered while still making sure everyone had an amazing time. Kauai itself is a magnificent island, but Captain Chad and his crew (Matt and Peyton) really made this a unique and exquisite experience. Chad is native to the island and his knowledge reflects how much he loves Kauai and he really shares that love with the entire group. He was very interactive and has an amazing eye for wildlife. We were able to see a couple sea turtles, a couple mountain goats off the cliff, and were even able to see a pack of dolphins. He is also awesome at handling his boat, we were able to get close enough to stand under a waterfall and even take a picture near another. Once at the coast we had a nice dinner (caesar salad, pulled chicken, pork, pineapple, rice, bread, cookies) not to mention it was open bar the entire ride. There are also non alcoholic drinks for those who do not want (or cannot have) alcohol. Group size was about 30 people but there was a lot of room on the boat to move around and be comfortable (2 tier deck plus a cabin area). In terms of the restrooms, for a boat they were pretty clean and usable. And safety, they had enough life vests for everyone to grab two if they were ever needed. This is a must do for those who want to truly enjoy the Na Pali coast and I highly suggest requesting Chad by name if you book the Na Pali Sunset Dinner Cruise. PS. If you sit in the front, expect to get wet. read more

Captain and crew are always top notch! My husband and I go out with them all the time, and we're learning more and more and more about the island through their narratives. It really opens our eyes to all the hidden history and knowledge these guys have of this amazing island. The scuba instructors are always informative and keyed in on keeping us safe while making sure we enjoy ourselves underwater. The food is consistently fresh and there is enough variety to satisfy my vegetarian tastes between the fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls in the morning to the delectable potato salad and verge sandwiches for lunch (you get to make your own sandwich on the buffet). Even though we're starting to get a little tired of the same sandwich setup, for some reason we're always ravenous after our dives, so it is really great to have this food waiting! And the free alcohol :) These guys are great about making sure you have a cold beer or mai tai in hand! It's a rain or shine cruise, as we learned on our last adventure with blue dolphin. The rain made a lot of the waterfalls run along the na pali coast. One of the crew explained to us that since the water was diverted from the Alaka'i swamp, the waterfalls have stopped flowing. What a treat to see that. The rain also made for calm seas, which wad great. read more

I did the Sunset Dinner Tour and it was the highlight of my trip to Kaua'i. You'll see a lot of people here giving 5 stars (myself included) and they are entirely accurate reviews. The Captain and crew were fun, smart, witty, knowledgeable and more than capable at navigating the tough waters. Captain Chad knows the ocean like the back of his hand, which made me feel very safe. His competence and skill allowed us to see and experience parts of the coast that most other companies avoid. The food was delicious. In contrast to the stellar reviews, I've read some of the negative ones. If you are considering Blue Dolphin Charters, you'll need to know these things before making a reservation in order to avoid any bad experiences: (1) from what I've been told, the water is even rough on the best and sunniest day along the Na Pali coast; (2) the weather on Kaua'i is unpredictable and moves fast; (3) Kaua'i, up in the mountains of Na Pali, is the wettest place on Earth, which means rain is a big probability; (4) this is NOT a fancy dinner cruise. Sea sickness is therefore a big probability, so is getting wet. I got a little sea sick and drenched to the bone, but you know what? I would do it all over again because those views are to die for. Joe, Danny and Lindsey were amazing hosts. We will always stick with this company when going to Kauai. My husband and I took our 5 1/2 year old son on the 2 hour Poipu whale watching sunset tour. All I can say is amazing! They keep their boat clean and clear. The crew were great with everyone, comical, extremely safe and accommodating. The moment you take off, they came around passing Mai Tais out and taking drink orders. The light snacks were quality and super tasty. We were surprised. The crew was amazing with our son and making sure he got a good seat and views. The experience with Blue Dolphin Charters definitely exceeded our expectations. Words cannot express what we saw, many whales and dolphins were out, but to experience it out and about leaves us simply speechless. Many of the tourists shared with us that they have been on many other tours and this was their best experience as well. Whatever this company is doing, please keep up the great job! We are already thinking about when to go back to Kauai and we are planning on doing a longer tour with Blue Dolphin for sure. Amazing Blue Dolphin Tour with the Best Crew - Ruby & Lily! We had the most unforgettable time on the Blue Dolphin tour along the breathtaking Nā Pali Coast in Hawaii! From start to finish, everything was smooth, fun, and full of good vibes - and that's all thanks to the incredible girl squad: Ruby and Lily. These two brought so much energy, knowledge, and laughter to the experience. They made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, whether it was your first time on the water or you're a seasoned traveler. Their enthusiasm was infectious - we were smiling the entire trip. This was such a fun experience but definitely not for the faint of heart. Our crew of Luke and Kai were spectacular. They were super knowledgeable, made it a point to check on each of the different parties (we had a couple of people who had sea sickness) and they made it a point to try to make them as comfortable as possible. Yes the waves were pretty EXCITING (as in 5-6ft swells) heading out, but Luke navigated it safely and beautifully and honestly all the wind and water splashing around in your face makes it all the more fun! The coast itself is so gorgeous AND the wildlife is plentiful. Literally saw a pod of dolphins maybe less than 30 minutes in, but we also saw tons of turtles, eagle spotted rays, and fishes. The only thing I might improve but I also understand why it was done was the lunch. The package mentioned sandwiches but we received a wrap (probably for convenience) but we have some picky eaters in our group and a wrap meant it was much harder for them to pick out the stuff they didn't want. However the chips, drinks, and cookies made up for it. read more

This whale watching tour exceeded all expectations from start to finish. We were lucky enough to see multiple whales up close, and Captain Cole's knowledge made the experience even more incredible. He shared fascinating facts about whale behavior and clearly knew exactly where to go--his experience really showed and made us feel confident and safe the entire time. The food on board was a wonderful bonus. Everything was fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared, which made the trip even more enjoyable while we waited for sightings and took in the views. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the boat. We went out with NaPali Coast Raft Adventures, Captain Noheli and Crew Jacob. It was the absolute best ride we've had to date! No-No and Jacob were knowledgeable, professional and entertaining. We learned much about the history of Kauai, the costal original peoples as well as wave and tide information. We got to see a rip tide and Noheli showed us what a rip tide is and looks like as well how to survive one. It was fascinating. The spinner dolphins surrounded us at one point, and Noheli told us about them being asleep in the morning. He shared that they always buddy up for sleep so their brains can shut down. Actually, it's only half their brains and it's the inside half of the buddy system. Really cool! We were completely impressed with Captain Noheli's ability to maneuver through the many obstacles of weather and waves. What an experience!! I think it would be hard to argue that any boat ride up the Napali coast is going to be more spectacular than the next. Same island, same breath taking views, same ocean... What was exceptional about this blue dolphin tour was the quality of the people captaining/hosting this charter. Captain Danny and his crew where the exception! First off, holy they are fun!! And not like that annoying; "make everyone scream" but rather genuinely charming and humorous. They were constantly offering to take photos, handing out snacks/drinks and sharing info about the area. Captain Danny even shared with me a great spot to check out the massive swell making its way in this weekend. But you'll have to go on the tour for insider scoop like that! Thank you Blue Dolphin, Captain Danny, Mike and Q for a great tour!! PS, We saw so many whales!! I couldn't get a good shot but there were tons. What an amazing crew! We went out with Captain Christian, Mike and Cole. They combined beautiful views of the Na Pali coast, fun and entertainment, and guest safety all into a wonderful afternoon of delight. We took the dinner cruise, leaving the harbor about 2:30 or so, and returned to see the beautiful sunset. The views of the Na Pali coast cannot be described! Captain Chris kept us informed throughout our trip, Mike and Cole visited each and everyone on board, making sure we were having a good time and feeling ok, especially as the seas were a little rough. (Consider taking Bonine or Dramamine before going out) The crew offers Ginger Ale and pretzels as soon as we left the docks to help settle stomachs. Dinner was good and drinks were plenty once we turned around. An impromtu sing-along to the tunes playing onboard was headed by Cole, on our way home. What an amazing day! The weather was iffy and the ocean was starting to experience the first winter swells of the season, but it didn't take away from the wonderful day that we both had celebrating our birthdays. Matt, Ryan, Johnny, and Capt. Christian were so fun, hospitable and informative throughout the whole trip, that it didn't really matter that the conditions weren't the greatest. Matt was so friendly and we loved that he went around and visited and spent time with every group on the boat....and not to mention, he makes a pretty mean Mai Tai! Ryan made sure that we were safe in the water (we only snorkeled) and would try to point out different wildlife in the murky conditions. Great group of guys and I hope to see them again soon! This is the best way to explore the Na Pali coast in Kauai! WOW! Four of us spent the morning on the deluxe snorkel cruise. We had a blast snorkeling and taking in the scenery and marine life. Cole (captain) was hilarious and provided fun and informational commentary on what we were seeing. He even made the rules fun. Quite the feat! Two of the four of us ended up getting seasick about halfway into it but Stacey and Luke (crew) were PHENOMENAL!! They took care of our friends with ice water, napkins, and tips on how to beat the seasickness. They kept us all comfortable and laughing no matter our nausea level. When we returned, we all agreed that if we could just turn the boat around and do the tour again right then and there, we would. It was the best way to end our time in Kauai! My family and I booked the Deluxe Napali Coast Tour and Snorkeling. We started out on time with a brief safety session by Captain Chris and his crew members Dane and Kai. Shoes are not allowed unless they are boat shoes, so there is space to put them. I would recommend bringing a swimsuit, towel, and underwater camera as food (continental breakfast and sandwiches) and drinks are thoroughly provided. The trip was about 4.5 hours, and if you are prone to motion sickness, take a Dramamine the night before and one or two pills 1-2 hours before the tour. The two crew-members were very helpful, and they took any photos you wanted! They were very knowledgeable about the island and Niihau (the native-only island). Captain Chris was a thorough speaker, so be prepared for a lot of jokes. This boat tour was definitely worth it; the Napali Coast is truly a must-see for Kauai!! read more

Blue dolphin canceled trip yesterday due to a windy weather system causing unsafe swells- no problem, they called early am. Rescheduled to today, drove out, checked in, signed release, paid, reparked where they told us, waited with crowd, THEN they announced would not go to Na'apali due to 19 ft swells. The waves are supposed to be 12 ft. tomorrow and doubted they'd be able to make the trip tomorrow (they knew full well they couldn't today as this is all a result of same system and is dying down). Bet they'll book passengers and repeat the deception again. Real low class outfit manipulating customers for profits. The tour they wanted to switch to was $40 less but they weren't reducing charge. We wanted refund but since online thru THEIR website needed "processing time". My wife had to ask for a receipt indicating cancellation. Wow. read more

We enjoyed the dinner cruise (no snorkeling) up the Na Pali coast from Port Angeles. The captain was excellent as was the crew. They give amazing service and are extremely friendly. Whatever you want or need they are there to assist you. Food was very good and cocktails are endless if you want to go that route. The narration is very good also. The crew and captain are very knowledgeable about the area. They give you a lot of local knowledge and history on the way. We saw spinner dolphins, waterfalls, and water caves. The sunset was spectacular but not guaranteed. If you get sea sick, they are very helpful and don't make it a big deal. I wouldn't recommend it for very young children. It is a long boat ride and it's all about the view and the narration. Wonderful trip! read more

We had a blast on the Blue Dolphin catamaran yesterday. Even though the waves were pretty rough due to the trade winds, Captain Chad and his two mates, Nicole and Eoni (?) did a great job both with safety and fun. They were very attentive and generous with the free drinks and the dinner was very good. With COVID their jobs were even more complicated and difficult but they handled it with grace and humor. It was Chad's first trip out after being closed for 8 months and he went out of his way to make the voyage special, giving "insider" Kauai resident information and even brought the boat close enough to the cliffs for people to have the waterfall fall on them. We would heartily recommend Blue Dolphin and hopefully you will get the same crew we did. read more
