He asked her to bring her unit in and leave it so that he could try to work her in sooner. ( she lived 45 minutes away). She ranted about her husband's knee replacement and when Russ admitted that he hadn't had one personally, she wished that such would be his fate....great I thought...he will tell her off and I can get my turn! But NO...this went on for over 20 minutes with her being mean and vindictive and he being a perfect gentleman. I have never seen or heard anything like it! I would have climbed through the phone and....never mind. Just wanted to say what a wonderful guy Russ is. Oh yeah...and he fixed my little problem on the spot.

We were on a trip south and could not get the water heater in our brand new Tiffin Wayfarer to…read morework. We figured it was a Owner/Operator error, but were clueless how to proceed. We called a Tiffin Dealer and they were very indifferent toward our problem. We saw Carolina Campers and RVs and pulled in with the hope they'd be able to help. They made us feel like they'd been waiting for us to arrive! Stephanie met us as we pulled in with a huge smile and let us know, that while they couldn't do Tiffin warranty work, they had two Tiffin qualified technicians. Within 5 minutes, we were introduced to Chad, who reset the Water Heater and then gave us a tour of the inside workings of the motor home. We were on our way within 30 minutes! Vacation Saved!

Re-ordered camper was sent to the wrong store - Traveled extra hour to pick up the camper and it was the WRONG CAMPER! We chose to completely back out of the deal because of the lack of competance. 10/23/26 THEY HAVE NOT CLOSED OUT THIS LOAN OR UNWOUND THE DEAL. SO-I have a loan and no camper!!!! I've taken it to a few other places to have this issue just placed a damn (trying to keep it G rated) Band-Aid on it. But Country Roads RV Center, their service team kicked that toilets butt. ( G rating ) I had to take in once and it stopped leaking for a little bit but their service tech finally found the problem the second time around! And you want to talk about quick! They got to the problem and THEN I made them fix a few "other issues" I needed help with. And!!! Installed a new kitchen faucet all in one day! Camping world would have taken a days to get this all done! Sorry Camping World. I think I've found another place to get this and that repair or fixed. Hey I just did a review for Camping World too! Their staff took me in and were so sweet and kind to me, an old veteran lady! I know I'll be back. And guys! The kitchen faucet looks amazing It really ties the room together! I delivered my travel trailer to Country Road RV Repair Center in the spring for what should have…read morebeen straightforward service: new tires, bearing maintenance, and a general mechanical review. I was told the work would be 2 weeks out, and I would get a call with any needed work at that point, months before our trip, was perfectly fine - or so I thought . After 3 weeks, I called them, and the tire estimate was double what Discount Tire quoted, and they said I needed a new slide motor. They then ordered it, with an ETA of 2-3 days. After nearly two full months of status updates of "next week", the trailer was still not ready. Estimated completion times came & went, and many weeks later, two days before our vacation, they explained the parts ordered were "wrong" and they would get right on it. I only received updates whenever I initiated contact, which never came to pass. This caused us to cancel a long-planned vacation -- and lose our non-refundable deposit in the process. This experience was not only frustrating but also costly. I have no problem paying premium repair rates and higher tire prices when the work is done correctly, but six weeks late is a bit much. On top of all that, they simply glared at me wordlessly when I finally picked it up and had no further explanations or even an apology when I picked the camper up several weeks late. Just told me the total. To add insult to injury, the owner replied with a fictitious story & timeline, leaving out the fact that I brought in on 6/10/25 primary the tires, bearings, and a mechanical inspection, and specifically mentioned the slide blowing breakers. After I checked in on the 7/11/25 (over a month later) did anyone mention the motor, and said the ETA was 2-3 days, and that work would be done in a day. From that point on, I called for any further updates. Every call was 2-3 days, until we missed our checkin date - otherwise, we WOULD have picked it up.

Recently, while traveling from Florida to New Hampshire, we experienced an unexpected issue and totaled our travel trailer. Apparently, an object kicked up and knocked the spring pin off the through pin that holds the hitch to the receiver. This resulted in the stem of the lift jack plowing a 2 1/2 inch groove, approximately 100 feet long, down the side of Virginia's Route 100 and Dry Pond Road. The A-frame was bent approximately 20 degrees, the electric jack was severely damaged, the hitch itself was bent, and the cabin of the camper shifted forward about 1 1/2 inches. It was no longer safe to continue our journey. The truck driver, Darren, from Russells Garage (whom I also highly recommend), suggested that we take our camper to Johnson's Family RV, which proved to be excellent advice. Experiencing a camper crash and total loss halfway to your destination is an overwhelming situation, involving insurance, towing, estimates, hotel rooms, and decisions about whether to purchase a new camper or return home. However, Missy, Doug, Frank, and the entire crew at Johnson's went above and beyond to make the process as seamless as possible. They efficiently prepared the estimate, communicated with the insurance company multiple times, explaining our situation, and within a couple of days, we were able to depart with our new RV, and we couldn't be happier. The pricing was very fair (I verified), and the understanding and service they provided far exceeded our expectations. I can recommend, without reservation, that Johnsons Family RV was one of the best decisions we ever made.

After receiving no update, I called and learned their transport crew had refused to move it because the tires were too dry rotted. I offered to arrange new tires myself in exchange for $2,500 off, and that adjustment was agreed to in writing. I asked for the exact location and a contact person so I could send a tire installer, but never received that information. Peter and Sean kept pressing us to come to Myrtle Beach and sign loan documents before we had ever seen the motorhome in person. I refused. At that point, we did not even know about the other problems the McBee store would later identify. Peter and Sean told us the motorhome would be ready for pickup Saturday morning, September 26, with the repairs completed. Blue Compass emailed us an appointment confirming an 11 a.m. demo at McBee and a 10 a.m. drop-off for our trade-in. We drove about two hours with our camper. When we arrived, it was not ready, and McBee staff told us they had never been given approval to complete the repairs. The motorhome needed additional work we had not been told about before making the trip. When I spoke with Cody, the Myrtle Beach general manager, about what happened, he denied that his staff had done anything wrong and continued telling me I was wrong. That response was especially frustrating given the written appointment confirmation and the condition of the motorhome when we arrived. A Myrtle Beach contact later apologized and offered to refund our deposit. When we got home, we found a FedEx envelope containing a temporary plate for the motorhome with paperwork showing only my wife's name. We had not signed purchase or loan documents, taken delivery, or agreed to put the RV in her name alone. We want an explanation of what paperwork was used to issue that plate. We still like the motorhome and are now working directly with the McBee store. Based on our experience with the pressure to sign, the failed pickup, the lack of communication, and the GM's response, I would not recommend buying through Blue Compass RV Myrtle Beach.
