In the initial walkthrough, they walk me through the issue and showed me why the issue was happening. Also told me about other concerns but wasn't trying to upsell me on doing more repairs than what I wanted which I appreciated. After I decided to go with them, Saul was able to get me on the schedule quickly and always communicated if there were any hiccups. The job was finished in about 6 hours. At the end, Saul and Dad was able to show me pictures of the work and provide a portfolio of the job at the end. I highly recommend if you have any roofing or need storm proofing as that is their speciality. I have some gutter and panels that need proofing and will be using them again. I reached out to four different roofers for quotes--only three responded, and Robert's quote landed right in the middle. The deciding factor wasn't price; it was communication. While Robert didn't personally come out to inspect the roof for the quote (side note: none of the companies did--it was all done over the phone using mapping software), he stood out in a big way. Looking back at my text and call history, Robert spent no less than three hours answering every single question I had. And I mean every question--even the dumb ones--answered promptly and professionally. During the process, there was a price increase on shingles. To Robert's credit, he honored the original price. Once the contract was signed, his crew was out three days later. They got my roof done in a day and a half and did a fantastic job cleaning up afterward. He was very informative and upfront with all information about shingle types, installation, scheduling, and options for repair vs. replacement. Two years ago we had a roof repair by Shingle Hut and were very satisfied with the cost and general helpfulness of the project coordinator. He gave us several options at a reasonable price. Fast forward to hurricane Beryl damage 2024... shingles were flying from a new part of the roof! Mark with Shingle Hut came through!! We were quoted double the price by another company who REFUSED to give us a cash price and wanted to ONLY work with insurance to cover the cost. Our Hurricane policy deductible was over $20,000... needless to say I needed an affordable and reasonable cash option. Mark offered us a couple different packages and was great about follow up without being pushy. He followed through with everything he discussed and was responsive on phone calls, text and email. Financing options are offered on their website by 3rd party but even that part was fantastic... very quick and responsive- again with options on loans to fit a variety of budget needs. It's never fun to deal with roof repair and replacement, but Mark made it not scary.
