My go-to is usually the cappuccino but saw that they have their seasonal cherry blossom latte so got that instead. They also have individual tins of the cherry blossom in store available to purchase for $12. The drink had distinct combinations of floral, tartness from the cherry, and milky rich chocolate. Flavors paired well together but a little too heavy for me so I diluted it just a little. The inside is clean and has some tables for doing work. But the consistency at this location can be a little wild because sometimes that same drink comes out bitter as heck. Surprised to find Blue Bottle Café in Jackson Square! What a wonderful experience. The blond wood interior is very light and fresh-looking. An abundance of light from the large windows made this a pleasant place to enjoy my matcha latte with oat milk. The temperature of my latte was perfect (!) I always ask for extra hot since I grew up drinking hot teas. The Asian barista was really knowledgeable about matcha - a special plus since I'm a matcha latte fiend. This is a great coffee spot! Got a caffé latte and it didn't disappoint. We came on a Friday morning around 10:30 AM. Service was slightly slow but overall still reasonable. The workers were friendly and accommodating with our orders. This location has a bunch of glass windows and lots of natural lighting, which was great. Good amount of seating, there are some spots near the windows and also a large round table in the center (seated our group of 5 comfortably with room to spare). There were other customers when we went, but the general environment was pretty calm and quiet. Although we didn't stay for long, I can see this being a great study spot. Not good, but GREAT coffee. Also, that butter blondie is super delicious and definitely not diet, but comes in a reasonable portion so you don't feel over-indulgent. There is a big communal table that seats 6 with ample elbow room to spare. There are four 2 person tables with chair & shared bench, a long bar style table with 2 stools, and other low tables with stools and shared bench. Plenty of seating when I went. A lot of people take their coffee to go or when having coffee here don't stay long, even with a companion. Music and background coffee shop noise is about average volume. I was able to study without using noise canceling headphones. There was a lot of bright natural lighting because of the high windows and big open space. It keeps you awake! Only drawback is I didn't see power outlets for much of the big seated area--it might be why people don't stay long to work. There's a power outlet (fits 2 chargers) in the floor near the coffee shop entrance close to the low tables (too low to work on a laptop, think toddler Fisher-Price tables). All in all, a good place to grab coffee on your way to work, or study/work as long as you don't need access to power. read more

I was looking for a coffee place within walking distance of my hotel and saw that the Blue Bottle location within the farmer's market had thousands of reviews with high ratings and thought I should give a close by location a try. The New Orleans style was their most popular so I decided to give it a try. I thought it would similar to a vanilla latte, but upon my first sip, it tasted like coffee flavored water. Bitter and no hint of sweetener or milk. I took a few more sips and lose all interests in finishing it. One thing I thought was interesting was this is only served cold. However, when the guy came out with the cup, I was a little confused because the lid doesn't have space for a straw. I thought it was a hot drink at first. I looked around and didn't see any straws around in the store so I just drank it without one. Overall, I'm glad I gave this place a chance but it's not my favorite. read more

I've come here many times, and each time I have gotten horrible service. The staff here really seem to not be interested in their jobs. - They constantly get orders wrong, or forget items in the order. - They are very unhelpful if someone has a request or a question about an item. - One time, while I was at the front of the line to order, the barista at the register decided to strike up a conversation with their friend standing behind me, talking right through me as though I was not there. It got very uncomfortable. - I get a general sense of lack of care from the employees here, as if they really do not want to work here. It's not an overpowering flavor as it's light similar to a whipped milk. I would like to have a tad more matcha or sweetness come through. The NOLA is exceptional & very energizing. My review is for Blue Bottle in general, this location is decent and is pretty standard for an experience at the chain. The coffee is good but their menu and their design is too curated, to a degree that reminds me of a sterile hospital room. For such a successful chain, it's surprising they don't offer just a plain middle roast coffee for the average person. If you like artsy dark roasts and sitting in a sterile room with uncomfortable furniture, this is the place for you. Better than Starbucks, worse than any real coffee shop. read more

Saw hojicha latte on the menu and I was so excited to try it. My barista Phil was nice. There was literally no one when I walked in at 11am. They do require vaccination proof if you decide to dine in. Got my drink and food in 2 mins. Hojicha latte was good but I like my latte on the sweeter side so I added some simple syrup to it.
