They have so many great flavors including Hawaiian style li hing mui, guava and P.O.G. The employee was really nice and let us know the timing (it takes a few minutes to make each one) until we got ours. They offer snow caps (sweetened condensed milk) and ice cream options as well. I love a good pour of syrup and they do great with that as well. It was definitely worth the 28 minute drive from Renton and we'll be back for sure. Basic shave ice is $6 and add-one are $1 extra

I was not aware that they were closed for renovations and stopped by this last Saturday. The owner came out and greeted me and let me know that he was not fully open for business yet, but when he heard that I had driven quite a ways, he welcomed me inside The owner, Moe, is one of those larger than life people that you can't help but gravitate towards. He has a big personality and I can see why he has been successful. Show me where they popped the popcorn and bag everything on a daily basis. His full menu will also feature flavored cotton candies and hotdogs among other items. I purchased bag of dill pickle, cheese drizzled caramel, White cheddar jalapeño and regular caramel flavor. Each and every one was delicious and well worth it. Moe told me about his renovation and how he reconfigured the kitchen and lobby area. The place looks great and I encourage everyone to try cheddarboy popcorn! I look forward to my next visit and will try other flavors and let you know how they are. Total great experience!

The primary reason for coming here is the knowledge and experience of the owner and staff. They have answered every question I've posed to them over the years on the spot and I always marvel at how much they know about everything they sell. I was recently unable to find my husband's multivitamin (recommended by his physician) for sale anywhere. Sunshine Corners staff knew why I was unable to find it, how long it would be until we might see some more in production, and what a good substitute would be based on the specific qualities of the vitamin. Seriously, just go in and tell them what you need or what ailment you're looking to treat - they'll know where to point you. They have an awesome little deli with fresh sandwiches and soup, along with a selection of dry pasta and other food items (don't forget to try a truffle). They are super friendly and customer service is always great. Prices may be a little more than you'd find elsewhere, but you're really paying for selection, knowledge, and personalized service. They do have a punch card system and every time I go, I get a $5 or $10 discount depending on how much I spend which is always great. Hours are good, but take note - they are closed on Saturdays; however, they are open on Sundays.

I grew up in a place where berries didn't grow wild, but things like avocados and oranges were in abundance. Now that I have discovered this pick-your-own berries and subscription farm, though, all of this has changed. Today was my second visit to the delightfully lush Lazy River Farm down south, in Kent. Lazy River Farm is right now teeming with raspberries and blueberries that you can pick for $1.50 per pound. This is about one-fourth the price I pay for frozen berries at Whole Foods. But please don't make me calculate the cost of my gas in this equation since I am so happy thinking about how I am fiscally savvy to be picking my own. Plus, it's really, really fun! Visit Lazy River Farm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 9-5. And be sure to follow all the instructions on the posted signs because these farmers are serious about their wonderful berries.
