Great spot ver good massage clean would recommend good location would do again! Very good place

I was in the area for a meeting and had 2 hours to spare so I decided to come here- opted for the 1 hour deep tissue & 1 hour foot massage. Altho the massages were decent and my therapist does have "good hands" & was very gentle, maybe a little too gentle, there were many cons that made my experience unenjoyable. Nobody speaks any English- everything I said or asked, my therapist didn't understand, she just smiles & says "ok" and during the 2 hours in the room, she went in & out a lot. Not to mention, she shorted me about 10 mins- apparently, the time starts after you pay, not when the massage starts & they don't use a timer. Prices are on the higher side & there's a $3 fee if you're paying with a credit card. What's really annoying was the receptionist lady kept talking loudly on the phone nonstop, like can I relax & enjoy my massage in peace?! Def not coming back again :x read more

Came for a 90min Thai massage. Specifically came for that, as apparently there are not many (if any) other places i can get one around here. Firstly, even with an appt i had to wait almost 30mins for somebody to be available (chatted it up with a walk in who goes regularly and said thats a common thing there- not honoring appointments). Massage itself was pretty good. For a regular massage, it would have been very nice. But for a Thai Massage.. it was subpar- I've had many, from all over, over the last 12 years and can say this was at the bottom, but again NOT A BAD MASSAGE. I just look for a certain technique and traditional style.. I also noted on the paper i wanted a back walk, and no hot stones. They used hot stones and i got no back walk. May go again for a different massage but for Thai, looks like i'll just have to drive 2 hours to NOVA/DC to get my fix.. read more

my significant other and I are regulars and they tried to charge 300.00 for a service of 200.00 we will never be back. they also double booked couples massages and wanted to push back appointments because they booked someone else in the same time slot and remind u today is my birthday. Happy Birthday to me. They can't count and they are trying scam ppl read more

I booked a couples massage as a birthday treat and was excited to finally relax and enjoy the experience with my partner. Instead, it was one of the most unprofessional services I've ever received. My therapist was the manager . Throughout the massage she repeatedly left the room whenever the door chime went off . Each time she stepped out, the door was left open, which meant I was lying on the table exposed to hallway noise and completely lacking privacy. She never once checked in about pressure, used hardly any oil, and didn't make up for the time she was gone. On top of that, my partner's therapist actually switched out with another person in the middle of the appointment without any explanation. That was shocking and made the entire experience feel chaotic and uncomfortable. A massage is sold by time and by a promise of relaxation and privacy. We did not receive what we paid for. This was supposed to be something special for my birthday and it ended up being stressful instead. I won't be returning and hope the owner addresses these issues. read more

Let me be clear--this is not a luxury spa. There are no fancy robes or spa water. But if you're looking for a spot where someone will seriously work out the tension in your body for two full hours and not charge you an arm and a leg for it, this is the place. They do not mess around. I left feeling sore in the best way, like my body had actually been reset. For the price, it's absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be coming back next time I need someone to beat me up (lovingly). read more

I came in for a walk-in deep tissue and Jenny honestly put in work. She took the knots in my shoulders personally and I'm so thankful.

Wonderful massage! No frills. But they make up for it in quality. They do try to upsell you on services when you're in there, and I may be back to try more. I originally booked a Swedish full body but once I talked to the front desk upon arrival, I realized if you want any pressure, then you'll need to book the deep tissue (even for light to medium pressure). I had a 90 minute which felt like a perfect amount of time, not rushed at all and was able to focus on the areas I needed! read more

I love Blue Asian. Clean and professional. I have been coming for eight years now. Jenny and Wendy are the best. I've never been disappointed. read more

Massage was ok. I had an hour massage. She spent 55 mins on my back, which felt rushed. She spent 5 mins on the front. I did not feel relaxed. It felt rushed. Visiting from Texas. I personally would not return. read more

Everything is always great! We love coming for a couple massage! We come for a 90inute deep tissue

the BEST massage! like other reviews, this is not luxury or lavish, but an amazing massage if you're sore or need some kinks worked out. I left feeling brand new. The price really is unbeatable (60minute for $70)! Will definitely be back!! read more

I really enjoyed my experience here! I had Jenny as my massage therapist and she was extremely good, i came in with a spine that was totally locked up and now i feel like i can move! I really appreciated the additional free hot stone, as well as her attention to detail with working through my muscle knots. The pricing is SUPER low for the quality of massage i received. I will definitely be coming back! I will say there was a lot of background noise so if that is something that bothers you I would be cautious, but i didn't mind it at all! They also have lots of availability for walk ins from what i could tell. read more

I had an excellent message here probably one of the best that I've had! I will say this is a no frills massage spa. If you're looking for heated massage tables, essential oils and relaxing music you're not likely to find that here. My complaints are generally about the ambiance. The room was dimly lit with a harsh red light. They also left the door to the room open so I was able to hear people entering and exiting the building. All in all if you're looking for a quality massage check this place out ! read more

Awful so bad I had to get up after the first 3 min of laying on the table and demand my money back. Why? Well let me tell ya. Called on the phone asked how much $60 for an hour. Great made the appointment show up and the price jumped to $75, ok not the end of the world. Then it was you pay now.. Ok pay now sure no problem. Get in the room take a few deep breaths getting the massage vibe right. In walks Mrs. Miyagi, ok lovely explained where I'm having discomfort. She looked at me like I just chop Sueyed her with a back hand. Alright again no worries let's do this. Within the first 45 seconds she had yelled through the door at her colleagues and walked out to pick up the phone or something besides massage the client who just forked over $80. That was my sign, got up got my refund and will never go back. read more

You will either get the best massage of your life here or you'll be disappointed. most of the masseuses are great but there is one or 2 people who give deep tissue massages with thier forearms and it feels like a baby massage. hit or miss. The 1 hour $100 head massage is way over priced for the experience it should only cost $30. love it when they get it right though. you have a 7/10 chance of having a great experience. read more

Clean facility. Masseuse were ok. My lady did great until she dug her elbows into me too deep. My husband states he was in pain the whole time even after the lady asked if he was ok 5 times since he kept moving in the bed since she never changed her strength she was using. Ladies in the office barely speak any English so very hard to understand. read more

This place is awesome! Got a same-day appointment and awesome full body massage for $60?! Can't beat it. Jenny was amazing, especially if you like firm pressure. If you're on the fence just go! I'll probably be back next week lol read more

Wonderful! There are several day spas in Richmond but I can't imagine any of them having a better massage than Blue Asian Massage Spa. I had the deep tissue. It is reasonably priced. The staff are talented, professional, and nice. If you live locally, you should come asap! I was so relaxed. It was everything I hoped it would be. read more

Just got an amazing massage from here today and let me just say I will definitely make this a monthly routine. The masseuse was a magician, I was having some weird spasms in my back and she worked those out sooo well like I honestly felt lethargic after my massage, and wanted to just sleep lol! They were so professional and you can tell very well trained in this line of work, not to mention the prices are SUPER reasonable, like I tipped her extra just because the prices were so great and you get the BEST service. I'm never going anywhere else, highly suggest! read more

The massage experience was good. The experience of getting to the massage was not. We called ahead to make an appointment because every other massage place was busy. The woman rushed my husband off the phone with out telling us the prices which are not listed anywhere on their website. He asked to make sure they could perform massages on pregnant women since I am 8 months along the woman said "ya ya ya you come at 4 bye". So I called to ask for pricing and she said $60. We were tentative but we went anyways because mama needed this. When we got there they made us wait until 4:30. When they came out I asked what the accommodations for pregnancy were and she just told me to go back in the room and that my husband needed to pay before the massage. It ended up being 120 for a couples room massage for the both of us so 60 dollars per person was spot on just wish they had prices listed ANYWHERE. I went back to the room and my husband joined me. My Masseuse helped me get my bra off which was nice because my husband was already face down waiting for his massage at the very beginning of the massage her phone went off and I assume it was a child calling because she said "ugh what you want now" which I think was hilarious because kids are kids lol but it would be nicer if they didn't have that happen once the massage had started. My massage was accommodated by them placing pillows between my legs and them having me lay on my sides. The woman was really nice and helped me flip flop all over the table. She was sweet and kept asking if what she was doing was ok and if pressure was alright. I would have preferred a table where I could insert my belly because let's be honest laying on your stomach during pregnancy is a luxury experience in itself. All in all I'd say the massage was nice but the run around to understand what was going on was uneasy at first. Now that we know this place is good we would feel Comfortable going but we are only stopping through so for tourist business you'd really have to trust the process. read more

I have numerous back issues from my job. It's hard to find someone willing to use enough pressure to get stuff to untangle. Jenny is awesome. I left with my back feeling better than it has in over a year. There can be a little language barrier but it's not an issue since they have you fill out a form with what you want and the problem areas. read more

The massage I received was very good. She was able to release the tension with the right pressure. Although the ambiance isn't spa feeling the massage is worth it! read more

Horrible service, the staff is crazy nosy about customers personal life, couldn't shut her holes down

I have been to this business many times and find it the best place for licensed professional massage. Therapists here are experienced and knowledgeable and are able to help me to relax. My back pain has been better due to massage I have received here. The business is clean and the people are friendly. Finally, I should say that I always feel comfortable here due to the professionalism of the staff. read more

Sherry is amazing! She is so knowledgeable about the functions of the body and explained the importance of regular massages. She took the time to explain everything about the pressure points. Thank you Sherry and I will make an appointment with you next time. Sherry is the best! read more

Blue Asian Massage Spa - Massage Therapy Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

Friendly very skilled, clean relaxing, will come back again. enjoyable, liked it, good location.

At the beginning of this year my friend and I went to get a couples massage together so we would be done at the same time. We got there and waited awhile, then paid and the lady proceeded to open the door and escort us A BLOCK away to a townhome that she said they rent out for the salon. Creepy af but we went. The house was so cold and she said they don't put the heat on because it expensive to heat the place and proceeded to turn on a tiny space heater. We had to undress and lay down in this room that was probably no joke 50-60 degrees... two ladies came in and started the massage which seemed fine but then one got a phone call and decided to put it on speaker and tossed it onto my body so she could talk while we were getting our massages. This phone call included a lot of yelling from both parties... no music was playing and the lights were BRIGHT red in the room so none of it was relaxing. The oil they used was a huge jar of Costco coconut oil that they just reached their hands into and smashed onto our bodies (also cold because again no heat). We paid extra for the hydro soak and uhm... it was just warm washcloths that they rubbed all over our bodies which left us freezing after. Somehow we got a facial out of it which was not said anywhere and honestly we had no idea what to even do at this point... we got dress and left promptly after the whirlwind of events that had just taken place but luckily for them we didn't ask for a refund... read more

This was the best massage I've ever received! New into town and highly recommend for a weekend getaway. The experience was everything and more than I expected. read more

I got a 90 minute deep-tissue massage here today. It was excellent. She used a mix of Thai massage movements with traditional deep-tissue. I will definitely be back. Great value for the price! My 90 min massage was $90. The only downside was the place was really cold and they give you a towel to cover up instead of sheets. But it's my fault for not speaking up earlier. And when I did say something she apologized and went to get another towel. read more

Jenny from blue Asian is the best massage I've had in my life and I've gotten them frequently for 15 years. She has incredible strength and nose how yo really work on areas that are hurting. She also does some stretching and mobility that leaves you feeling so refreshed!! Absolutely recommend. read more

Was on a mission to find the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday and this was it. I was able to call and get an appointment within 5 minutes of me calling (unlike some other locations that wasn't able to take same day appointments) beware if you want a really great massage you HAVE to get the deep tissue massage. Also pay in cash so you're not surprised at the bill (like I was) after I was done I felt like a new person! Don't sleep on these hole in the wall spots! read more

The massage was good, but I don't like they charge your card before services then after services want to re-run your card to add the tip. I don't mind tipping but to take payment before services are rendered then ask for a tip is bad business practices. read more

Best massage of my life. Truly truly. I get massages at least once a month- from fancy spas to some small places. I was absolutely impressed at the location, setup, and the massage. I live in northern va, but I'm going to drive to get a massage from here often- because wow! read more

The massage itself wasn't awful but I had the most unprofessional experience ever. I asked for a half hour deep tissue massage. they proceeded to harass me about upgrading to an hour. Even when I was midway undressing they walked in to ask me about it. I kept saying no. At one point the lady even pulled down my towel, smacked my rear repeatedly and said "you need the full body. It will help you lose weight." Like. What?? My lady kept giving me unasked for free stuff. She said "the OIL (just oil you guys) is an extra 10. It's free for you." Same with the hot stones which by the way on their poster it literally says it's free. And then in the middle of my massage she asked me if I would tip her 20 dollars. I didn't answer so she kept asking. Then she asked if I was "high pay." Then concluded with "please don't complain." Talked the entire time. I will never ever come back. Now I know why they are asking for 5 star reviews in exchange for 5 dollars off next time. read more

Made an appointment with them for tonight and when I showed up the woman looked confused and tried to say that I did not book it for tonight. Then they said "sorry we are busy" although there were no other customers. Extremely unprofessional. read more

The best massage of my life, hands down. I have so many knots in my back at any given time. Tight hips, tense shoulders. Jenny fixed all that. read more

WONDERFUL MASSAGE! The facility was nice and clean. Staff was friendly! The gal I had worked out all my knots and tightness! Hot stones, hot towel, stretched my body (which caused my back to pop) FELT WONDERFUL! Facial massage in it as well. Reading other reviews, many people complained about "extra charges." This is a spa.. they are OBVIOUSLY going to try to upgrade as much as they can. Add-ons generate more money. All you have to say is "no" politely. :) Yes, some may not speak English well, but that should be the last complaint! (As reading other reviews.) It is absurd that we complain about bilingual people when we aren't ourselves. Anyway, I'm definitely going back! And with cash! I know what a pain a processing fee can be! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! read more

Had one of the best massages I've ever had with Nancy. I have an athletic build and it's hard work to really get deep in the tissue for me to feel release. Nancy was absolutely amazing. I was really physically hurting and didn't expect much so I only booked a one hour but it was so good, that I extended it to 1.5 hrs and tipped her well. Nancy is strong, focused, and has amazing technique. She made me hurt so good. Highly recommend that you see Nancy I'd want serious hard work and amazing release. read more
