Really good spa! Really cheap and felt like a whole new person at the end!! 1000/10 would recommend

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I found them about 6 years ago, and I am a frequent flyer. Can say enough about how awesome this place is.

After relocating, it was challenging to find a massage that works for me. I have booked three appointments with Taiwan Spa and now they have a permanent customer. It's important to note that I have only requested deep tissue massages. (We're talking about using feet, elbows, and forearms.) I'm sure you can request much lighter pressure and longer strokes too. But people that are looking for fascia release? Look no further! read more

I booked a foot massage for my partner and he enjoyed the experience so much! We'll definitely be going back!

The best massage I I have had since living here in Richmond the foot massage was out of this world love it clean, gracious, wonderful service read more

This is the go-to spa for a fantastic massage. I have a couple pinched nerves in lower back and pain goes down both legs. I got a 60 minute full body massage with special attention on my back. Afterward I felt so much better, I could move more freely and pain was almost gone. I highly recommend Taiwan Spa, you won't regret it. Steve from New Kent read more

This place, at some point in time, was a stellar spot to get professional massages. The first owner actually had people who knew what they were doing. My visits during this time always left me leaving with wobbly legs because the masseuse had hit all the right knots. Then that owner sold it, maybe around 2020, to non-Taiwanese people. Suddenly, it was the sort of staff you'd find on every street in Chinatown, NY. I asked for the same treatment as I did the first couple of times. Not only did she skip the hot stones and stepping, it felt like I never got a massage just hours later. Needless to say, I never went back. I know another reviewer mentioned how the staff is filled with people that travel in and live together while they are here. That is correct. These are the kind of Chinese people that take one lesson, if any, and say they are qualified to perform the job. Don't get me wrong, some are truly skilled in their chosen profession. This lady I had simply was not that. Aside from that, the staff was very kind towards me. If you are lucky enough to find a masseuse that can take care of your problems here, then call it a blessing. Their price range is actually decent. I simply didn't want to spend the money on a guessing game and chose a spot much closer to home where I'm guaranteed a knot-breaking session by a true professional. read more

They were all nice, but my massage was extremely painful and rough, which made it stressful. The opposite reason I went there, to relax. I asked several times for the woman to lighten the pressure, and she acknowledged it, but nothing changed. I went there because I heard good reviews about the place, which is fine for other people, maybe other people like their massages extremely rough and fast lol. Not only that, I could hear the staff talking very loud the entire time, so that also made it so it was not relaxing. I still paid full price and I still tipped. So just be warned that it is not a soothing, relaxing place. read more

Best massage I have EVER had! I had so much tension in my body and I feel much better!

In a hard to get to spot in short pump / pricing for services higher than the going rate for the area / forcing - strongly urging of other staff with massage - once you find a good contact there to build repoire with - and lastly so so in the cleanliness dept - don't recommend read more

I was basically treated like a crazy person the minute I walked in the door. All I did was walk in and ask for a 60 minute massage... The lady's face turned to SHOCK and she started yelling in another language. Then 3 other women come running from the rooms in the hallway to the lobby where I am and when they see me , they ALL look surprised...SCARED EVEN... and then they just keep looking at me and then back at each other. Frustrated I asked again. "Do you have time for a walk in?....60 minute massage " ....Dead silence One of the ladies shook her head. I took a breath and just said, "ok , I'm obviously at the wrong place," walked out. But im clearly not at the wrong place I'm in the parking lot and I just rechecked the address to this place 3x! It is correct ! I read the reviews & most the reviews are great. That's why I drove here. So now I'm just sitting here wondering...what EXACTLY is going on here??? read more

I'll add to the top ratings. Excellent services. Went in for foot reflexology and stayed for an hour long massage. Live out of town. Just got my niece a gift card. Go. It's good for you. read more

HORRIBLE! I made an appointment online for deep tissue shoulder/neck massage for noon. I received an online confirmation. three days later (the day before my appointment) I received a reminder. Both had the name Taiwan Spa, the address 11567 W. Broad St. But when I arrived - the three people who were standing around doing NOTHING, claimed I was a walk in (huh?), and when I showed them the confirming emails - they did not understand what an email was. They pointed at the name "Taiwan Spa" and the address '11567 W. Broad St." as listed in the confirmation and reminder and then pulled out a business card (WHICH HAD THE SAME EXACT INFORMATION) and said "no same". Obviously they did not understand any English (written or spoken) and did not comprehend that the business card information was EXACTLY the same as the information on the confirmation and reminder email. In fact, they did not seem to understand what email was. The person who seemed to be the "receptionist" kept saying "walk in? whole body? 60 minutes"" and I kept saying "appointment, deep tissues, shoulder/neck, 30 minutes". The so called "receptionist" said "no understand. owner did?" And the two therapists who were standing there were speaking mandarin among themselves and the receptionist acting like I was from another planet. I finally walked out as obliviously I was NOT going to get the deep tissue shoulder massage I needed and no one could understand what I was even there for. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS IS A SCAM SHOP. MY NEIGHBOR LATER TOLD ME THAT THE SO CALLED THERAPISTS ARE RECRUITED BY THE OWNER FROM ABROAD AND HE GIVES THEM FREE HOUSING IN RETURN FOR BEING IN THE SHOP AND A SMALL STIPEND FOR FOOD. They are not licensed. They speak no English. And the owner is NOT on site. read more

The service provided at Taiwan Spa was great! The owner(s) are very friendly and professional. I visited the first time this past Thursday for a reflexology service due to having achy sore feet. I did not know what to expect but I will definitely return for another reflexology service. My reflexology appointment began with a brief feet soaking/bath in a dimly lit room with the sounds of soothing music playing in the background. Next, was a massage with every single pressure point activated in my feet! Oh boy did I feel this! For me, it was a hurt-feel-good feeling. At the end of my service my feet were massaged again along with the calves & thighs, and a hot soothing towel wrapped around my newly relaxed feet. read more

I love this place. Have had several types of massages here with several different people and all were great. They really listen to what you want and do it. Taiwan Spa is hands down one of the best massage place in Richmond! I've tried a number of places and this place hits all of the right spots every single time. Worth every penny and I feel uber relaxed after seeing Judy. You should definitely give them a try! read more

Had a great 90 minute deep tissue massage. My hamstrings and lower back were very tight and she took great care in warming up the muscles before beginning deep tissue and did a nice stretch of my entire body at the end of my massage. read more

I suddenly wanted a massage and was able to get a same day appointment. I had tried some of the more well-known massage studios and either they didn't answer the phone or they had no appointments available until later in the week. Taiwan Spa had very good reviews so I figured what the heck. I'm no massage aficionado, I was just sore. I arrived promptly and was greeted and escorted to my room. Had a 90 minute massage and it was great. The masseuse really got into my shoulders as that's where my tension and soreness was. Overall, very nice ambiance and great customer service. I plan on returning. read more

Scheduled a deep tissue massage for 2, for the missus and myself. Staff was friendly and prompt. Docked one star because wife was pretty bruised the next day then developed a shoulder blade pain, then again the wife has a high pain threshold and didn't tell her masseuse earlier enough.... On the other hand, my massage was great! my masseuse hit all the areas of issues for me (shoulder, mid back, low back, and glutes) Definitely will be coming back... at least for myself.... read more

I've had many massages from many different places. This is one of the most relaxing experience that I've had in a while. The pressure for the massage was on point. I'm glad that they were able to accommodate on areas where I'd like harder pressure and areas where I want a little softer. The prices are very affordable, under $1 a minute. Most places I've been are more expensive, at least $1 a minute. The wait time is, no wait time at all... as they seem to have a lot of staff members. The hot stone massage which was part of the 60 min massage was very unique and felt amazing. They use a flat circular stone that slides up and down your body with ease. I took my mother with me here and she too felt amazing afterwards. I definitely recommend this place to others as this place has top notch massage with affordable prices. read more

I was a walk-in and was taken right away. The best way I can describe my massage was amazing torture. This is not a relaxing massage, Wendy worked into all of my knots and pressure points. I am a massage envy regular and this was an amazing value for the price. read more

I travel to Richmond multiple times a year for work, and always try and squeeze in a visit here. The therapists here are fantastic and have given me some of the best massages I've had. I prefer a lot of pressure and usually end up sore for days after a deep tissue treatment, but here they manage to do deep pressure and I'm never sure after. Their prices are also wonderful! read more

I just had an amazing massage by Hellen at Taiwan Spa. Although I've had many massages over the years, this one stood out- she is outstanding. I'm a dance instructor and my body takes a lot of wear and tear- she worked out every kink, knot, and sore spot without me even telling her what needed work. I left feeling like a million bucks.
