Out of habit/ loyalty, I went to the company that normally prints my business cards - and received both a bad product and terrible service! Naturally, I refused to purchase the cards, but now found myself in a pinch. I needed business cards immediately, but did not have a print vendor. I remembered meeting a gentleman from Allegra Print & Imaging at a networking event. I contacted Allegra and immediately felt relieved. First, I explained the problem with the order I refused to purchase from the original printing company. Based upon their knowledge and expertise, Erin, the Allegra employee assisting me, was able to identify what she thought was the problem - very helpful. Second Erin showed me a variety of paper samples as well as discussed finishing options to make sure I would be happy with the final product. This was something my previous vendor had never taken the time to do. Finally, Erin provided me with several pricing options based upon paper, finish, and number of cards ordered. Ironically, when I received my new cards, several days later (ordered on Thursday afternoon and received the rush order on Monday) they looked better than my original cards AND my order contained double the amount of cards for less than what I had previously been paying. Kudos to Erin and the team at Allegra Print & Imaging! Not only do they provide awesome service, but a quality product at a great price!

And of course when you think of large-scale printing and copying the most common thing that pops into your head is Kinko's. And that's not necessarily bad. Kinko's offers great services, but I always felt that maybe their prices were a bit on the high side, given that they're really the only printing services company with any widespread, national name recognition. I always thought there had to be another printer with prices that were a bit cheaper, but still had great customer service. Then one day I saw some amazing posters from a co-worker and asked where she had them done. She told me of another co-worker of mine whose father owned a printing company and did amazing work. So I talked to him, wondering why he had never said anything before. He didn't want there to be any type of conflict-of-interest, so he never mentioned it. But since I brought it up, now he could tell me all about it. And that's how I learned of KPB Commercial Printing. A small operation opened in 1994 by three individuals (the KPB stands for their last names...Kanet Pol & Bridges) this printer does tremendous work at great prices while providing stellar customer service. I used them strictly for printing posters, flyers, and an occasional banner (one time I did order wrists bands from them), but they do offer other services as well. You can create your own design and send it to them to be copied, or if you need the help, they have graphic designers on staff who will take your ideas and create the poster for you. As I mentioned before, the customer service was great. Basic orders such as posters and flyers are almost always done by the next day. And delivery is made by an employee of the company, usually one of the owners...usually Mr. Bridges. As a matter of fact I dealt directly with Mr. Bridges on almost every order I placed and as a customer I couldn't have been more pleased. Polite, courteous, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always looking out for the best interest of his customers. On at least two occasions, he personally delivered a proof of a poster for my approval, when the easiest thing would have been to just e-mail a copy of what it looked like. Customer service doesn't get much better than that. When I first started doing business with KPB, nobody could beat their prices. After awhile though, they did start to inch up. Prices can be a little higher than normal (they are after all a small privately-owned company that has to compete with a corporate giant like Kinko's) but they are very reasonable. And the customer service and quality of the work is such that the extra pennies you spend are well worth it. It's a great company, with great employees, and great services. Tri-fecta! I had purchased my car recently and was looking to have the windows tinted. I called and was able to get my car scheduled in the next weekend and I felt the price was fair. I have taken previous cars to one other shop and their quality had went down hill dramatically. Nice shop and friendly staff. They have a few different options for tint. They have a high end ceramic tint that you can use. Only complaint is that you can see what looks like ALOT of blue lint balls left behind that is now trapped under the tint. There are air bubbles here and there, which is expected. But I think that this could have been avoided or should have been noticed by the installed before returning the car to me.
