Honestly, I had a great stay here. It was a quick trip for a funeral sadly. It was very convenient…read more I drove a little bit further for this location just because it felt safer to me as a woman traveling alone. This location was pretty safe and I like how the hotel is all inside the lobby if you know what I mean. Versus other hotels that have outside individual entrances to each room, I don't like that. I had already registered online so the lady in the front was just waiting to give me my key. It was pretty quick and easy. The price was very reasonable compared to others around the area. It's definitely worth the money for the safety and peace. The room was very clean and nice. I got my complementary breakfast in the morning. It was a pretty good spread. I got some fresh coffee as well when I woke up and on my way out. I will definitely be staying in this hotel when I'm around the area.

Let me start off by a warning. It's the practice of this location to announce your room number out…read moreloud. I asked two different front desk clerks on different days. It's not like other locations that they only circle your room number on the paper or tell you it's on the card. This threw me off when I checked in. I've been to other locations, but this is the only location that does this. Other than that, my stay was good. Parking is free, and there are spaces around the hotel. As long as you have your room ley, you can enter any door to access the hotel, especially after curfew hours (9pm). Breakfast is included, and they keep it pretty clean. The only complaint I have about this is the juice machine for the apple and orange juice. It wasn't cold and tasted like it's been sitting in warm temp, so it tasted like it was starting to ferment. By the elevator, before you turn to it, the fitness center is there. Multiple guests used it, but space is limited, so I didn't use it. They have a water refill station and guest laundry (self-service), just almost adjacent to the elevator. They have a mini business center just by the front desk when you enter the lobby. You need to ask for housekeeping if you need one. My room was clean, so I only needed to ask for refresh once during my stay. There a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Also coffee maker. This location is convenient, it's in the middle of 2 fwy going north and south. There's a gas station literally outside the hotel and food establishments. Location was really a plus.

The hotel is easy to find right off the 99 freeway at the intersection of Sisk Road and Bangs Ave. Plenty of parking. Check in was easy and efficient with the friendly front desk staff, I even got my rewards points posted. My room was clean and ready. First thing I do is check the WiFi and log in my laptop. Yep, everything is working fine, speed is fine. Looking in the bathroom, everything is clean and no stray hairs not of my color or creepy crawly guys running about. The hot water is good and hot, cause I love to take long hot showers when stay at hotels, cause my hot water at home sure doesn't last that long! Breakfast is good as usual, all the same stuff as all the Holiday Inn Expresses. Hot entrees, like eggs, potatoes, and the amusing pancake machine I never use. I love those cinnamon rolls for sure! This hotel is a good location, I'll stay here again.

Breakfast is standard boring stuff BUT they had SOS (shit-on-shingle) which is sausage gravy w/ biscuits, my Fav! Rooms are clean & functional, great shower - but the tub slopes inward which hurt my feet. Weird things: 1) bathroom door auto closes, so you must prop it for proper air circulation, 2) bathroom smelled smoky but not sure why. Must be from AC vent, 3) bathroom tiles are white and easily scuffed very dirty from my indoor flip-flops. Overall, a really great stay. Has a full fitness center, complimentary breakfast & coffee, some cookies in evening but they go fast, plenty of free parking, near restaurants, Walmart, TJ-Maxx, and mall. Hint - go up the street for happy hour at BJ's.

This place will always have customers because of the location next to the highway and their brand…read morename, and they clearly know it. There is way too much deferred maintenance. Aside from a comfortable place to sleep with breakfast in the am, much was left to be desired. We checked into our Queen suite at night for a softball tournament, with a reservation for four. Only two towels were provided! Some of our party were already sleeping when one took a shower and we discovered neither the bathtub nor sink drained. The toilet tissue holder and soap dish holder in the shower were both loose and wobbly. There were no lightbulbs in any of the bedside lamps. Of course housekeeping would have known about all of this, but management hadn't addressed it. The next am we reported the issues and they moved us to another room across the hall and we promptly left for the tournament. After a full day of playing and watching softball in 95 degree heat, we discovered our second room lacked a drain stopper in the bathroom sink. Surely housekeeping noticed. Why wasn't it replaced? You could see a foot down the drain to where it curved toward the wall. No surprise that a drain fly appeared in the sink later that evening. Gross! We covered the drain with the soapdish. The bathtub spout wouldn't shut off. It dripped water at a fast rate the entire time. Another thing that could be a quick fix. Also the toilet ran periodically. And the security latch was loose on the wall by the door. Good luck being secure in your room! There was a gap in the wall behind the toilet around the pipe. I went to use the plug in the bedside lamp base and someone else's plug had broken off in there so it was unusable. It just felt as if no one was paying attention to maintenance and upkeep. There was only one chair in our room though we had four people. So if you weren't in the one chair the only other place to sit was on a bed. And only one person could use the table as you need a chair to use it. There seemed to be a big focus on half dividing wall and two tvs, one facing each bed but there could have been more functional furniture than two tvs, more chairs or a couch. When doors closed within the hotel, our new room shook. The hallway door to the stairwell that is supposed to keep out those without room cards didn't close well without being shoved so it was often propped open, creating a security issue. When you shove your shoulder into the door to close it, the force of the closing shakes the building and if it has been shoved closed you can turn the knob and lean your whole body in the opposite direction and still have trouble opening it. Another security issue is most parking is on the sides of the building and in the back where there is less lighting and no security and someone is always hanging out in the parking lot. Some are customers sitting near their worktrucks to smoke and some are unsavory individuals going through trash cans but either way it doesn't feel safe and secure to walk from the parking lot to the door that requires a key card. That door also doesn't close quickly behind you and resists being rushed if you pull it. The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures and it had a sheen on top of it. The kids were excited to swim after the tournament but we decided it wouldn't be here and we swam at another hotel where a teammate was staying. Signage was confusing and indicated our room was in two different directions. It also indicated ice makers were on every floor but there was only one on the third floor. We took the elevator the first night and it was super slow for only going up two floors and very noisy. There were all manner of things scratching at the elevator as we rose. It sounded like night of the living dead. Breakfast was ok. The waffles are the star of the show. Sliced deli meat was offered for breakfast one morning. Um no! Powdered eggs are meh. Coffee from the machine is meh. Aside from all that, I slept comfortably. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend this place.

I didn't feel like staying there but we moved rooms and stayed. Our stay was for 3 days. They only clean the room every other day but we asked for towels and trash pickup the 1st night and they said yes but never did it. There was 6 people in the room (me, my husband and my 4 small children). The trash piled on quick. They picked it up the 2nd night. We checked out and in was grabbing some coffee from the lobby when one of the cleaning ladies walked up to the desk lady and started complaining about cleaning a room (almost like it's her job or something!) she proceeded to mention room 211 in Spanish and how disgusting it was and how they had to pick up the towels. My family was room 211 and I speak Spanish. I told the receptionist in Spanish that they should really be careful who they speak about because that is very unprofessional. The receptionist aggressively "defended" herself and instead of being apologetic for making a mistake , she kept telling me that "she didn't say anything" I told her she went along instead of putting a stop to it and that they should spend more time cleaning the rooms instead of trash talking about guests and perhaps the hotel wouldn't have live cockroaches hanging around. The lady proceeded to get loud with me and argue and telling me I should leave , as if I made a mistake. I took her picture because she refused to give me her name and she kept telling me " I just work here, what do you want me to do" This place should be embarrassed by the dirty rooms and poor customer service given by the employees. It was ridiculous that they would behave that way and I can only imagine what else they say about guests. Save yourself the disgust and pay a little more to avoid this place. I hope the owners see this review and I will also be contacting corporate and hope they look at the cameras and see the poor way the employees treat guests. This lady should work in a basement where she has no contact with anyone else . It is obvious she hates her job and doesn't care whether guests are happy or not. She is costing the owners money and is causing them to lose business.
