Laura is hands down the best acupuncturist on Kauai. She doesn't throw Needles in you and then walk away for an hour while you lay there. She is hands-on the whole time with tuning forks, E-Stim, Moxa, cupping, essential oils and more. I love that she really pays attention, communicates, and then gives you what you need. Laura is not one of those acupuncturists who puts a needle in some random location on your body where it's not feeling pertinent at the time. She really addresses the areas in which you need the work and ask for attention. I will be seeing Laura for many years to come. read more

If you need acupuncture and you're on Kauai, you need to see if Laura has time in her schedule for you. She's such a talented and gifted, intuitive acupuncturist, with lots of modalities at her fingertips. You tell her about yourself and she'll have a discussion with you about the best course of action. I will tell you that she put me into a state of Nirvana. I was having the beginning of a cold and trouble with my asthma. Laura knew just what to do. By the time the session was over, I felt like my old self and no more cold! Laura is amazing! I was in excruciating pain from a pinched nerve in my jaw and a knot in my back and she was able to squeeze me in the very next day. I haven't had acupuncture in over 10 years and I was very comfortable and relaxed. I began to feel better almost immediately after the first few needles were placed! I'm terrified of needles and Laura made me feel comfortable enough that I was able to relax and not get too anxious. If you are a local or a visitor and are in need of acupuncture, look no further! Laura is very special. I feel so lucky to have found her while vacationing in Kauai. So much so that I had 2 sessions with her while there, and enrolled the husband to get time with her too! Laura is just a healer. Extremely intuitive, as well as kind and generous. She uses multiple modalities and creates a unique approach for each person. I don't know that everyone uses tuning forks but Laura does and that is a huge bonus, but that is only one of MANY modalities she incorporated in our time together. She really listens to you and works hard when you're with her. I felt like there wasn't a part of my body or one of my senses that didn't get addressed. Very holistic. And she hits your issues - square on. The immense stress, complete lack of energy, and that empty "i have nothing to give" feeling. The pain that showed up in my shoulders, neck, hips, and back. She cracked me open in the best way possible and I experienced immense healing - inside and out. I couldn't believe it when the next day when i was able to turn my neck farther back - without any pain and complete ease - than I had been able to do in literally YEARS. My spirit was lighter and I felt recharged in way I also had not felt in quite some time. My husband had ruptured his achilles heel in the spring and had Laura focus on that area. He is admittedly is skeptical of most things, but said how much better it felt - more than anything else he's done to it - and he had a lot of PT. I wish so much she was here. Went to see Laura... it was great. I've been under lots of stress and having a few issues with pain and tension. She did a great job helping me reset. Laura is an amazingly compassionate, kind, and gifted healer. I am a physician and have been treated by the best of the best and Laura is at the top of that long list of healers who have worked on me. Her skills are second to none and she was able to help me deeply relax and allow her to go very deeply into my core issues. She uses tuning forks, and other instruments that produce a deep healing on many more levels than the average acupuncturist. I wish I lived near her for more frequent treatments. Here in San Francisco, we of course have some amazing healers, but very few are at Laura's level. I had a bad allergic reaction to something and broke out in itchy hives and my eyes were swollen and red. I emailed Laura for an appointment at her community acupuncture clinic on Tuesdays. She placed the needles in and also used tuning forks and let me be. She is very gentle, always making sure you are comfortable. After about an hour and a half I woke up from resting. I felt better already. She advised me to drink aloe vera juice to help with the skin stuff. I am so glad I went to see her.
