Considering the access they have to your house, it was important that everyone was trust-worthy, courteous, and passed the German Shepherd sniff test...all passed with flying colors. The crew did a great job sealing everything and making it look as pretty as it was effective. Their pricing was also extremely fair, literally coming in at half the price of at least one other competitor. I do not predict needing their service for many years, but when I do have an insulation issue, these guys will be the first call I make.

House was built in 1999, and definitely was stuggling in the summer like most do. Plus I have been in the HVAC industy 23 years so I understand R values and the importance of insulation for efficiency standards. Wally came out to look everything over and take measurements. He recommended that we top off the existing Rockwall insulation with 10" of new blown-in Rockwool Premium Plus, resulting in a new R value of R-40+ as there was nothing wrong with the existing so no need to remove it. Two man team came a couple weeks later, very professional and quickly blew in the new insulation, let me take a look in the attic to make sure it looked good, cleaned up and left. Even came back a week or so later to install an attic hatch for even better efficiency. Martha was who I dealt with the most via text and phone. She's very timely and will keep up with everything to make sure all goes smoothly. Just all around a great experience which seems to be lacking these days with many companies. Highly recommend using Insulation Commandos. Very fair pricing and amazing customer service!

At no point was there a push to sell or upsell. His main focus was to ensure that the customer got the most from his visit. Will be using their services to fix some of the issues identified. The duct cleaning was scheduled for a different day. The techs arrived early and were very efficient and thorough in the job they performed. The work and cleanup was completed to my satisfaction. The pricing for the duct cleaning is competitive in comparison to other companies in the market. I highly recommend the services of Climate Doctors for your duct cleaning and sanitation. Chances are if you live in an older home not built up to today's building codes, and even if you…read moredo, the insulation & ventilation in your attic may not be up to par with the current standards. My home was built in the late '70s, and the previous homeowners did nothing to rid the home of its original rockwhool insulation. The minuscule 6-8" of insulation that was once in my attic was ridden with rodent feces/urine, turning to dust, and wasn't as effective as it once was. This not only caused my home to have imbalanced heating/cooling, but also strained my HVAC system, making it work significantly harder than it otherwise would. Combine the lack of insulation with improper ventilation, and you set yourself up for a home that's not comfortable to live in, while in the process of taking precious dollars away from your pocket, all due to increased electric/gas bills. I called Energy Attic back in 2019 to see what they had to say about my attic, and they came out to do an energy audit. They filled me in on everything that was wrong, and what I could do to fix it. The estimate they provided was very insightful, breaking down the cost of every service, and allowing you as a homeowner to do what's best for your house and pocketbook. At the time I was unable to afford the job, so I decided to hold off on the project. Fast forward to early 2022, I gave them yet another call, and due to a mishap in getting the square footage of my home incorrect (was overestimated due to some vaulted ceilings), we decided to have them come back out to my house to give things a look. I spoke with their sales representative Mike for a decent amount of time, making sure I understood what was best. Mike's insight was incredibly valuable, and I ended up going with a whole host of things to improve my attic space: - Removing all old insulation - Sealing any air gaps - Spraying in fiberglass insulation to R49 (16") - Installing a radiant barrier - Upgrading existing fan with a solar fan Energy Attic ended up scheduling the job for the next week, and three of their employees ended up working for nine hours, knocking everything out of the park the same day. I've had a lot of contractors & such work on my home, and these gentlemen treated my home with dignity, cleaning up after themselves, and ensuring the job is done perfectly. Almost immediately I was able to notice the consistency in temperature throughout the home, and not just that, but also my HVAC system kicking on less. I'm stoked that the days of dealing with certain rooms being colder/hotter than others are gone, and my attic space can properly reflect any heat thrown at it away with the radiant barrier, and push any heat out that did get in with the solar fan, regardless of wind conditions outside. While a job like this is costly, making your home comfortable to live in year-round is very much worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Energy Attic for any of your attic or HVAC needs. I'm pleased with what they have done, and I can't lie, my attic space sure does look better than ever!

I know for a fact that I asked if the quote and payment we gave for attic insulation, included over the garage. I was told yes, and I know I asked at least three times, and was told yes. The two other people in the home, heard it as well. The over the garage was not insulated. Now I understand, that I should have checked before I left the other review. That's on me. I shouldn't have taken anyone else's word, and I should have gotten the ladder and looked. When I texted the man who came here, I was told yes "no, it only includes over living space". The insulation over the living space is nicely done. I am very pleased with that. Just very irritated that, what I was told was going to happen, and included, turns out it's not.

The job went smoothly and quickly, but there are a few positives and negatives that I'd like to point out. Hopefully this will be helpful to the company. Positives: - This was the most competitive quote I received for this work. - My questions were answered promptly. They were able to provide multiple different quote options in a very timely manner. They also provided the option of cellulose or fiberglass for blown-in; others only provided fiberglass as an option. - This quote provided was one of the few that included top plate to drywall seams for air sealing; most others did not do this, or considered it extra work. - The installers vacuumed up after the work was completed. - The work was overall very un-intrusive to my family life in the home. Negatives/Areas for improvement: - No drop cloths were put down on the floor surfaces around the attic entry, which meant insulation materials could work its way into the carpet. Considering that the cleanup vacuum is just with a simple wet/dry vacuum hose without a carpet attachment, this leaves the burden of in-depth fiberglass cleanup to the homeowner. - No drop cloths were put down over furniture and no corner guards placed around door/wall corners, which meant that the insulation removal and blowing hose left scuffs over furniture and trim surfaces. - Air sealing lacked attention to detail; I found multiple penetrations, some large, that were either missed completely or were not completely filled with foam. And it also appeared that they might have ran out of foam towards the end. - The work includes recessed can light covers, but they appeared to just be haphazardly placed onto the top of the cans with a large gap around the bottom and no air sealing whatsoever. They told me that this allows the fixtures to be serviced if needed, but it seems extremely counterintuitive to the goal of air sealing everything when recessed cans are among the biggest contributors to air leakage. - With review by a thermal camera, I noticed there were a few areas where insulation was missed or not filled up completely.
