Bubbles while I wait to get my hair done!
Edel M.

Bubbles and blow-dry what an excellent idea! I arrived into the bustling Robert Chambers where my coat was taken and I was seated quickly for my consultation. All of a sudden a glass of prosecco arrives! Yes please. I went through various options to change my style with the consultant and he recommended a few different products to try. I was then brought to get my hair washed. Another surprise- massage chairs! Every hair salon should have these. What a treat! I walked out at the end of the evening feeling great. Thanks to the great staff and Emily for a such a special event!

Loving my curly blowdry!

Had a brilliant time at this event! From the moment that I stepped in I felt really well taken care of. The consult was really helpful and the pampering that followed was so nice! The staff are really friendly and professional. I only wish I could make my hair look this nice myself! Thank you all for a wonderful evening!

Goodie bag heaven!

Fantastic event! I felt like a super star from start to finish. While they washed my hair I was in a massage chair and it was magic. Really nice and professional staff. Also Kim K called and she wants her hair back, that is how good it looks. I will be back and thank you all for a wonderful night!

Great event, I felt so lucky! Nicola was really nice and gave me some advice about my next hair colouring. Glass of prosecco and magazine and I am one happy bunny! Really nice conditioning treatment, my hair feels so soft! And it's a really lovely bouncy blowdry too! Very happy with the Wella goodie bag too! Will be back to RChambersSalon soon, very professional and friendly!

What a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday evening...being pampered, preened and given awesome hair care advice to boot, a girl couldn't ask for more really! The salon feels exclusive and ultra modern and the staff are uber knowledgeable and super friendly so you feel in capable hands the moment you walk through the door. My hair consultation with Dermot was really great, he gave me so much advice on the best way to care for and style my naturally unruly waves without causing undue damage and stress. Have already taken his tips onboard and have found styling my hair easier already, many thanks Dermot! After the consultation it was off to the basins for a treatment and relaxing head massage before having my hair blowdried into bouncy, full curls. I would definitely return to Robert Chambers, they are so professional and really seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to hair, would also recommend it for anyone looking to treat themselves and get a style overhaul.

Wonderful event. I will definitely be returning to Robert Chambers. I was greeted with a glass of prosecco and a smiling face. I have been told by friends the prosecco is common place not just from the fancy yelp crowd. The consultation from Athos was hugely informative and has given me some things to consider before I return for my next cut. He even trimmed my fringe before the styling began. After a wonderful pampering I emerged with beautifully smooth luxurious hair, ready for my selfie photo session. The goody bag was the icing on the cake. :D

This was the best thing ive been to in a long time. From the bubbles to the massaging chairs to the amazing advice I dont know which part was my favourite. Got there to a very smiley staff who took my coat and bags and offered me a seat and a glass of prosecco, complete with raspberry, straight away. We waited for everyone to get settled in then the lovely Tamar came out and told us what the night would entail. I had my cut and colour consultation with Tamar who was brilliant! She is the first hairdresser probably ever to actually listen to me about my hair and without even saying that much she just understood my hair, what my problems were, things I hate about it. Straight away she suggested a new hair cut which I had been thinking of getting anyway, she also suggested ways I could brighten up my otherwise dull and unexciting do. :) After the consultation Rachel came and took me through to the sinks area to get my hair washed. To my absolute delight they have seats that recline with a footrest and then you sit in the chair and......WOW massaging chair. Ive never been so relaxed getting my hair washed in a salon before. This was amazing. The shampoos and conditioners which were used smelled amazing and left my hair looking wonderful and feeling softer than it has in many a moon. On to the all important blowdry. I wasnt really sure what I wanted so Tamar came over and suggested a soft curly blowdry. Rachel did the blowdry and she was so gentle, One of my pet hates is when hairdressers really struggle with your hair knots(and as my hair is curly and it was particularly windy that day you can imagine the state of mine). Rachel was amazing and she chatted away as she did an amazing job of styling my hair. When Rachel finished, Tamar came back over and showed me a few tricks for my hair with the blowdryer which I was delighted with! To top it all off.....the goodie bag. Im a sucker for free things (arent we all?!). This goodie bag was amazing as I was just expecting sample size sachets and stuff. I was delighted to see two full size bottles of product and a load of little ones. There was also a USB which was blank. I'm not sure if it was meant to be but sure no harm in getting a free 4gb USB. :) Thank heaven for the 30%off voucher as I am dying to go in and get Tamar to cut my hair and make it as amazing as it sounded yesterday! Thanks Yelp and Robert Chambers for having us and making me feel like a million euro! :)

It's been so long since I went to the hairdressers that I had forgotten all the lovely little rituals that went along with a visit. The introductions. The chat about what was going to be done today. The running of hands through the hair to get a feel for condition length and texture. The donning of the protective gowny-thing. The washing and conditioning. Oh it's so nice to be pampered. It's particularly nice to be pampered in such a luxurious environment. Various staff members took our coats, offered us prosecco, advised us on treatments, colours and cuts and it was just all sorts of lovely. I was given a run-down of the strengths and vulnerabilities of my hair type, advised on how to manage it and given straight-up advice gently and in a non-dictatorial way. Everyone I spoke to was thrilled with their salon-fresh hair - Victoria looked like she had walked out of an audition for Gwyneth Paltrow's hair double - and the great thing was it was no-nonsense advice on how to maintain your hairstyle as well as how a professional can help with that. There was no hard-sell, just reliable and inspiring sharing of knowledge and experience. Thanks everyone at Robert Chambers and a big thank you to Emily and all at Yelp!

BEFORE-what will they do to the wild beast?!

Such a wonderful treat!! It felt so good to be pampered in such a friendly and professional environment. First, introductions by Tomar (?) and then an individual consult by Thiago, who gave advice on cuts, colouring, conditioning and a glass of bubbly with a raspberry. Afterwards, the hair wash-oh my goodness. Having my hair washed and then my scalp massaged, while sitting in those lovely massage chairs. Not what I'm used to, but something I could totally get on board with. After that, my hair was wrapped in my biodegradable towel (to be used only once) and I was brought back to Thiago, who gave me loads of advice and suggestions, while he blow-dried and twirled my hair and made me feel fabulous. Totally delighted with the end result and I'm excited to use my voucher for my cut as well as the swag we were given at the end. A huge thanks to Thiago, Tomar and the rest of the Robert Chambers crew, and of course to Emily and YELP! So happy to be an Elite!

Thanks guys!! Absoloutely great service!

I popped in late one evening, and as expected all the lovely donuts were gone. However, the lad on the counter prompted me with a donut style ice cream cone filled with vanilla ice cream. I was hesitant at first, but after my first bite of that doughy cone I was very pleased with my choice! The dough was so tasty and the ice cream complemented the sweetness!

I used to do a lot of Reformer Pilates but it's been a while and so I was looking forward to trying out this studio as it's closer to where I live now than my previous studio. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcome as Steph greeted each of us as we entered. Steph walked us through the movements very clearly and in a very relaxed manner, while walking around and adjusting us if and when necessarily. I was very impressed with her knowledge and explanations. She gave advice where needed and offered suggestions if some of the movements aggravated injuries. She set a really relaxed atmosphere from her supportive and encouraging manner, and I think everyone felt confident in the knowledge that she clearly knows what she is doing. I think it's safe to say that her continuous encouragement made everyone feel increasingly at ease as the class went on, and even I started to feel my inner belly dancing guru come out when she introduced funky music to the scenario!.. And then she had me promise to take her as my +1 when possible. That was the best start of the day one can have on a Tuesday !!!!! 1 star for the HOSTESS : I arrived at 4 Dame Lane with my buddy and I saw her. Emily, the one, the only ! Wearing a gold disco ball like dress and flowers in her hair... A vision ! And on top of that she is the sweetest... What can you do, some people have it, some don't... and she does :) 1 star for the SHOWMAN : He was reading the numbers like no one, warming up the room like a fire in a boys scout camp and generously distributing gifts - even for those who were lost in the game ;) - like Santa on Xmas day ! 1 star for the FOOD : To be brutally honest with you, I am not a big fan of chicken wings because they are usually very spicy. There I said it, now throw me the first fluffy pillow I don't care ! What happened is I was super hungry, like starving, and I had a chicken wing... And I loved it ! It was not too spicy and it was actually really tasty with the white sauce dip. So I approve and will probably go back because - why not ? :D 1 star for the OVERALL EXPERIENCE : From start to finish the evening was just amazing ! Oh and I had a line at some point in the game and shouted LIIINE !! I think everybody heard me. I have never been to 4 Dame Lane before, so I was really keen to give it a whirl. A great location with inviting flame sconces outside, how could one not like it. Inside is laid out really well, with fantastic floor spaces and the bar is easily accessible from all areas. Bingo is awesome. Wings are awesome. Put them together and you have a recipe for success, no matter the age group. Add in some bling and you've got me hook line and sinker. The night was thrilling, three numbers, two numbers.. ONE NUMBER TO GO! Unfortunately for me, I never got to shout blingo, but I very much enjoyed the experience. If I was to give some criticism it would be the following: 1. We found it very difficult to hear the numbers being called out. We sat right down the back as there were no other seats. I know there was a light up sign with the numbers, but I would highly recommend this be put up higher for all to see. 2. No non-alcoholic beers?! I don't really drink, so i would usually grab a non-alcoholic beer. I figured there wouldn't be an issue seeing as I had two tickets and would happily trade both for one. However as they weren't part of the deal, I opted for a soft drink which wasn't exactly ideal. 3. The wings could be a wee bit better. Maybe I'm spoiled from spending so much time at Blue Bar, but the wings were just okay to me. From speaking with my table, we all agreed. These minor issues aside, yes I would probably attend another blingo night at 4 dame lane, price depending.
