The atmosphere gives a luxury feel, which is why I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the customer service didn't match the premium prices. My appointment started with my manicure. My nail technician, Jack, never introduced himself or made me feel welcome. Throughout my appointment, he seemed more interested in his phone and interacting with his coworkers . The experience felt impersonal from the start. Afterward, I went for my pedicure. The pedicure technician Steven asked which pedicure service I wanted, and got started. I was never offered a complimentary beverage or informed that drinks were included with the service. What stood out to me the most was watching another customer sitting next to me receive a completely different experience. Her pedicure technician warmly greeted her, handed her the menu book, and offered her complimentary beverages. I was never offered a drink or told refreshments were available. I've been to a few salons in New York City (Manhattan) that charged even more than this one in Long Island (Bayshore), but the customer service was exceptional. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel welcomed and appreciated, and you understand exactly why you're paying those prices. If you're going to charge luxury prices here on Long Island, the service should reflect that. Luxury pricing should come with a luxury experience! The salon itself is beautiful, and the cleanliness is definitely a plus. However, professionalism, attentiveness, consistency, and making every client feel equally valued are just as important as the quality of the nails. She said I received a text which I did for an appointment I had that day. Not the day before. I asked her to get a manager so I could deal with this. She said "absolutely not, and I'm hanging up because you are getting rude." She hung up. There's no way to get my money back. Mind you, I had been going there for 12 years and never no showed once. Never had a late charge. If feels very wrong to be treated that way after so many years of patronage to a business. Do not go to Bayshore EWC.
