Blow and Drive! Drives you crazy and just blows! After paying for a full year $390 upfront, my first scheduled appointment was a no show. I called to see what happened and reschedule the service. Calling can be a nightmare as you have to call in to the main line, wait on hold for 30 minutes or so, and when you finally get through to someone they ask you for all of your information every time, your full name, address, phone number, car make and model, everything... they have nothing on file, this might not be so bad but after having to call in over 12 times in three weeks it gets annoying. The second appointment did not go well either, but at least this time the guy showed up. The technician worked on my car for two hours and was unable to install the device on my car this was a little bit frustrating after waiting all day (they have a six hour window of when the tech will arrive). So once again I called in, this time it was to cancel and get refunded but after going through all my information again they told me they were not able to refund me and some one would have to call me back. About an hour later Carlos, the head tech called me and said he could do it. Carlos and I set up an appointment and on the third try with this company he was finally able to get it installed. I wish this was where my story ended but sadly one week later, of course the device is not working, I'm stuck at a gas station I called the company for help on what to do but of course no answer and no replies, all night. I had to have Triple AAA come and tow it. The device died and would not even power on, it also drained my battery. As I am now very upset I called in, once again giving all my information after waiting on hold demanding to get this removed from my car and to be refunded, I was told someone would call me back, which to me was unacceptable. I was finally able to get the name and number of the owner, Jay Lopez and let me tell you this guy is one hell of a "donkey" if you catch my drift. Not only was he rude but just didn't seem to care, we were able to set up to have the device removed from my vehicle with in the next two days. Once again I wish that was the end but no after the tech removed the device that night my car when haywire, all the lights on the dash lit up and it would not start saying it was locked in anti theft mode. I was able to get a hold of the head tech Carlos who knew exactly what happened, he told me I had to take it in to the dealers and get all my codes reset because they disconnected it incorrectly. I have to have my car towed to the dealer and pay $300 to have it fixed, so if your counting that's now $690 I have spent due to blow and drive. I call Carlos once this is all set and done not only to thank him as he was the only one that was helpful but to get a refund, Carlos apologized and said he would talk to his boss, Jay Lopez to see what he can do. I wait for my call but of course Jay never calls me, so I call him, he does not give me a refund but wants to see paperwork. OK I can respect that so I text and email him copies of all my paperwork, he says he would look it over and get back to me. I have tried calling him but I think he blocked my number, I paid $690 for this whole event and never received a refund, (it has now been more than two months) I am now filing a small claims case. I know this is my fault as I was the one who got the DUI which is requiring me to have this device installed but I am in the customer service industry and have been so for 15 years. Blow and Drive is just plain outright bad, quick to take your money and then they are gone. I have since then gone with Golden State Interlock and not to say the device has not had its problems but every time I have one they are right there ready to help and fix it and they actually seem to care.
