Save your time. They charge you then dont show up the time they said. Their CA Cert. was revoked last month, who knows why or when itll happen again. Horrible company. Starting with their forms- and very incompetent people, it took us three forms re filled out to even get my husbands license back. From the start of the installation there were issues with the system not working - yes the main employee even gave us an override code to drive without having to blow for a few days. We moved from CA to TX and then were assured that there was a place to get calibration done as well as removals and installs - lies. Three weeks later we have it installed and we have texted - called - left messages and no response. Now a week before we are due to be charged and us threatening court they yell at us and tell us to keep it, refuse to remove it without charges not in "contract". I'm taking them to court. Blow and Drive has been nothing but amazing! Originally when I called I spoke to Darren. He answered all of my questions and concerns to the tee. He understood my anticipation and excitement to get the interlock in my vehicle so I could finally get my licence back! I had the installation of the interlock in my vehicle the next morning. My technician Nate was very thorough with explaining how everything works and very patient with all my questions. I had called around to get pricing and they were the cheapest by far. The device is great...when it turns on. It worked great the first 5 days or so, turning on within 15 seconds of holding down the power button. Then it wold randomly take over a minute and thirty seconds. This morning it took me over 45 minutes to get it to turn on, trying everything I could think of. I was late to work twice this week because of this device. The representative/installer, Alex, is a nice guy but that isn't going to get me to work on time. I don't know if it is a hardware or software issue, but after reading other reviews it seems as though I am definitely not the only one experiencing this issue. This needs to be fixed as it has the potential to really hinder people's lives. A company will only let an employee come in late so many times before they decide to terminate them which I can see being a lawsuit waiting to happen for this company. All-in-all, if this thing worked the way it did the first 5 days, I would gladly rate this company/product 5 stars, but the sad reality is that it does not, and I have only had it for 2 weeks. This company was once great over the years it has just become a horribly run company. First started when they use to advertise that they are the only interlock company that will let you see your actual BAC which was a nice cool feature that no one else offered but after some time they removed the feature. They also had great response time they offered 24 hour customer service that they took away. I live in Sacramento CA they started out with a local technician who was available to come to you for installs, service, and calibration. But like this company seems to do they give you something then take it away. Then they hired another guy and they gave you a possibility of two possible locations to meet either Elk Grove or Sunrise ave which isn't bad cause I'm like 15 minutes to sunrise. But what do you think happened. Yes!!!! They let him go. They hired another guy and he offered service out of Elk Grove for the calibrations so whatever ok I work near there it's a little further but General area. Mind you Sacramento is a major city, and the geniuses at blow and drive fired the last tech they had. I'm surprised this company is still in business. Can you believe I called to get my device calibrated and this shitty company said ok you can go to Stockton Ca, or some other place which is over two hours from Sacramento. Stockton is not any better it's 1 hour 15 minutes for a 5 minute calibration. Considering sac is a major city wtf would you not have a tech in that area. This company is run be crooks. If I could have had the foresight prior I would have never went with this shitty company. If you are in Sacramento look into another company. Yes $59 is nice but every 2 months you will have to drive over 2.5 hours for 5 minutes. I wish I could sign up with another company but of course that would mean another install fee. So please don't buy this service. If you go to another company yes, they will charge you $15 for a calibration but that is better than the $30 dollars you will pay in gas. Everything they did was ok.. until they had to schedule to take off the machine . Thannnnnn its a big deal. The guy Jay.. he is a giant D Bag... Dick Bag. Not Douche Bag. Don't get me wrong he's a douche as well. But Dick Bag he definitely is...Since most people are forced to use this stuff, no one really cares about how they three you. Very disappointed. Service was not bad. Installation and removal went smoothly for the most part. However, I took my device out 8 months ago and they just charged my credit card out of nowhere. They are unresponsive to my calls, so I'm forced to file dispute with my credit card company. Depending on how they respond to this I may adjust my review, but right now they suck. read more

Ok. We have a lot to unpack here. I'll start by saying that after calling around, blow and drive seems to have fairly reasonable prices. (Installation is "free," but there's an "uninstallation" fee that they charge up front, so out the door, you're looking at about $200 to get the device and pay for your first month. Each month is only about $60, so, it's not bad.) The program director, Mike, was helpful and friendly with setting up an appointment and assigned Joe to me. Joe was THREE HOURS LATE to install my device. When he finally came and installed the thing, he made me fill out the certificate. On the certificate, there's a couple lines to write vehicle info. I filled out one line, and he instructed me to duplicate the information on another line, which I did. What do I know. So he showed me how to use the device and he left. The next morning I was all excited to go to the DMV and FINALLY get my license back. I get in my car, and I can't the device to turn on. I pressed the buttons, plugged and unplugged it, and after about 20 minutes, called Mike. He walked me through some steps and eventually had me go inside and plug it into a USB to try to turn the thing on. I got it on, but once I unplugged it to take it back to my car, it died. This went on and on and on and on. Without the device working, my car was basically useless. Mike recommended buying a battery charger thing to keep in the car to hook up to the USB at all times. I bought one, but again, could not get the damn thing to turn on. I probably called poor Mike like 13 times. Eventually we got the car to the DMV and when my number was finally called, the worker looked at the certificate and said she couldn't accept it because it was filled out wrong! So I had to call Mike again, basically in tears. The device was broken, my car wouldn't start, and now even my certificate was wrong?! He suggested driving out to San Bernardino to get a new certificate. HOW?! I don't have a license without the certificate, AND the bloody car won't start because the device is broken! Finally Mike offered to send Adrian out to the DMV with the correct paperwork and to turn the device on (I think Mike just thought I was a total idiot who couldn't figure out how to hold the blue button down.) So Adrian came out and gave me new paperwork, right at the DMV window, and I got my license! Finally! Then Adrian tried to turn the device on for me. He ended up rewiring the device, and it still wasn't working. eventually, he uninstalled the crap Joe did and gave me a new device with new wires and so far, the thing works great. So, long story short, as long as awful, awful Joe is not assigned to your installation, things should be fine because I had no problems with anyone else read more

My husband has to have an IID for 3 years, for the first year we've had Low Cost Interlock.. no complaints except the constant charges and cost(78$ per month plus calibration fees) so we decided to shop for our 2nd vehicle. This company has done everything they said they would. Easy install (next day), Fair prices with no added cost, and great tech support. It took a couple calls to figure it out but since then Ive had no problems. Ive recommended them to everyone at his DUI class. read more

Completed breathalyzer interlock set up with Nate from BDIC. The experience was a huge surprise since it went so smoothly. EX: the delivery interlock setup agent was prompt driving out to my residence in south Gilbert. He was very efficient and completed all the components of the activation in no time. He was very knowledgeable about the device and believe he has set me up on a path for a solid completion of the department of motor vehicle interlock requirements. One of the WORST, INCONSISTENT, RUDE company's I've ever had to deal with. I have had 4 appointments set up in the past week, and they never showed up. Not even a phone call. Every single time they have come to re-calibrate my device, they either do not show up, or give you no notice and call you when they're there. Blow and Drive has been great since I started using them. I am almost done with my breathalyzer and they have made the whole process manageable and easy to work with. Mike and his team are always super helpful and explain everything as needed. I had to pay for first and last month and then it was $99 fee every month for the device. However, there were no extra costs or fee's for installation, removal or failed tests. If I ever had an issue they had an easy fix and were able to help me on the spot. I love that the device can be wireless in the car so I don't have to worry about having cords wrapped around my feet or in the way. Through this whole experience they have really been great and helpful and I would recommend to anyone having to get a breathalyzer to go through them. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! I had a competitive, more expensive interlock on my older car. When I purchased a new 2017 Hyundai I went with Blow and Drive due to the "trained field service", calibration by phone and attractive pricing. First thing: they did not have trained field service which I didn't find out until I ordered and paid for the thing. Fortunately, a local mechanic friend spent a whole day on the phone with B&D and under the dash of my car while installing the unit. Next, the unit often crashed and I couldn't start the car so they sent me a "plug and play" replacement. The new unit would work ok sometimes but also often crashed like the first unit. Fortunately, every time it did so I had decent cellphone service and could call B&D who would spend 30-45 minutes on the phone instructing me how to reprogram/reboot the unit. IF THE THING CRASHED WHILE I WAS STUCK IN A BLIND CELLPHONE AREA I WOULD BE STRANDED AND WOULD NEED TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED!!! Next, it would require me to blow so many times when I was driving that I simply started to ignore it. When I did so there was no reaction whatsoever, I simply kept driving. Next, I was initially advised I could upload data and reset the unit (required by law every 60 days) over the phone and did so the first couple of times. Eventually, I was advised I needed to take it to an authorized agent every 60 days (no mobile technicians as initially advertised) which I did. In the year or so I had the unit they went through multiple authorized local agents - not a good sign. The closest was 30 miles away. Finally, when it came time to remove the unit I met with yet another new "authorized" and finally mobile agent who was quite unhappy with B&D (apparently, his pay check was running late again). Though he seemed confused with my installation, he finally succeeded in removing the unit however after removal my horn did not work (again BRAND NEW CAR!). When I phoned him he denied any responsibility and advised me to call B&D in LA. I phoned and emailed B&D in LA and advised them of the horn problem. They said take it to the dealer, get it fixed and if it was their problem, they would pay to have it repaired. I took the car to the dealer and had the dealer troubleshoot and repair the horn. He "found left over after-market wiring spliced into the horn circuits and the starter solenoid circuit". $240 later the dealer "removed all wiring, repaired harness at starter solenoid...horn works and vehicle cranks". I've since contacted B&D in LA repeatedly per their offer to pay for the repair. They told me the company is being dissolved and to sit tight sit tight for their response to my request for reimbursement. However, the stock is still being traded on the OTC - an indication the company is NOT being dissolved (See Blow & Drive Interlock Corp OTCM: BDIC). As Blow and Drive continues to be unresponsive, I just downloaded the forms needed to initiate a Small Claims Court suit - been there a few times before... This company has a high employee turnover rate, intermittent or no "field service", incompetent technicians, a system with frequent software bugs that will crash and leave you stranded and a wanton disregard for its customers. COMPANY IS NOT COMPLIANT WITH CA DMV REQUIREMENTS. Had a device installed here in Los Angeles only to be told by the DMV that the company is no longer compliant. Yet, they still install the device and have no timeline for when the issue will be resolved. I used to like this company but I they were so rude to me tonight. I've never ever been called a cotton picker for asking questions. Mike was cool with me from the beginning, but tonight they treated me like a drunk because my machine was giving false positives. Just because I have a dui doesn't mean I'm a drunk. I had just got off work and wanted to go home. I'm sure their pretty busy and he didn't want to answer my questions, but you don't have to treat me like a drunk. He said all his clients like to drink. He apologized for calling me a cotton picker and I forgive him. All I wanted was help. I've never gotten a false positive, so of course I'm gunna have questions! I'm trying to get away from the stigma of being a drunk driver, but he just had to kick me while I'm down and feel like a piece of shit. A cotton picking drunk. I tell him, I'm paying you to talk to me like this? Then he says yea your little 60$ bucks. Like really? I've never ever been so disrespected for asking questions. But imma still pay these guys that 60 bucks a month, just cause their the cheapest I can find. I didn't call you out your name I was very respectful. I was always planning to give them 5 stars, because they have been helpful this whole time. But to go and be racist, I can't. He hung up on me 3 times before giving me the tip about blowing the machine outside your car. The first guy thought I was a drunk too... said he can't answer any more of my questions until I wait thirty minutes. I have the video of the machines numbers rising as I kept trying. They give a two hour window but he comes more then 4 hours late. They are rude on the phone and can't help with any problem that goes wrong with equipment. Which trust me you'll have a lot. I recieved a device without a certific to prove is was instoled to present to DMV. I've been waiting to recieve it for over a week. I was told I would get it when is was installed. I alos want to add the repsentitives that I spoke with were very incompetent people,it has been a little over a week and I haven't recievied prof of it being installed to persent to DMV in order to reinstate my drivers license. I would like to start off by saying shame on me for deleting my first review of this company a few months back. My name is Kalin Hibdon, just so this company knows who is posting as I'm using my fiancé's yelp!!!I had issues with this company initially installing this interlock (the guy that installed it messed up wires and I had to have it redone in another city 30 minutes away to fix his mistake), but they also have issues honoring what I had paid for when I initially had my interlock installed. They would no longer come out to my city, Ventura, to calibrate my device because the laws had changed and they could no longer calibrate over the phone, so they wanted me to drive to Northridge, ( a 2 hour commute there and back for me) , to have my device calibrated. It was frustrating because I chose this interlock company based off of the fact that they come to you and all fees were included with the install/ removal of interlock and monthly fees. After writing my first review, I believe a man by the name of Michael?, had reached out to me and solved the calibrating issues for me and had people come out to calibrate my interlock. He understood that when my interlock was installed they advertised that they would come yo you. Now I understand that laws change, but you need to honor what your customers paid for prior to this change. Michael understood that, fixed my problem, and we moved on. I altered my review and gave them a good rating. Now it's time for my interlock to be removed AND GUESS WHAT??????? They are doing the same thing, telling me I need to drive my leased , mileage calculated, vehicle out to Northridge with my Toddler to have it removed or I have the option to pay another $75.00 to have a tech come out to remove the interlock even though I paid for this to be done in the beginning!!!!! This is insane and ridiculous, had I known it would be like this I would have chosen another interlock company. On top of this the operator that answered the phone, Darrin, was disrespectful and had no desire to assist me with this matter which i tried to resolve prior to this review. Save yourself the headache and choose another company. I have wasted way way way too much time and money dealing with this company that does not honor their advertisement when I signed up. Should be their loss that they have to pay to have someone come to me to calibrate and remove this device because that is what I was promised when I signed up and they sure didn't have an issue taking my monthly payments every month!!!!!!
