After the storm January 2024 with 8 foot dropping in the greater West Seneca area. A week later with the melt we discovered a few of gutters had pulled away and a couple of wind driven siding needs. I contacted Mitchell and spoke with Faith in the office on Monday Jan 29, to be told someone would get back top me in the next couple of days. Wednesday Jan 31, 4:45pm I get a phone call from Mike Buffalo Roofing, could they stop in a few minutes as they had just finished a job close to me. 10 minutes later 3 trucks, 1 trailer & 6 men arrive and correct the damage. They did not have enough gutter hangers to complete the job and said someone would be back sometime in the week to finish up. Thursday Feb 1, literally at 8 am a Buffalo roofing truck pulls into the yard. 2 men are up on the roof before I can coat up and make my way outside, finishing the extra hangers. Very inconsiderate and condescending. By the way, I had two other companies call me promptly, and one agreed to come out in a few days for an estimate. We hired this company to remove our old, broken concrete front steps and pour new ones. While the initial communication was great, it became incredibly un-dependable and hard to come by as the job progressed. Ultimately, it took 7 weeks to complete a 4-step project due to poor craftsmanship and multiple delays. The issues began when the initial pour completely failed inspection. The step measurements were wildly inconsistent--the top step had a 4-inch rise, while the others varied from 7.5 to 8.5 inches from step to step, and it sloped from left to right. When I brought this up, the contractor was defensive, insisting that everything they poured was "up to code" and there was nothing wrong with them. However, they later admitted the mold had been stepped on by the crew. After several communication gaps, missed timelines, and a partial refund discussion, the city inspector officially failed the steps on May 4th, stating they required a complete tear-out and replace due to the safety and rise inconsistencies. The second round of demolition and pouring took another three weeks. Throughout this entire process, I was never notified in advance when plans changed or when the crew would show up. I had to actively chase the contractor for updates just to find out when people would be at my house. While the second set of steps finally passed inspection, they still have visible flaws. Stockmohr roofing replaced the roof on my ranch home in the spring of 2023. They were one of 3…read morecontractors we called to give quotes and they were willing to do the most work (reroofing all the different smaller porch roofs, etc) the soonest. They also gave a discount to my husband for being a veteran. We were very pleased with them. They told us about when we would be on their schedule and then called us a week ahead of time to let us know they would be coming the following week. We did ask them to hold off for a day and we were fine with it. They gave us a full set of instructions on how to protect all our belongings from any damage that might happen while the roof was being replaced. The roofers came and did the work and cleaned up after themselves. After the job was completed the president of the company came out and evaluated the job and let us know of any little problems he noticed and told us a crew would be out to address them. It would be some of the smallest things like the roof looked slightly indented in one spot. We were really pleased with this professionalism and felt Stockmohr really had our best interest in mind. It's been a number of months now and our roof seems to be perfect!
