I know there are people, possibly millions, who like nothing better than to clean moldings and…read morecorners, to dust and sweep and to mop floors to spotlessness. I am not one of them. Sure, I have a lot of excuses-- age, infirmity, injury, procrastination, cats --but I don't really need excuses. The people who clean for others (homes, offices, apartments, boats, trailers...any place people might live or work) know that many people, fortunately millions, either do not like to clean or are unable to, or don't clean well. I am one of them. After 20 years in my apartment, which is in an old house, and sharing that apartment with two cats, the dust of decades has made me throw in the towel (instead of using it to dust). Through Yelp, I sent requests for estimates to several services. CWW Cleaners was the first to respond and the estimate was reasonable. I Googled it and looked at their website, so it didn't bother me that it was new to Yelp. Basil was always quick to respond and was able to get to me quickly. He worked alone for 3 and a half hours. As I'd said when I requested estimates, my apartment is about 800 square feet: living room, bedroom, kitchen, bath. I went out and ran some errands while he was at work. I returned as he was finishing up. Clearly he had worked methodically from back to front, mopped his way out, even taking the trash with him. What I had requested was dusting everywhere and clean kitchen and living room floors (wood and stone). First thing I noticed was that my apartment did not smell dusty. And it smelled clean. As I went about the rest of my day, I noticed he had done much more than just dusting and floors. He had even washed the few dishes I'd left in the dishpan. Incredibly, to me, he had moved the stove out to clean behind it. And he had not only noticed the ancient grease on the floor next to the stove, but moved the wrought iron pot rack and cleaned it out. I mean that grease was there when I moved in. I tried Dawn once, didn't make much headway, so ignored it. I suppose I'd believed that no one else would ever see it. But Basil did, and that was the end of the grease. In sum, yes. Any time I need cleaning I will call CWW Cleaners -- who, btw, came from Niagara Falls to downtown Buffalo to clean my little apartment. Thank you, Basil Davis. P.S. Just sent Basil a tip because everywhere I look I find something he's cleaned that I never expected... even the spice bin. He has other cleaners who work for him, and I imagine they are all as conscientious and meticulous as he is. Great company.

Marcus promised a certain number of hours and failed to follow through--no warning, no update, no accountability. My team and I planned our schedules around the hours he committed to. Instead of communicating when he realized he didn't need us, he waited until the exact moment I showed up at the job site to tell me I was no longer needed. That level of disregard for someone else's time and planning is unacceptable. To make matters worse, his crew's work ethic was terrible. His employees did a half-assed job and left most of the real work to my team. On top of that, one of his workers was openly smoking what appeared to be PCP/K2 right on the job site--in full view of others, including the project manager. That is not only unprofessional, it's unsafe. Between the lack of communication, broken promises, wasted time, and completely inappropriate on-site behavior, I would never recommend subcontracting with this company or trusting them on a professional project. Save yourself the stress and find a company that actually respects people and runs a legitimate operation.

The roof had been cedar shake, with two or three layers of asphalt shingles. None of us, the owners nor I, had had any experience with a roof replacement. Repair, yes. Re-shingling, yes. In a nutshell, the attic was completely unusable after the old roof was taken off and a new roof put on. Soot and debris were so thick, there was no way to even go up the stairs. So it was left in limbo...maybe eight years. Over the past couple of years I had called a few cleaning outfits. No one wanted to touch it after I explained the situation. Until ServPro. So I gave their info to the landlord. ServPro are the bomb. Their slogan: Like it Never Happened. True. Dave and his crew of two started on Monday morning. Wednesday afternoon Dave returned to collect the last piece of equipment, an industrial strength fan with filter, which had been left to continue running overnight for completely cleaning the air up there. All of the ServPro employees were completely professional -- courteous and considerate at all times. I really don't think they'd seen anything quite this bad...well, maybe cleaning up after a fire or a flood would be worse, but an attic...and in June with outside temps in the 80s? And they had to wear full body coveralls over their clothes. Yikes. But no complaints. They took it all in stride and did an awesome job. Thank you, ServPro!
