*Update* I bumped up my original 4-star review to 5-stars after the owners reached out to me to address some of the minor cleaning items that were missed. They mentioned that normally they follow up on the cleaning and if anything was missed they will come back out and make sure everything is taken care of. Since I had already done the final bit of cleaning myself, they offered to credit me back some of the cleaning fee. I really appreciated their desire to make sure I was 100% happy with everything. I just had my final cleaning inspection and passed with flying colors, and will be receiving my full deposit back. */update* I recently used custom maid cleaning for a move out cleaning. For the most part I was happy with the experience. The scheduling and quote process was very easy. They came out to my house for a couple minutes, looked around at what needed to be done, and sent me a quote later that day. They had flexible scheduling which I also appreciated, seeing as how I had called a different cleaning service two weeks out of the cleaning date and was told they were all booked up. Custom Maid fit me in on my preferred day, and even said they would come on the weekend if needed. A team of 3 came the day of the scheduled cleaning. They were about an hour early and I still hadnt cleared everything out yet, but they were able to work around it. They were quick and efficient and finished cleaning the 1100 square foot place in about an hour and a half. Overall I would rate their cleaning job a 'B'. There were still some nooks and crannies of the fridge I had to finish cleaning (they didn't pull the drawer unit out and there was a bunch of crumbs that had fallen back there that needed some seriously cleaning) and they also didn't vacuum along the very edges of the carpet using an attachment, so I also had to go back through and take care of that. But other than those two items everything else looked great and it saved me a lot of time and back breaking work. read more

Very disappointed in this service. They were quick to reply, but the stipulation was that I allowed them to view my home through a video-chat app. Now that I think of it, I should have used more discretion. How do we know what they are doing with the video of our house. Because of my work schedule, I had a hard time getting hold of an answer. Then we were finally turned down, they did not want our business. Is it because we are senior citizens? We wanted once/month cleaning -- was not inadequate? Please do not waste your time trying to obtain their services, you will regret it. Only one cleaning service so far but first visit was great. I had three employees for about an hour. They were all very nice and professional. Cleaning was sufficient. I still had to spot clean some of the floor afterwards but for the most part the price was well worth what I received.. It was less work I had to do that week! read more

Just got off the phone with someone at the company. They are very nice and offered to make everything right. I consider them a very good company, just a few little glitches. I would suggest if you use them just make sure you're happy before they leave or contact the front office. I was looking for a company to clean my elderly parents home- as a one time cleaning. They have a hard time with more than just daily upkeep. The quote process was easy and efficient. I did not like that the cleaners came two and a half hours early. I was in the middle of work, and they randomly showed up. Why get an appointment time if you are coming that much earlier? They spent 50 minutes cleaning an 1100 sq ft home. The floors looked great- the bathroom not so much. They did not clean the lights around the mirror in the bathroom or around the toilet. Did not clean the vanity. When they cleaned the top of the dresser, I was told they couldn't remember how things went, so they just piled everything back on the top of the dresser. The cleaners were very nice, but if you finished 45 minutes sooner than the estimate, maybe you could have slowed down and done a bit better job. There was a follow up call to see how the cleaning went, and I said it was ok. I just did not feel it was worth getting into for a one time cleaning. I would say they are ok, but not great. Huge disappointment. Seeing the good reviews on Yelp, I thought I'd give them a try. What a mistake! They paid no attention to detail. I specified a deep clean and received what I felt was a quick once over. I even went through and told them exactly what needed to be done and what was exoected. (This was done through video conference and might have cibtributed to the lack of understanding). So much was missed. Pointed out their shortcomings and they said they would come bake and make it right. Well, they came back and didn't make it right. Even after sending them pictures of what needed to be done, they still didn't do it! A waste if 250 bucks as I had to reclean myself! I wanted to give them 1 star, but bumped up to two because they did come back to try to make it right, but unfortunately failed miserably. I was very disappointed and would never hire again. read more

I used Custom Maid Cleaning to clean my aged father's house which hadn't been cleaned in a year. He was in the hospital so I contacted Colleen to see if I could arrange a cleaning while he was gone. I live in Arizona and couldn't be there to oversee the process. She worked with me above and beyond what I would have expected. We needed to work out how they would get in the house, what they would do about the fridge filled with food, and how to handle the enormous amount of papers on every surface. They put me at ease, cleaned everything and even watered his plants. I felt 100% comfortable leaving my dad's house in their care. When my father returned home he said it was like receiving a wonderful gift. He didn't recognize the house and was elated at the service. I will use Custom Maid Cleaning again! read more

I was originally looking for a deep cleaning to get my house in order, with possible weekly or biweekly service. With a toddler, two German Shepherds, another baby due in December and part-time journalism work on my plate, I don't always have time to get all the nooks and crannies. I've been without hired help since The Cleaning Authority left town a few years ago. I was looking for a company that had all their paperwork in order (licensed, bonded, insured, background checks), that puts in a lot of elbow grease for the money, that is reliable, and offers top-notch service with a smile. There are a lot of people who can clean, but the best take great pride in the work they do -- and that's who I want coming to my house. I had contacted a few other companies -- one did a quote by email, another promised to come to do an in-person quote but blew me off as a no call/no show! By contrast, Colleen from Custom Maid showed up exactly when she said she would and provided a fair quote. Four girls showed up to blitz my house. The office called ahead of time to let me know they were running 15 minutes late but on their way, which I appreciated very much. They had to drive all the way to South Buffalo, so it was totally understandable. The crew was very friendly and personable; I enjoyed chatting with them while they were here. They took an interest in my life, which is a level of care you don't find with every company. I couldn't believe how spotless they got my tub, sink and stove! They cleaned areas like baseboards, window sills, light fixtures and appliance interiors that not every area cleaner is willing to do without charging extra.I plan to have a few of the girls come regularly so I can spend more time with my precious little ones instead of scrubbing. read more

The house was left spotless, and it was not an easy house to clean (a 90-year old home with lots of wooden shutters and blinds and 4 floors). We have been through a few cleaning services over the years--some very good, others not so much. We just had our second service with Custom Maid and both times I was blown away. They really take the time to do the job right. And the little "extras" are really special. For instance when they say they will make a bed, they don't just pull the covers up. My son's bed was beautifully made like a department store bed, with all of his stuffed animals arranged on it. You can tell they really care.
