Red Rose recently completed a third project for us. They did a complete spring clean up, which included trimming, mulching, removing ground cover and old shrubs. They also cleared a whole section in our back yard, and put in new plantings. The team worked diliently, methodically, and even continued as it rained. Complete cleanup was impressive, considering the weather conditions. Their hard work was worth every penny we paid! The results were trrific. Two years ago they competely redid our front landscaping which included removing 40+ year-old shrubs, putting in new plantings and seeding a small lawn area. That fall they did the same type of work for a section of our back yard. We are still receiving compliments about their work! This company has pleasant and professional employees. I use Red Rose for snow removal and have for 3 years now. I like the fact the communicate via email that they are out plowing and when they should be finished. They will also come back if the street plow comes by after they have come. I have a fairly new concrete driveway and I live that their tractor does not rip up my driveway nor my lawn. read more

Where do I start with this company? If you've had a terrible experience, I'm so sorry. This company goes by the motto of not being "fly-by-nighters", but in fact the owner, management, and the incompetent multi-felon employees "Fly-By-The seat of their f*ing pants". I wish I could rate -10. Unfortunately, I worked here. Which now, is not something I'm proud of. But I did gain experience through the years, that I'm now able to use elsewhere. But regardless. These people are low-key scam artists. They under-quote jobs, mostly from a lack of experience and understanding of how landscaping actually works, and then charge you more half way through the job when they didn't quote and bring enough material. They simply do not care. It's about making as much money as possible so they can buy more equipment and trucks. Frankly they don't care about the final result they care about the $$. If you notice, most of the negative reviews are regarding simple incompetence from management, owner, and employees. Believe them. The core of the business is based off of YouTube "instructional" videos and caffeine, not professionalism and experience. The management has a big chip on its shoulder, and fails year after year to adjust or become better. The quality of work and the core values of this business has depleted greatly over the last few years. Some employees got put on unemployment, and paid under the table during the winter this year, 24/25. Be careful hiring this company. Be careful working for this company. Be careful working WITH this company if you are another contractor. Most of the employees that are left here don't know what they are doing and have zero experience. Or they're on drugs. Lots of drugs. Anyway. And if you're reading this after RedRose installed your shed; good luck. Get a lawyer. Simply don't hire this company. Steer away. read more

They were contracted out to grade and seed my lawn after the town dug up my lawn to replace a gas line. They drove a truck over my healthy grass, left tire marks, and did a half ass job. I take a lot of pride in my lawn being a new homeowner, but the Complete unwillingness to compromise and work with me upon my complaint is unreal. Just didn't do the right thing. Amended three days later...after on line reviews they changed from not offering to do anything and putting it on the man trying to make a memorial garden for his son...they did what they should have on the first day they were called. It was so easy to do that my uncle had only brushed his teeth and did some dishes and someone had fixed it. Next time DO BETTER. Good job but stand behind your work sir. (writing a review on behalf of my uncle)Despite the efficiency of plowing (which they do well) My uncle who is extremely fastidious about his home, his cars and his yard and has done his own work until it got too difficult this year...(he is well over 75). This company is horrible about working WITH a customer. I run a garage door company and we stand behind our work!!! They were hired by him after doing the plowing and some sod work to put a small tree in the corner of the yard. They put in a small tree in the backyard...in 7-10 days two branches were snapped on one side and and one is already brown. His yard is fenced he has no kids and no animals, nothing. They flat out said it was not like that when they planted it. After paying $365 for that tree it now looks like it is lopsided...someone will have to dig it back up and at least turn it. They did not even offer to do that!!!!! Someone tell me why ONE side is snapped...the way it was laying in the truck perhaps or transported standing up andhaving it fall over is my guess. The least you could do sir is to offer to redig and simply turn it...to save your good reputation. Shame on you taking advantage of older people on limitede incomes. Excellent and easy to work with for my lawn care needs and I went through several other companies first with many issues.

I was very excited we had found a local small business to take on our landscaping job. Or initial meetings with Pamela were great and we were so excited to see what was to come. Upon the arrival of the crew it was very obvious there was miscommunication between the team members. My husband and I had to go out multiple times to answer questions / explain things that we were promised. (They couldn't get their tablets to work and show them the designs or project list) The crew did not do a good job notifying us when the day was done OR cleaning up after themselves when finishing for the day. Luckily I found a plant tag laying around when cleaning up after them one day and realized they had a plant color wrong. AFTER I had already corrected them earlier that day about a different plant color. They took care of both of those mistakes and informed me it was again a miscommunication, along with almost forgetting to do a whole area of our landscaping. When informed I feel they rushed the process to finish the job. The edging is awful, the grass regrowth makes the beds look unfinished. Once the job was complete we had numerous issues with plants looking like they were dying to looking beat up in the process of planting. We were told multiple times that someone would come back to review. And sometimes they did but it took more then two weeks at times and we were quickly dismissed on our concerns. When we hired them we made a point to say our main issue was the weed growth as we had bought the house after years of no upkeep. We weeds were awful and we stressed that was our biggest concern. Let's just say the weeds are still there... after being assured they wouldn't be. And then coming back and picking them by hand a time or two. We were told some run around that they would come back and pull the mulch back and re spray... it never happened. I got so upset and frustrated we decided it was time to pay the bill and just call it a loss. I again expressed my concerns to the owners son upon paying my bill and he assured me he would be back himself to give our landscaping another once over and see what he could do about the issue. Because they didn't want us upset. He never came... we've continued to pull the ridiculous amount of weeds multiple times AGAIN. Needless to say. We had a huge back yard project we had got a quote for them on. And planned to do it this coming season. We will be finding someone else. And we'll probably have to find someone to redo our front as well. We do not recommend anyone to use this company. Unless you want a bunch of run around and a lot of miscommunication. read more

If it were based on the quality of the job, Red Rose would rate five stars, but in our experience, their reliability can be terrible. We can't physically cut our own lawns due to health reasons so we depend on them. Today is November 7th. We have a contract for lawn cutting once a week. The last time our lawn was cut was October 13th. Admittedly, rainy weather made cutting conditions inadvisable for our normally scheduled days, but other customers we know have been serviced regularly during this period because they get serviced on other regular weekdays earlier each week and were being 'caught up' on our normal day. A miss now and then is understandable, but their policy seems to be to service regularly on regular days and if that's not feasible you're out of luck. They claim they will catch up with missed customers when weather prevents normal service. This has not been our experience. This latest 'vacation' is not the first time. No explanation given and probably no more cutting this year. When weather gets bad, they seem to start over with the top of their weekly list and those of us scheduled for later that week are missed, even when our regular day is fine and the lawn dry, because they are catching up with those missed earlier that week. Repeated contacts with Red Rose have not reaped any satisfaction to this lapse in service. So excellent quality of work, but poor customer service. read more

Where do i start with this company, well i will start with a back yard sod job done in 2023 those boys did a 5 star job, saying that i then hired them to do plowing again no complaints. Now we get to this summer. I hired them to remove some shrubbery in the back corner of my yard and plant a tree that cost me $365 just for the tree,10 days later i noticed some branches with brown leaves. There manager came and looked at it tore off the bad branches and said this tree was not damaged when they put it in and just flat out refused to replace, no offers to do anything. Could of at the very least offered to turn the tree so the damaged part would be in the back side BUT NOTHING !! I just put up a new fence prior to this work i have no kids here and I'm a senior citizen. So much for having a nice memorial area for my son. Basically i sat back and left them do their job. NEVER let anyone plant a tree without looking it over. So in ending i will say some of their work is good some not so good, lesson learned and they also lost my plowing contract. I was asleep at 12:00 at night but sure enough red rose had to come. I just wanted some sleep after shoveling and snow-blowing all day but I go to sleep at 10 and by 12 they are snow blowing. They had all day to do it. They shouldn't be running equipment at 12. read more

As a senior citizen living alone, I am very fortunate to have found this company. The owner is easily contacted with any questions, problems. Employees are prompt and professional. They have been taking care of all my landscaping needs for a year and they never disappoint. Sod, mulch, clean-ups trimming - they do everything - snow plowing included.
