We took the doors off of it and put it on our porch because we had another appointment at 1200 and left at 11:15. Just got home at 2:00 and it's still on my porch and now my new one is here for delivery. I should have just scheduled it to be hauled off by Lowe's. If he can't keep his work to come get a free working fridge- I'd hate to buy something from him. Done waste your time because I wouldn't believe a word out of his mouth!

Do not call the Sears Customer Service Repair. You will likely wait at least 2 weeks for an appointment for your broken appliance. They may or may not call when on the way. If you are not home, you will wait another 2 weeks. If you call with a problem, you will be sent to an out-of-country rep who will just apologize for your inconvenience. It's a shame...Sears used to be an All Americam Hometown Hero.

Pricing also wasn't very appealing -- everything felt inflated, which I'm guessing may be influenced by the surrounding area. What stood out the most was the lack of engagement. There were plenty of staff gathered in the back having a loud conversation, but during the roughly 10 minutes we walked around, no one acknowledged us or asked if we needed help. Because of the tight space, limited selection, and pricing, we ended up leaving without purchasing anything. Not a terrible experience, but not one that encouraged us to stay or return.

They come by with the dishwasher and tell me they can't install it because the connection (water line to the unit) was too far from the install area (it's maybe 2 feet away). OK thanks Lowe's. That's when I found Smith Appliance. I told them the problem they told me "no problem". A Curteous professional sales person helped me select an appliance (made in u.s.a) in my price range, they have an on-site install guy gave me a price on the spot (happened to be there) and they came and installed it. That was almost a year ago, the thing runs perfectly, very quiet , dishes clean.....my only regret is that I should have dug in discovered this business 30 years ago. SR sold us a column freezer and refrigerator pair in 2021. We had to wait over four months for…read moredelivery, which was typical during the pandemic, and the refrigerator that we received had recently been manufactured and has functioned well. But we later learned that the "new" freezer we received had been manufactured three years earlier, and has been faulty since it was installed. The manufacturer has provided service under its warranty, so we are hoping that the current repair service will resolve the problems. In addition to selling us an old model freezer as new, SR ordered the wrong components to complete the installation of our units and delivered a broken component, all of which added months to the completion of our purchase experience. During that time, the company was unresponsive to our calls for help. SR has earned its poor reputation with customers, the Better Business Bureau, and even area appliance technicians. Today's technician guessed that SR was our supplier based on my brief description of our purchase experience. Avoid SR, and avoid unnecessary headaches.
